Shooting projectiles into the backseat when you can't see who is in there is very irresponsible. What if a young child or infant was in there and got hit in the head with a projectile? The projectiles were definitely overkill in this situation. They could have just approached the car with the shields and gotten this over with way more quickly without injury.

We’re already nearby, so we followed the chase location to where the pit maneuver happened, and caught a view of the takedown from the hill above. Insane.

This thing shows the absolute necessity for police departments to have trained mental health personnel on staff so they can deal with these kinds of issues. She's only a threat to herself. You could see up until they put l her in the police car that she was resisting. She obviously had issues or she wouldn't have run in the first place when they went to check on her. Just the way she was clinging to that pillow at the end said a ton about her mental state... this genuinely broke my heart for her. I hope she gets help and not punishment that’ll just make things even worse.

They had to hold on to her to make sure she didn't run as she was exiting the car and getting on the ground. They could have let the K8 "help" her get out of the car but they chose not to due to being more of a mental health crisis. Not all Cops are bad!!

You could see up until they put l her in the police car that she was resisting. She obviously had issues or she wouldn't have run in the first place when they went to check on her. But it seemed like they handled her the best they could, using a policewoman to search her relatively gently at the police car before putting her in it. I admire the way they handled her.
You thought they used violence??? Have you ever watched another car chase ? This was the least violent car chase I've ever seen. It was also the slowest. The police handled her quite gently and resolved it very quickly after the car stopped. It normally doesn't happen that way. Many times the dogs or tasers are used.
They really need all those cops to restrain one girl thats not a threat to them

Well in this case they will not for good reason: All of this started due to a Welfare Check gone wrong because the police was informed of her mental state by her family/friends who were worried for her life on the road
