I love how when you write and you realized that this is not your plan for your characters, because the plot is controlling them not you as an author. It's like they're real person and not just a character that you're controlling
Isn’t it funny how much the characters control writers? We think we have total control as we write what happens, dialogue, the locations and yet when it comes to the characters, they do what they want. We are literally their gods and can control them but they still do things despite us. I’m working on a slice of life series and the MC has gone in a whole different direction than what was intended. I’ve had to change plots to cater to him.
oh 100%! ive changed my entire novel bc of the way the characters behaved, and i cant believe the story i ended up with and how far it is from where i started, but i wouldnt change it for the world.
I’m pretty confident about my main character! However he’s really down to earth and straight to the point. I on the other hand write very detailed and poetic and i don’t know how to write my book bc it’s not how he would ever talk!!😬😂 i don’t want to waste my writing style and it’s hard for me to write very simple. Do you maby have any advice hehe?🥲✨

You could add another character that speaks like this. Or you could make the narrator someone else. 🤷♂️
