I think growing up in South Africa during the apartheid era, has a lot to do with our mindsets (blacks)
We were made to believe that you are not worthy, and that some things you will never acquire
Thank goodness I know better now
Most blacks (Africa) are hardworking people trying to just make it in life, they can't think of travel when they are faced with how am I going to feed my children
But with content like yours, it can make people dream, and see there is better out there, and that things are quite affordable
Thank you for sharing your experiences, and for looking for experiences that can bring a change to people's lives
Your content is as such that even though people can't afford to go to these places physically yet, that they can at least go there in spirit(mind)
And who knows one day they'll end up visiting one of these amazing destinations which we travel with you via RUclips, physically
Thanks for planting positive seeds in our minds through your content
May you get to share more of the best, so we see what else is out there
    Stay blessed

Hi I actually attended the university and I live in the area. black people do go wine tasting a lot especially the students. Also remember that it is corona vibes out there. There are no students around and people are just getting back to work and earning salaries. Expect that place to be fully "colorized" as soon as things get back to normal. The vibe is also different. We don't go wine tasting every weekend because there are so many other things to do. And the wine is available everywhere at a cheap price, it's unnecessary to go wine tasting every time. Also, many people of colour stay in that area and feel it's unnecessary to go wine tasting when you can buy the wine and enjoy the same views without having to go to that particular farm Lol I hope I helped to explain

    • @nthabis.607
      @nthabis.607 4 года назад +3

Cape Town is enjoyable. We went and stayed for 7 days in December 2018 -- flew in from Johannesburg (where I'm from) and went to The House of J.C. Le Roux, another popular wine farm (vineyard) in Stellenbosch, but they make sparkling wines. Did some exploring; eating out; went to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens; spent an afternoon at the beach; went jet skiing; spent New Year's Eve at a 5FM gig and of course -- not forgetting Long Street. Have been there a few times.
I've enjoyed travelling around South Africa, Including Sun City (NW), Mpumalanga (Graskop, Kruger National Park, etc), Limpopo and Durban. Was supposed to spend my birthday in Moçambique in April, but alas, Covid-19 happened.
I've always enjoyed traveling, despite being black. I've always been willing to interact with different cultures, love exploring and am quite adventurous. Have been to the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, New Caledonia; Samoa.

South Africans do travel around their country during summer times. Needless to say, the reason you won’t see them around this time of year. But I don’t agree with anyone who’s saying we don’t travel. By the way, why our government deploy all traffic officers in the national roads during December and January.
So, we do have our own peak times of traveling just as any other country. Homework for you my brother to research on SA traveling & tourists department, since you brought up just to get the facts. Nonetheless, I adore your channel. Love and peace.

Our history has a lot to do with many native South Africans not travelling. The younger ppl are exploring the land more than their elders and I think in the future we will see more natives travelling. The reality of things is that people would always prioritize what is most glorified in their social cultures. Exploration isn’t promoted in Nigeria and this goes beyond physical exploration to exploring via Reading as well.

While you're exploring our country, we are exploring another country. Many South Africa love traveling overseas for leisure, even around to Africa. It's just that some don't show it much on social media. Many of us we've visited those wine farms before. What I've noticed locally, many of our South Africans travel mostly to the warmer east coast, Durban or Mozambique. Unlike the cooler West Coast. But many of us have been and still do go regularly to. Cape Town. But very few visit the Wine Farms..

This is so encouraging coz most of us we were not exposed to traveling and all that, so guys you so much for these kinds of contants🔥💯🇿🇦
This actually broadens our capacity to see beyond what we see and used to, I also love traveling but sometimes we don't have means to do so, I still have a dream of traveling the Continent. I think Africa is amazing.
When you get a chance please come to the Eastern Cape Province 🇿🇦🔥💯 I'd be honored to be your tour guide 😀💃

well I guess it all has to do with curiosity and upbringing. If from childhood you were exposed to images and stories of other places you may develop a curious mind and a hunger to see those places. And if mobility has always accompanied you it makes it a lot easier for you to go else where e.g going to boarding school in a different state than the one your parents live in, growing up in a different state than were you are from and having the festive season traveling as an essential part of your childhood memories. I love SA went in 2004 cant wait to good back.

Honestly bro, it's not that We, as Black people, don't like travelling or exploring but rather that the vast majority of us are often financially not able to experience such luxuries in life, even if they are relatively cheap to tourists who regularly visit the country. In my experience, most people of colour cannot afford to leave their birthplaces and tour the many amazing attractions that the country or even the continent has, people are still out here trying to fight poverty dude. Really think the channel and your content is dope man! Thank you so much for the exposure, I wish many more Africans could experience what Africa has to offer...
