    The most effective method is often the least complicated and convoluted, excellent tutorial and explanation.

    Hi Danielle- after the painting dried, did you wet the canvas before applying the glazing medium? Or was that a thin layer of glaze before you added the blue tinted glaze? Thank you!

    Love this Danielle .. thank you. I've been looking for some guidance on painting a black horse. The hair isn't as evident but the darks, mediums, and lights seem similar. I'm assuming this technique will work the same as acrylics? Except for the drying time ...

      Hi! Yes this tutorial will definitely work for acrylics! When I worked with acrylics I used slow-drying mediums to increase the drying time which allows for more blending

    Hello, we recently started making concrete statuary and have a 2 1/2 ft tall german shepherd dog and the person wants it to be painted all black dog and we’ve tried many different kinds of ways to do it but cant seem to get it. When painting on a statue would you recommend painting it the same way you would on a canvas and using this method as well?

      I don’t have too much specific advice for you since I don’t have experience with it, but I’d highly recommend searching RUclips for tutorials on how to paint fur on miniatures! There is a pretty big industry around it and lots have fur, so I’m sure you can find some great info. In theory if it applies to minis, the same technique should apply to larger statues too. Good luck! 😊

    What tape is best to keep the paper on canvas?

  • @carleyanneart8068
    @carleyanneart8068 4 года назад

    Hi, can I ask what sticky tape you use that doesn't destroy the paper? Thank you!

    • @DanielleTrudeauStudios
      @DanielleTrudeauStudios  4 года назад +1

      Hey there! Its a type of painters tape - its actually designed for painting walls. Its not quite as sticky as normal tape, and seals against moisture. But if you're ever having troubles with the tape ruining the paper, heat up the tape with a hair dryer before peeling it up, and it'll come up with no issues :)
