    hope your mental gets better karli. going to therapy is such a big step and im so glad you did it! you’re going to grow so much from therapy and i hope it helps you to feel your feelings. a book that helped me at your age is “the defining decade” its written by a psychiatrist and just anecdotes from 20something year old patients about aspects of life such as work/love/the body and the mind. your piercing is adorableee def makes me want to get the same one

    for your piercing you can just use antibacterial unscented soap if you don't want to get a salt water spray. both of those are super helpful for healing. when i got my cartridge done years ago i just used the soap twice a day and didn't have any issues at all. just make sure when you are cleaning it you're gently rotating the jewelry a few times around in your ear so your skin doesn't grow over it. thats where you will will run into issues!! the ball jewelry is normal btw, its to give a barrier between the ring and a surface (like your pillow) during the healing process. you can switch it out after about a month to another hoop or a stud :)

    When I got my cartilage pierced last summer it got super inflamed and gross! For the first couple months it was in and out of soreness and irritation. I would suggest just keeping it as dry as possible for the first couple months (as this is the advice my piercer gave me). You can do this by using hair dryer for a couple seconds on the piercing after cleaning it with whatever cleaning product the piercer gave you. Good luck:) It looks SUPER cute☺️ Trust me, you will see better days with the piercing VERYYY soon lol

    Warm or cold compresses: A cold compress can help numb the pain, and a warm compress may increase circulation in the area to help reduce swelling Soak the area in warm water for 20 minutes, 3 or 4 times a day immediately after your piercing and can last between 3-6 days.

    Damnnnnn your hair came out great!!! I've gotten multiple cartilage piercings. I have found that the best way to heal them is to spray them with neilmed piercing spray 3 times a day and then after a couple weeks less frequently. Make sure you do not sleep directly on it. You can use a travel pillow if you sleep on the side you got pierced; it will elevate it. And do not poke the piercing with a qtip because the cotton can fall off on it. And overall just be careful with it because a ring is more prone to moving around than the stud. It looks awesome, you're gonna love it!!!

    Pro tip for the next time you dye your hair: as soon as you’re done coating your hair with the dye pull your hair up off your neck and face and grab a wash rag that you don’t care about, get it wet with warm or hot water and scrub the dye off so it doesn’t stain your skin. It’s a life saver and really does work!!

    when get your cartilage piercing it should never be pierced with a hoop you can switch to one once it’s healed but i really recommend cleaning it with h2o spray

    • @coolcatt
      @coolcatt 7 месяцев назад +2

      this is NOT true. cartilage piercings are ALWAYS pierced with a hoop because a stud lies way too close to the piercing on both sides. the hoop also allows you to twist it around during cleaning to prevent skin from growing over the jewelry.

    omg I am a live in nanny and I babysit for other families sometimes & I love it!!! you get to choose your own rate and it’s so flexible plus most jobs are cash. the care app is awesome to find families. a lot of them want you to be cpr certified, it’s cheap through the red cross and it’s super easy! also if you put vaseline all over your skin before you put the dye in it’ll be so much easier to scrub it off in the shower 😚

  • @AStateOfNirvana
    @AStateOfNirvana 7 месяцев назад +5

    As someone with two cartridge piercings please don’t touch it with unwashed hands & keep it clean as much as possible because that piercing gets infected easily & it’s hard the heal. Plus since you got it pierced with a hoop it is even harder to heal

  • @angelbeck1131
    @angelbeck1131 6 месяцев назад +1

    i would be really careful, i got an industrial and it got so infected i had to get surgery, it’s seriously based on how your body heals and it’s a lot of trauma on a small piece of cartilage. just take really good care of it and see a doctor if it doesn’t get better, the surgery was so bad lol

    Tea tree oil on a fresh piercing is a big no!!! Also don’t twist and pull at the jewelry as it won’t heal. I recommend saline solution and no touching. Helix piercing are known for taking forever to heal / not ever healing all the way and constantly getting infected. I have my entire ear pierced and all my helix piercings took way too long to heal bc I was touching on them. ❤️

    I got a daith peircing done and it got red and puffy two hours after getting it. Stayed that way for a week then got a lump under my ear like neck area. I ended up with a staph infection. They had to give me heavy pain meds in order to touch the ear and get the jewelry out because it hurt that bad. Also ingrown toenails are the worst. do epsom salt soaks for your feet.

    Getting your helix pierced with a hoop will help it heal much faster it but definitely use sea salt piercing spray OR for my first cartilage I used unscented sensitive skin face wash and they both healed within a month. I used bacterial spray on my rook and it got infected so I wouldn’t recommend that.

    When I got my daith pierced, I had to use a salt water solution. I would fill a cup with warm water and a pinch of sea salt. Fill the cup to the top. I know it is annoying, but you lean over and put your ear in the cup. Let it soak for 10 minutes a day. It will get better really quick.

    you have the seat belt in the lower position, raise it up, the closer the neck it sits the safer it is, if
    you have it too low then the risk is that it slides off your shoulder during an accident, and then it
    can hurt you instead

    You know there are cat and other pet sitting apps you can join and get paid to look after others kitties rather than babies. Many adults do this as a full time job and you can also do it in other countries round the world so you can be paid to have free accommodation at their houses whilst they are on their holidays whilst feeding their kitties

      You're literally the epitome of not being educated. There's plenty of celebrities who have all the money in the world, yet 0 mental health. Perfect example - Matthew Perry and look what happened to him. How about you take yourself and get tf off her page if you don't have something kind to say. You're disgusting and so uneducated it's actually embarrassing.
