An army of Cobra Cars is the best counter to all of the knight's counters imo. An often forgotten unit.

How about the fourth reason to use a monk is to counter your opponent's conversions from their own monks by converting your knights back. This also makes a monk a counter to a counter.
Watching this video made me love the artstyle of this game even more. While playing it's fast paced and frantinc you can't see the details and appreciate what's going on.

I wonder if there could be a 5 tips / advanced guide to using stances. Both Attack/Defensive, but also formations and maybe even Attack Move vs Patrol? I've been told that to get a better surround on Crossbows, people use Stand Ground stance with Knights, but I don't know if that's a thing that's actually useful? I've struggled quite a bit to take good engagements with my cavalry units not because I'm going against counters, but simply that I'm not sure if I'm controlling my units well. Every time I watch someone else use them, they have much better pathing (maybe due to stances?), but mine collide and get stuck.
Ironically, the only time I've gotten a good / perfect surround was with Box formation and I guess I must've had the golden number of knights to get a perfect surround from all angels by running my knights through the archers and then Attack Moving.
First Tip at 2:58 : Unless you are Burgandians or Franks of course ;)

At least Franks' cav HP% bonus can be a Bloodlines substitute (less than satisfactory for light cav, but at least it's not 60 HP)

Hi, thank you for the video. Your latest videos are really amazing. For against camels should we consider scorp + knight ? Bec camel has low pierce armor and not a lot stronger than knights ?
-Also against pikes I guess if you did not make archery range in Feudal, scorp is better thanks to it has no upgrade costs.
-I believe you pikes do not counter knights but pikes + monks can.
-Could you make a video about tower rush tips ?

another monk tip: they actually tank pikeman really well. If you are vs full pikeman, put them in the front after a conversion
Would add Knight, monks, and scorpions is a good pairing too. Covers the counters to knights without having to invest in a range or pike usually.

I can relate so much to the "Add siege" tip. I was 800ish ELO at arena 1-2 weeks ago. After I started adding scorpions to my teuton cavalier army, I began winning games more frequently rising to 1000 ELO :D Normally I would lose against pure archer civs like ethiopians or cavalry archer civs because my teuton cavalry couldnt kill them. Yet, having even a few scorpions in my army, I got rid of enemy pikemen and the crossbow mass while my cavalry protecting the scorps. Great video, appreciating it.

I would add the suggestion of not rushing to imperial and instead all in or do economy, which is a typical mistake at low elos.
Would byzantine still go for cavalry units? They don't have bloodline but do have cheaper camels. Cataphracts are cavalry too
Monks + Cav is indeed like burger and fries, saving weak knights with micro is the chipotle ketchup on the side
There are some rumors that say the archers will nerfed in the next patch, can you make a video to know your opinion about that?

My elo went up a lot when I started going 2 stable knights in early castle. Getting the +1 armour and bloodlines on the way up. Just passed 1100 two days ago :D

converting with 10-20 monks - ctrl+click the monk portraits after binding a group of monks to a hotkey to de-select a calculated amount of monks that will remain in that bound hotkey, proceed to continue down the line for 1-10 and qwertyuiop for up to 20 individual monks - or place two per hotkey in either 1234567890 or qwertyuiop sections.
: now select all monks - started converting the nearest knight - followed by mass clicking, with precision practice, each hotkey to switch to different knights. you will get many conversions.
- if two per hotkey in a single section, simply hit qwertyuiop twice per hotkey and you'll have monks on a new target (provided you have that one research conducted) bonus if you surround the monks with at least 18ish infantry in square formation stand ground, regardless of what type, to delay any units that attempt the monks, or 13 if only 5 or so monks - feel free to experiment - I prefer 29 teutonic knights, 20 hand canons, 11 monks - square form, stand ground, though 29 paladins, 20 conqs, and 11 missionaries is cool too.
I prefer the attack upgrade for early feudal aggression
Yeah me too. I think what he meant is generally armor is better since your opponent will have defenses but if they only have the TC and melee units to defend Forging is better.

Camels I prefer to use crossbow or arbalest.
Few players actually know how to marshall and pay for all these counters at the right time.
Another thing I notice is that few players micro the knights to surround the archers. With today's terrible pathing, it's like Keystone cops - knights bumping into each other, preventing a knight from making a hit, other knights running completely around the other side.
Ohhhhhhh... I always forget about monks, skirms and siege, and just go more cav instead

Tbh i dont agree with adding monks with my knights as a counter to camels, what if your opponenent Just adds monks himself? I'm still going to lose right?

If you are playing knights and your opponent counter you with camels. What upgrades you need first? Attack or armor?
Armor doesn’t do anything against bonus damage, so attack. But you still won’t want to fight with lots of knights against lots of camel, so probably switch to another unit I guess

Wait, what happened to the farms ? They looks so symmetrical and tight. Even when you put 8 farms close to a mill, it could only be a pinwheel. It can’t be a perfect square. And the farms themselves are 2x2. Is that a farm mod ?
On arena i prefer attack upgrade first. It helps the scouts kill spears and monks faster.
Husbandry is a close 2nd but too expensive for early castle age.
In my 1k elo opinion.
2:25-Get 1 attack + 1 armor upgrade if against melee units
3:05-Don't go for cavalry w/o bloodlines
4:28-Pick your fights wisely and use mobility to run away and use it to also raid economy
6:00-Use monks to covert and heal cavalry
8:00-Add siege with knights to deal with crossbows and pikeman with attack ground
11:20-use skrims to deal with halbs when they get high mass of it
12:20-Light Cavalry for Monks
13:30-Use Pikes/Monks for camels
