    Mad skills around those hairpins and tight cliffside trails. I think you’d do well in a multistage enduro like the Hellas Rally in Greece. Very similar conditions and geo features to the trails you ride. American representation in these European enduros is greatly needed.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 года назад

      They are awesome shocks but take some getting used to. So smooth it really is like floating on air. One thing is you have to keep your air pump handy because they will go up and down on pressure with the weather. So you need to check you pressure before you ride it.

    Hi, great videos, congrats! Your bike are becoming awesome, very funny to ride it! I want to ask you a few questions. Can you share with me why you decided to go to fox shocks and not elka shocks or why not a Joacaba rebuild of the 700r suspension? and why you go for the +2 alba A-arms and not for the adjustable A-arms and a longer travel shocks? All this questions is to help me decide wich road take in my own build. Im planning to buy A-Arms and suspension, (I have the 700R with adjustable shocks). Your feedback will be very much appreciated! thank you!

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  5 лет назад +1

      I have always wanted to try Fox shocks, I have heard a lot of good things about them. I liked the idea of being able to adjust them myself without swapping springs. They are incredibly nice riding shocks, they really are like riding on air. I can't wait to upgrade the rear to a fox shock. The front shocks on that came on my Raptor are not the reservoir shocks like the 700R or 700R SE models come equipped with. Mine came with very poor front shocks, the non adjustable kind, that would not be worth sending in to Jogaca. I did have Jogaca rebuild my shocks for my Banshee though which are YFZ450 shocks. I have had the Alba long travel arms and they are nice but I like the design of the standard travels more. You can reuse the dust caps, there are zirc grease fittings and I think the tubing is a thicker material on the standard travel arms. The standard travel arms and shocks were also cheaper and within my budget. If you can afford them I would definitely recommend the Fox air shocks. I'm considering converting all my other quads over to Fox now.

    • @yxiscatti
      @yxiscatti 5 лет назад +1

      @@trailblogger thank you very much for your answer! Did you ever tried elka shocks? if you could give it a score for each shock, standard raptor 700 (no reservoir), yfz450 rebuild by joagaca, 700r reservoir shocks and fox, how it be? thank you!

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  5 лет назад +1

      @@yxiscatti I have test rode a Banshee with Elkas and it rode great but it was only a short test ride, no trail rides. the no reservoir shocks are terrible, I would rate those right about 1 on the scale of 1-10. The rebuilt shocks are great but I have not rode those on the trail yet either. I will know soon though and do a thorough review when I have tested them both better.

    • @yxiscatti
      @yxiscatti 5 лет назад +1

      @@trailblogger thank you for tour feedback, I will be waiting for your comparison review about diferent shocks. I think it will be a very useful for countless people to help them to decide wich is best for them. Thank you again! Bye the way, can those fox shocks be regulated with less air in them to make the bike lower to have a lower center of gravity to take a ride on road or on streets? Do you understand what I mean? Thank you!

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 года назад

      They are a lot of fun but being so wide has its disadvantages. It's harder to pick a line almost 4 ft wide through the woods than a 2 ft wide trail. That being said they are a ton of fun to ride. I didn't buy mine to compete, just enjoy riding in the woods.
