Forgot to mention the reason why you don’t do freeze- melt (having xingqiu with Layla or diona or something) is because shatter will happen before either vaporize or melt when using a claymore (or any heavy) attack. So it’s all for nothing and you lose a million damage. So don’t do it. One or the other not both.
Since I started playing the game and as soon I saw Diluc, I love him overall. Waited some few patches to get him. As soon as I got him, I built him and used Diluc in the abyss in which I can 36 stars with him especially last abyss patch will Hydro Tulpa. I don't care to others telling that he was powercrept. With that, I still enjoy the game to the fullest because I used characters that I like.

Ever since that moment he rushed into that domain with Kayea and the abyss mage I was like 🤩 and then when we got to try him in his story quest - must pull and build. I use him all the time and just pulled CR for him. Can’t wait to use these teams in abyss.
I always wanted Dilic from day 1. Spent all my resources on the first banner which I somehow thought had Dilic (and Jean) as a "featured" character. Didn't get Dilic until 2.5 years later in a single random standard banner pull.
I used Diluc as my main DPS for a LONG time, for most fo my AR 35, which ive built up over 523,951/7475 AR exp, ive got 20 somethign lvl 70's Once I've farmed enough to raise the core teams to 80 I will pull the plug an run my Ascension to move up a WL and AR ranking. BTW can anyone tell me if that 523k will push me close to lvl 55 once i start raising my WLs?
So fun to see these off meta characters like Diluc get revitalized thanks to Xianyun. She really makes a bunch of wacky teams work. Just earlier I watched someone do dps Shenhe. Haven't seen one yet but I'm looking forward to someone making dps Dori work.
Another thing that's possible for Diluc's future is a more suitable 5 star weapon. His best at the moment is Redhorn solely cause crit DMG substat pairing nicely with his crit ascenison and Marechausse. If we were to get a similar type of weapon but with a passive that's useful for Diluc, then that'd definitely be some sort of increase for his overall power.
The only OG 5 stars that have not been buffed by new releases are QiQi and Mona now. Mona is Fine for what she is meant to do, She is a screen shot generator for damage, but the days of one shot damage are long gone vs DOT or lots of rapid smaller attacks. QiQi can output the most healing, but you just dont really need that much healing I dont think there is a way to buff her.

Until you reach his C3, this is literally better than getting most limited DPSes. Yes its a specific team comp but the damage output of his team is fucking up there with the absolute elites in the entire game.
Just forgo swirling Pyro. The time you spend trying to swirl is a damage loss anyway, so you might get bigger pp damage with Diluc but you won't have enough Bennett buffs to last. Abyss is too easy nowadays that swirling for me is just a hassle. And Furina's dmg bonus for me is already the offset for losing VV.
Abyss being easy is debatable. It still requires you not to be a newer player (I'd say at least a year or younger could struggle) and to have invested properly. A lot of the people that are sitting here watching this already have an advantage by actively seeking out information. A lot of the game playerbase is casual and can still be struggling with abyss after years of playing because it's not really a goal for them.
@@Sinovian haha that's me. Can't even 33 star and I have my fair share of heavy hitters, like 9-9-9 Furi, C2R2 Yoimiya and C1 Rizzly w/Skyward Atlas. Now I'm furiously levelling Raiden and Nahida, but that takes so long! I think the biggest issue is most players take a year or so to have a counter to whatever the Abyss hurls at them. Maybe they have a strong Neuv team but then the Hydro Tulpa forces them to power-level a wierd overload team from scratch. Or whatever.
I’ve been using Diluc since the moment I got him (and I legit prayed to lose the 50\50 to him on cynos banner way back at the start of 2023) I never understood why people hated him because for me he’s been one of my strongest characters and I’m still trying to get good artifacts for him. The moment I got him thought I had to get his skin as well! Still I’m glad to now see people appreciating him again, because he is a good character 😊 (The only thing that’s bugging me is I’m trying to get the wolf’s grave stone and it just won’t come home 😢 maybe one day I’ll finally get it and my diluc will feel complete)
As a player who didn’t pull for xianyun.i am happy with gaming as both diluc and gaming only can do good DMG during burst.gaming does a bit more damage,but diluc might be able to do it more often. I am at 68 pity guaranteed so I can’t risk it.i did 16 pulls before that and got 1 gaming.will get c1 from the selector. Edit: I got xianyun while trying to get more gaming cons and spent the remaining of my pulls in that banner,now also have c4 gaming.but lost my guaranteed arlecchino.
Diluc, Kazuha, Xianyun, Furina is a good alternative if you want to use Yelan on the other side of the abyss! And with this team composition you can easily weave Diluc's skill attacks into his plunges and grab the 4 piece Crimson Witch skill-use dependent buff, while vaporising every hit. It's arguably even more unga-bunga, that said, I did notice that it is about 10 seconds slower to kill abyss floors compared to the Yelan-version for me. I am getting double swirls on this comp, don't ask me how and why that happens. I've checked my Diluc stat screen often, and I got it reliably. Rotation: Furina skill -> burst, (Kazuha skill) Xianyun skill -> burst, Kazuha burst Diluc burst -> 3x skill, plunge -> plunge spam (You can actually put Kazuha skill anywhere, really.)
@@AnimeShortsContent1 its essentially what you try to pull off without Yelan. Kazuha's burst infuses with Furinas Hydro and does constant Hydro damage automatically. With this comp you do not use normal attacks, so you can weave Diluc's skill in, or just plunge spam
My pulling timeline is just so perfect First I got Yelan in her last banner and I had to pull her beacuse I got her bow on 7 pity while pulling for the HP% sword, next I lost 50/50 on Neuvi banner and did not get him. Then I got Furina and after that got Diluc on her banner at 30 pity and now I got Xianyun at 40 pity.
Honestly, Yoimiya / Fischl / Chevy / Benny gave me one of the easiest 36 star clears I've had ever last abyss, playing her across from dual hydro Hu Tao. But I'm not going to pretend I'm good at the abyss. Looking forward to FINALLY building Diluc though.
diluc needs this: 1. A good claymore that match him - a good crit dmg claymore that give good enough passive 2. better artifact set - crimson witch isn't that good with plunging loadouts 3. melting - melting will greatly increase his dmg if there is a character that can buff and do good cryo application this will make him rise higher 4. speeding skill casting buff - give a pyro buffer or cryo buffer or hydro buffer or a new claymore that "set" the burst animation to 1 second 5. skill casting buff - give any type of buff to the elemental skill that will make the casting faster or the possiblility to cancel animation it quicker 6. break the hp below or above rules - give any access to use the wolf's grave stone and diluc's condenslation 1 with out the below 40%hp and the above 50%hp rules and give more crit based on atk that more than 2000 2 of 6 from this I think it will be rly nice for diluc to have btw I rly want the new claymore idea

On a related note diluc can now use shimanawa if he has enough er for that monstrous 50% plunge multi especially in the bennet team that you don't need to use your ult. If you are using serpent's spine (which I used for my calcs) it should be about 5-8% better than marasussy set. Your mileage may vary.
Would a new player watching this video understand the necessary plunge mechanic pros and cons after watching this video? Would they truly understand that without Xianyun, Diluc provides significantly different value to someone's account? Could a new viewer build Diluc if they didn't have Xianyun after watching this video? I would critique it does not. I think this is a great video but i don't feel it's a Updated Diluc Guide. It's a guide to building Diluc if you have Xianyun. I feel like it's a guide designed for a target audience that has a much more mature genshin account than a new player would.
Maybe Layla burst and skill could work to provide extra cryo for Melt plunge? Ganyu can also do it but it's a little more inconsistent as far as I can tell. Rosaria's burst ticks at the same rate as Kokomi's jellyfish so she can't apply cryo fast enough to melt all plunges, I doubt any cryo unit can keep up with that, you'd have to let go of Bennett to have a second cryo or anemo unit, but I mean, Rosaria/Kaeya can do some mean damage and provide extra crit rate because of Cryo resonance and Rosaria's crit share, Layla provides shielding not to get interrupted and easy TotM access, so any combination of these three along with Diluc and Xianyun can work imo
It's so great to see Monstadt characters becoming relevant again. I play since the 2.8 and I felt like 80% of the nice 5* were all Inazumans. Now I want non-niche sumerians, specially 4*. Still dreaming with the day they'll fix my queens Dehya and Candace.
I literally neglect him and now that i pulled for xianyun my diluc can now deal up to 200k w lvl 8 normal attack so im happy now thwt i have 5 star male pyro dps and now im gonna forget about him again when i pulled for arlecchino because hes the main father of the game so bye diluc
I would still put Tighnari above him as a standart banner dps, moreso for newer players. Just because Diluc needs a new limited 5 star to reach those levels, meanwhile Tighnari really is strong with Fishl and the dendro mc, he is not as reliant on Nahida as Diluc is on Xianyun

Is Shimenawa (+50% plunge dmg) set on Diluc + C6 Benny competitive vs other sets, since you don't care about his burst? (I haven't pulled the trigger on Xianyun yet)
If you want to play with Diluc, use a shield. His charged attack is really good, especially after the ultimate. His weakness is the interruption. That is why you want a shield. Great for Burgeon.
Diluc is my favorite character but I need Nahida more than I need Xianyu, maybe i'll be lucky but otherwise, next time (unless arlechino/chlorinde is that good)
Of the four five-star characters I've got off the standard banner, they were all my C3 Diluc, and as if to taunt me, my third five-star weapon from it is the Wolf's Gravestone. _Currently_ dropped it onto my Eula, and Diluc's carrying the R5 Serpent Spine, but the Diluc Plunge Meta is an enticing time for pulling him back out from his World Boss grind retirement.
I'm still waiting for Diluc to come home.... I've wanted him since I started playing (just under a year ago) and he has avoided me at every turn. And the way I'm so ready to pull for Xianyun if I get him is wild Also, as far as melt Gaming goes. I really like pairing Gaming with Chongyun, especially if Chongyun has his CD reduction active (I think it's C2). I think people like to build him for DPS but I've never liked that tbh, he does well using his skill and I pop him on Noblesse so his burst still helps out with the team. Which is good because I like sacrificial on him to help with his skill uptime and it would suck if the ER stat was a waste lol
15:45 idk about that, I tried Keqing with Furina, Nahida, and Xianyun and I end up with somewhat similar clear time to diluc and she is also not in circle impact so just a heads up that he is not the only one that got buffed by Xianyun so I disagree calling him the strongest especially if we are not talking purely about bennett C6 nuke vape build (I don't disagree completely but Id place both in same rank) Anyway Xianyun is such a great character for new and especially old player alike, she buff everyone be it Xiao and any other non-bow chara out there, they will become really powerful/usable if you pair them with Xianyun + furina + Bennett/element specific buffer. like Xianyun, Ayaka, Shenhe and Furina is not bad at all or Albedo + Furina + Xianyun + Noelle/Itto have pretty close clear time too to Diluc in current abyss. I tried using Candace and I'm so happy I can finally use non cope team and clear abyss comfortably with her dealing 150-200k plunge thanks to abyss buff (130 ish outside abyss). I love Candace design but before C6 she fckin suk ass and even at C6 she can only be a cope AOE replacement for Xinqiu in bloom related team but now any chara that is not bow can easily deal 100k/plunge with the right team
Tighnari is a monster, Id say Diluc is on par with Keqing (tho Keqing is easier to reach godmode cause Dendro is an easier floor to reach than CR+Furina+Yelan), but youre really underestimating Tighnari, specially with constellations into the mix, Tighnari C6 is illegal.
Diluc is one of my favorite characters, but his lackluster damage made me regret wasting resin on him farming the 4pc crimson witch, even my low investment yoimiya (I accidently got while building pity) doing more damage and soon I started forgetting him after getting Neuvillette and Raiden who are both badass (its important for me) and do insane damage... After seeing Xianyun leaks I started testing him with furina and bennet on the fontaine gravity boss and really surprised at 75k plunges (ik its too low but he never reached that number)... Hopefully if I win my 50/50 on her I am definitely going to bring my diluc to floor 12 for the first time... Happy he is probably going to become my 3rd or even 2nd best dps in my account... 😀 Genshin should release more characters like Xianyun, Furina and Chevreuse who bring something new to the table....
I played since 1.0 and been maining Diluc ever since. I had a break at 2.1 and just came back to this game a week ago. I used all my primogems to get Nahida, and got her, but I just watched this video today, after Xianyun banner is gone. I guess I'm f'd.
As a Day 1 player, I managed to Win my first Diluc on Chiori banner, good thing I have Xianyun and now Diluc is my most preferred Pyro DPS competing with Hu Tao and Yoimiya :)
Constellation actually change his gameplay a bit (not for the plunge attack build though) It makes him weave 2 to 3 normal attack between skills and his normal attack combo won't reset when you use your skill.
Man you’re convincing me to use my c6 diluc… (sucks that his cons are mostly irrelevant though) He’s my first C6 5* because I lost 50/50 on a lot of archon banners I have c2 Raiden, c0 Zhong, c0 Nahida, c1 Furina (7 total archon 5*s) I was going for c3 Raiden and c2 Furina I won 50/50 for zhongli and c2 Raiden. But lost every other 50/50 to Diluc…
Layla has a long ult, and although she does not impose a strong status, if you put a good hydro applicator with her, then Layla will often freeze. Can you please test this pack? Here are 2 examples of packs: Diluc, Xing Qiu \ Ye Lan, Layla and a free slot (for example Bennett) Ka Ming, Xing Qiu\Ye Lan, Laila and free slot
As far as Diluc melt teams go, for off field cryo while he’s plunging what about using ganyus burst while he’s plunging? Him, her, xianyun, and flex slot for last.
I finally got Diluc, I'm actually glad that I lost 50/50 because I really don't want Xianyun for a lot of reason. I think I'm gonna build him for a little bit and save my wishes for Murata :)
I do melt plunge with C6 Kaeya, C6 Bennett and Xianyun (I have no Furina) - this is a variation on melt team I've been using with him for nearly 2 years but now Xianyun replacing Kazuha. The rotation is shorter than typical vape as Kaeya's burst only lasts 8 secs against elites/bosses (but I'm used to it); it's a doddle to swirl pyro and I don't bother swirling cryo. I get around 220k plunge (I've overcapped on cr so he never misses crits). I can kill overworld ASIMON in 2 plunges despite me being a mobile player with mechanical skill issues. 😄🔥🔥🔥
Hey, So i manage to Pull Diluc a few weeks ago and built him to Level 80. Im just a month old player so i am still having some trouble understanding all the builds and farming up. I just reached AR45 and started going ham on Shimenawa Domain for my Xingqiu and other Supports. I manage to trade the useless Artifacts for a decent Crimson Feather and Flower ( Flower stats = Att%, Flatt Att , Em and Critrate ) ( Feather Stats = Crit DMG , HP , Flatt Def and Def% ) so i get 2pc Pyro Buff. As for the Circlet i managed to get lucky in getting Crit Dmg main stat on my Bloodstained iron mask, with not that great of a sub stat. It has HP, ER , Flatt Att and Hp%. Now for my Sands and Goblet i have Att% main stat. Sands is Gladiator and Goblet is a wanderer. I am wondering if i should go for the 2pc 18% Att buff from Gladiator / 25% Physical DMG buff from Bloodstained / 80 EM Wanderer. As for the weapon im currently using the Prototype but im on my way to level up my Refinement 1 Serpentsphine. Thanks in Advance. I would really appreciate the Feedback and help.
Definitely gonna use Bennett...I activated his C6 and I have C2 Furina so the healing between him and CR is gonna be more than enough. I just got Xianyun today from a couple single pulls.
at first I was worried after losing to Diluc on Birb Lady banner, but then I remembered we're getting 3 extra wishes so I know I'll be able to reach pity again
I use raiden as support with skill, Charlotte skill as it applies cryo stuff, Diluc obviously, and adeptus woman as a F2P players this is nice I don't get good OP damage maybe around 14k but that's due to my poor luck on artifacts lol. Also to much damage fells off as finishing off enemies in one swoop kinds kills the vibe of fighting bosses. As I just started last October

I've been wanting to build him for over a year, but kept hearing nothing but distaste for his damage and kit. Just pulled cloud retainer this morning as well. I am super excited to build them both and have a fun new team!

Previously, Melt with Rosaria mainly worked due to Sucrose providing more cryo application, however Rosaria alone is definitely not enough to melt ALL Diluc plunges. And the other option which would be Kaeya also needed Kazuha's Burst to maintain enough cryo application.
i tried Rosaria and Kazuha. I read others who made it work, but I found maintaining cryo to be quite an hassle. Rosaria's aoe is small, and it doesnt last that long. So after a while my enemies go from cryo aura to pyro aura. I am curious whether Kaeya works better, he gets an additional orbital with one of his constellations i think
I felt like shit getting C1 Diluc and benching him because I hated his gameplay and low damage multipliers. I just got Nahida but will be farming primos to get Xianyun so I can finally play Diluc and enjoy him
It's actually Cloud Retainer, Furina, Yelan, Bennet, etc. who make ANY character awesome. I'll betyou could slap Qiqi in there and make Qiqi physical plunge and there will still be large numbers.
They buff a sandard banner and the next day they release a new character that makes that buff obsolete, for instance Jean => Xianyun, Diluc => gaming, they still want to make standard banners somewhat playable but god forbid they become meta or BIS in any comp.
I know you don't really cover whale content but C2 Ayaka has enough cryo for melt Diluc if you wanna do fancy dmg per screenshot 😅 Diluc about to be poppin off during whatever combat event has a buff for plunge attacks next 😂
Hehe got Diluc and Xianyun after starting on this game.. pulled gaming to c1 and got xingqiu from lantern event. XD pretty strong team for a 1 month old account. Also got some more 4 stars but dont really have much of an idea how to build more teams yet.

I’ve been using Diluc since the moment I got him (and I legit prayed to lose the 50\50 to him on cynos banner way back at the start of 2023) I never understood why people hated him because for me he’s been one of my strongest characters and I’m still trying to get good artifacts for him. The moment I got him thought I had to get his skin as well!
Still I’m glad to now see people appreciating him again, because he is a good character 😊
(The only thing that’s bugging me is I’m trying to get the wolf’s grave stone and it just won’t come home 😢 maybe one day I’ll finally get it and my diluc will feel complete)

As a player who didn’t pull for xianyun.i am happy with gaming as both diluc and gaming only can do good DMG during burst.gaming does a bit more damage,but diluc might be able to do it more often.
I am at 68 pity guaranteed so I can’t risk it.i did 16 pulls before that and got 1 gaming.will get c1 from the selector.
Edit: I got xianyun while trying to get more gaming cons and spent the remaining of my pulls in that banner,now also have c4 gaming.but lost my guaranteed arlecchino.

Diluc, Kazuha, Xianyun, Furina is a good alternative if you want to use Yelan on the other side of the abyss!
And with this team composition you can easily weave Diluc's skill attacks into his plunges and grab the 4 piece Crimson Witch skill-use dependent buff, while vaporising every hit. It's arguably even more unga-bunga, that said, I did notice that it is about 10 seconds slower to kill abyss floors compared to the Yelan-version for me. I am getting double swirls on this comp, don't ask me how and why that happens. I've checked my Diluc stat screen often, and I got it reliably.
Rotation:
Furina skill -> burst,
(Kazuha skill)
Xianyun skill -> burst,
Kazuha burst
Diluc burst -> 3x skill, plunge -> plunge spam
(You can actually put Kazuha skill anywhere, really.)
I used this one but switching furina(don't have her) with chongyun and his melts were pretty consistent~

@@AnimeShortsContent1 its essentially what you try to pull off without Yelan. Kazuha's burst infuses with Furinas Hydro and does constant Hydro damage automatically. With this comp you do not use normal attacks, so you can weave Diluc's skill in, or just plunge spam

My pulling timeline is just so perfect
First I got Yelan in her last banner and I had to pull her beacuse I got her bow on 7 pity while pulling for the HP% sword, next I lost 50/50 on Neuvi banner and did not get him.
Then I got Furina and after that got Diluc on her banner at 30 pity and now I got Xianyun at 40 pity.

Yeah, Wolf Gravestone, the most unique weapon, which cannot be gathered since ages! I play since beginning and still cannot get this weapon.
Honestly, Yoimiya / Fischl / Chevy / Benny gave me one of the easiest 36 star clears I've had ever last abyss, playing her across from dual hydro Hu Tao. But I'm not going to pretend I'm good at the abyss.
Looking forward to FINALLY building Diluc though.

Diluc was ok before too(c6kaeya team) ,after furina he becomes pretty viable and now xiayun makes him stronger.
All I can ever think about is Diluc!!!
diluc needs this:
1. A good claymore that match him - a good crit dmg claymore that give good enough passive
2. better artifact set - crimson witch isn't that good with plunging loadouts
3. melting - melting will greatly increase his dmg if there is a character that can buff and do good cryo application this will make him rise higher
4. speeding skill casting buff - give a pyro buffer or cryo buffer or hydro buffer or a new claymore that "set" the burst animation to 1 second
5. skill casting buff - give any type of buff to the elemental skill that will make the casting faster or the possiblility to cancel animation it quicker
6. break the hp below or above rules - give any access to use the wolf's grave stone and diluc's condenslation 1 with out the below 40%hp and the above 50%hp rules and give more crit based on atk that more than 2000

On a related note diluc can now use shimanawa if he has enough er for that monstrous 50% plunge multi especially in the bennet team that you don't need to use your ult. If you are using serpent's spine (which I used for my calcs) it should be about 5-8% better than marasussy set. Your mileage may vary.

Would a new player watching this video understand the necessary plunge mechanic pros and cons after watching this video? Would they truly understand that without Xianyun, Diluc provides significantly different value to someone's account? Could a new viewer build Diluc if they didn't have Xianyun after watching this video? I would critique it does not. I think this is a great video but i don't feel it's a Updated Diluc Guide. It's a guide to building Diluc if you have Xianyun. I feel like it's a guide designed for a target audience that has a much more mature genshin account than a new player would.
Furina and xianyun have opened up so many new teams and old characters and I love how it’s keeping the game fresh
Maybe Layla burst and skill could work to provide extra cryo for Melt plunge? Ganyu can also do it but it's a little more inconsistent as far as I can tell. Rosaria's burst ticks at the same rate as Kokomi's jellyfish so she can't apply cryo fast enough to melt all plunges, I doubt any cryo unit can keep up with that, you'd have to let go of Bennett to have a second cryo or anemo unit, but I mean, Rosaria/Kaeya can do some mean damage and provide extra crit rate because of Cryo resonance and Rosaria's crit share, Layla provides shielding not to get interrupted and easy TotM access, so any combination of these three along with Diluc and Xianyun can work imo
It's so great to see Monstadt characters becoming relevant again. I play since the 2.8 and I felt like 80% of the nice 5* were all Inazumans. Now I want non-niche sumerians, specially 4*.

I literally neglect him and now that i pulled for xianyun my diluc can now deal up to 200k w lvl 8 normal attack so im happy now thwt i have 5 star male pyro dps and now im gonna forget about him again when i pulled for arlecchino because hes the main father of the game so bye diluc
Diluc was like my first 5 star so seeing him make a comeback is so good to see.
I would still put Tighnari above him as a standart banner dps, moreso for newer players. Just because Diluc needs a new limited 5 star to reach those levels, meanwhile Tighnari really is strong with Fishl and the dendro mc, he is not as reliant on Nahida as Diluc is on Xianyun

Is Shimenawa (+50% plunge dmg) set on Diluc + C6 Benny competitive vs other sets, since you don't care about his burst? (I haven't pulled the trigger on Xianyun yet)

If you want to play with Diluc, use a shield. His charged attack is really good, especially after the ultimate. His weakness is the interruption. That is why you want a shield. Great for Burgeon.
Diluc is my favorite character but I need Nahida more than I need Xianyu, maybe i'll be lucky but otherwise, next time (unless arlechino/chlorinde is that good)

Of the four five-star characters I've got off the standard banner, they were all my C3 Diluc, and as if to taunt me, my third five-star weapon from it is the Wolf's Gravestone. _Currently_ dropped it onto my Eula, and Diluc's carrying the R5 Serpent Spine, but the Diluc Plunge Meta is an enticing time for pulling him back out from his World Boss grind retirement.
A weapon that is on same level as Homa because redhorn,one of the best he can use just because of stats
I'm still waiting for Diluc to come home.... I've wanted him since I started playing (just under a year ago) and he has avoided me at every turn. And the way I'm so ready to pull for Xianyun if I get him is wild
Also, as far as melt Gaming goes. I really like pairing Gaming with Chongyun, especially if Chongyun has his CD reduction active (I think it's C2). I think people like to build him for DPS but I've never liked that tbh, he does well using his skill and I pop him on Noblesse so his burst still helps out with the team. Which is good because I like sacrificial on him to help with his skill uptime and it would suck if the ER stat was a waste lol
15:45 idk about that, I tried Keqing with Furina, Nahida, and Xianyun and I end up with somewhat similar clear time to diluc and she is also not in circle impact so just a heads up that he is not the only one that got buffed by Xianyun so I disagree calling him the strongest especially if we are not talking purely about bennett C6 nuke vape build (I don't disagree completely but Id place both in same rank)
Anyway Xianyun is such a great character for new and especially old player alike, she buff everyone be it Xiao and any other non-bow chara out there, they will become really powerful/usable if you pair them with Xianyun + furina + Bennett/element specific buffer. like Xianyun, Ayaka, Shenhe and Furina is not bad at all or Albedo + Furina + Xianyun + Noelle/Itto have pretty close clear time too to Diluc in current abyss. I tried using Candace and I'm so happy I can finally use non cope team and clear abyss comfortably with her dealing 150-200k plunge thanks to abyss buff (130 ish outside abyss). I love Candace design but before C6 she fckin suk ass and even at C6 she can only be a cope AOE replacement for Xinqiu in bloom related team but now any chara that is not bow can easily deal 100k/plunge with the right team

Tighnari is a monster, Id say Diluc is on par with Keqing (tho Keqing is easier to reach godmode cause Dendro is an easier floor to reach than CR+Furina+Yelan), but youre really underestimating Tighnari, specially with constellations into the mix, Tighnari C6 is illegal.

Diluc is one of my favorite characters, but his lackluster damage made me regret wasting resin on him farming the 4pc crimson witch, even my low investment yoimiya (I accidently got while building pity) doing more damage and soon I started forgetting him after getting Neuvillette and Raiden who are both badass (its important for me) and do insane damage... After seeing Xianyun leaks I started testing him with furina and bennet on the fontaine gravity boss and really surprised at 75k plunges (ik its too low but he never reached that number)... Hopefully if I win my 50/50 on her I am definitely going to bring my diluc to floor 12 for the first time... Happy he is probably going to become my 3rd or even 2nd best dps in my account... 😀
Genshin should release more characters like Xianyun, Furina and Chevreuse who bring something new to the table....
I played since 1.0 and been maining Diluc ever since. I had a break at 2.1 and just came back to this game a week ago. I used all my primogems to get Nahida, and got her, but I just watched this video today, after Xianyun banner is gone. I guess I'm f'd.
In my opinion, he’s on par now with Tighnari and Keqing. It all depends on which enemy you’re dealing with.
As a Day 1 player, I managed to Win my first Diluc on Chiori banner, good thing I have Xianyun and now Diluc is my most preferred Pyro DPS competing with Hu Tao and Yoimiya :)
Diluc has and always will be one of my favorite and strongest characters, fuck the meta. Use who you like.
Constellation actually change his gameplay a bit (not for the plunge attack build though)
It makes him weave 2 to 3 normal attack between skills and his normal attack combo won't reset when you use your skill.
AS a Diluc main, this is HUGEEE. I always liked playing Diluc, even before Xianyun came out. after getting xianyun, He feels so damm freakin strong.
works almost just as well with dehya and xinyan btw. they also have the benefit of more interruption resistance but requires bennett c6

I was going for c3 Raiden and c2 Furina
I won 50/50 for zhongli and c2 Raiden. But lost every other 50/50 to Diluc…
Layla has a long ult, and although she does not impose a strong status, if you put a good hydro applicator with her, then Layla will often freeze. Can you please test this pack? Here are 2 examples of packs:
Diluc, Xing Qiu \ Ye Lan, Layla and a free slot (for example Bennett)
Ka Ming, Xing Qiu\Ye Lan, Laila and free slot

As far as Diluc melt teams go, for off field cryo while he’s plunging what about using ganyus burst while he’s plunging? Him, her, xianyun, and flex slot for last.
I finally got Diluc, I'm actually glad that I lost 50/50 because I really don't want Xianyun for a lot of reason. I think I'm gonna build him for a little bit and save my wishes for Murata :)

I do melt plunge with C6 Kaeya, C6 Bennett and Xianyun (I have no Furina) - this is a variation on melt team I've been using with him for nearly 2 years but now Xianyun replacing Kazuha. The rotation is shorter than typical vape as Kaeya's burst only lasts 8 secs against elites/bosses (but I'm used to it); it's a doddle to swirl pyro and I don't bother swirling cryo. I get around 220k plunge (I've overcapped on cr so he never misses crits). I can kill overworld ASIMON in 2 plunges despite me being a mobile player with mechanical skill issues. 😄🔥🔥🔥
Hey, So i manage to Pull Diluc a few weeks ago and built him to Level 80.
Im just a month old player so i am still having some trouble understanding all the builds and farming up.
I just reached AR45 and started going ham on Shimenawa Domain for my Xingqiu and other Supports.
I manage to trade the useless Artifacts for a decent Crimson Feather and Flower
( Flower stats = Att%, Flatt Att , Em and Critrate ) ( Feather Stats = Crit DMG , HP , Flatt Def and Def% ) so i get 2pc Pyro Buff.
As for the Circlet i managed to get lucky in getting Crit Dmg main stat on my Bloodstained iron mask, with not that great of a sub stat. It has HP, ER , Flatt Att and Hp%.
Now for my Sands and Goblet i have Att% main stat. Sands is Gladiator and Goblet is a wanderer.
I am wondering if i should go for the 2pc 18% Att buff from Gladiator / 25% Physical DMG buff from Bloodstained / 80 EM Wanderer.
As for the weapon im currently using the Prototype but im on my way to level up my Refinement 1 Serpentsphine.

Definitely gonna use Bennett...I activated his C6 and I have C2 Furina so the healing between him and CR is gonna be more than enough. I just got Xianyun today from a couple single pulls.
at first I was worried after losing to Diluc on Birb Lady banner, but then I remembered we're getting 3 extra wishes so I know I'll be able to reach pity again
I use raiden as support with skill, Charlotte skill as it applies cryo stuff, Diluc obviously, and adeptus woman as a F2P players this is nice I don't get good OP damage maybe around 14k but that's due to my poor luck on artifacts lol. Also to much damage fells off as finishing off enemies in one swoop kinds kills the vibe of fighting bosses. As I just started last October

😆 you just read my mind cause I lost my 50/50 to him when I was pulling for raiden (I got her too after), but I actually wanted diluc when I started playing genshin so I'm not that mad and I'll like to build him now!
Previously, Melt with Rosaria mainly worked due to Sucrose providing more cryo application, however Rosaria alone is definitely not enough to melt ALL Diluc plunges. And the other option which would be Kaeya also needed Kazuha's Burst to maintain enough cryo application.
i tried Rosaria and Kazuha. I read others who made it work, but I found maintaining cryo to be quite an hassle. Rosaria's aoe is small, and it doesnt last that long. So after a while my enemies go from cryo aura to pyro aura. I am curious whether Kaeya works better, he gets an additional orbital with one of his constellations i think
I'm curious if Ganyu burst or Layla burst work any better? I'm not a very technical player so I have no idea on the viability of either.
@@GruntSquad92 Rosaria you need c2 + Sucrose. Kaeya may be the most consistent one but even then melt is still quite a challenge to play.

I felt like shit getting C1 Diluc and benching him because I hated his gameplay and low damage multipliers. I just got Nahida but will be farming primos to get Xianyun so I can finally play Diluc and enjoy him
It's actually Cloud Retainer, Furina, Yelan, Bennet, etc. who make ANY character awesome. I'll betyou could slap Qiqi in there and make Qiqi physical plunge and there will still be large numbers.

They buff a sandard banner and the next day they release a new character that makes that buff obsolete, for instance Jean => Xianyun, Diluc => gaming, they still want to make standard banners somewhat playable but god forbid they become meta or BIS in any comp.

Instead of Furina, I use Yelan with Bennett so I can easily double swirl by just not triggering Yelan’s ult.
Hehe got Diluc and Xianyun after starting on this game.. pulled gaming to c1 and got xingqiu from lantern event. XD pretty strong team for a 1 month old account. Also got some more 4 stars but dont really have much of an idea how to build more teams yet.
I got him instead of nahida and it was truly sad for me bc I wouldn't mind losing to mona, qiqi, tiaghnari BECAUSE I DONT HAVE THEM BUT LOSING TO DILUC WAS SAD
