    I sold a 76 Ramada a couple of years ago. My wife and I put in all new windows, replaced flooring , all new electrical and plumbing along with decor upgrades. We were apart of an Apache FB group and hosted an Apache Round up on Lake Texoma in Texas. Apache's a very unique and we use to turn a lot heads when we would take it camping.

    Your wife did an awesome job on cleaning! When do you plan to drop the boxes and clean the gears? Be sure to read about it first. Looking forward to seeing that, as I have to do it, too. I've read that it should be done every year..... blech! ;)

    • @BadLuckGarage
      @BadLuckGarage  7 лет назад

      Yes she did! She scrubbed on it all day! Still have to clean the hard walls and seals but we'll be replacing the panels in the bed areas and painting them. As far as the boxes, they seem to be operating smoothly so I hadn't planned on cleaning them immediately but was going to save that as a winter project. Wifey is already planning a camping trip with some friends(including my channel partner john and his wife) so Im having to prioritize to get things done that are an absolute must first. That being said, the boxes dont seem like they would be too difficult to disassemble and clean so I may be able to fit that in as an after work project if this wet weather would move out. ;)

    Great video I’m looking at one listed for 500 ... looks like there’s a lot of things that could go wrong with crank system and water seals any advice on things to look out for

    hello just watched ur video, in how to take down the apache. I huffy purchased an Apache and dont know how to set it up. Do u have a video?

    • @BadLuckGarage
      @BadLuckGarage  7 лет назад

      unfortunately no I dont have one. I will most likely be making one when we go camping this weekend but Im guessing that wont be soon enough for you. its pretty much oppisite of the takedown. just be such not to lower the roof onto the walls until after sliding the bed end sides into place. Its a common mistake that can tear the bed end side seals as well as keep the bed end sides from siding fully into place. Here is a good set up video I just found for you.

      Brother it’s been so long since I had this thing that I’m not even sure what you’re talking about. But I never had any issues with any latches hanging or anything.

      They’re neat little campers. Unfortunately with no many repair parts being available for them anymore they’re a money pit now days and that’s why we sold ours. We only used it for one weekend after doing all the repairs shown in the videos and while taking it down one of the gear boxes shattered. Didn’t want to put anymore money in it so we sold it for what we had in it rather than take a loss on it later.

      It’s really not a big deal at all…… until the train breaks or the gears crumble which is a common problem on those things.
