Almost half a million dead russian men and now their factories and infrastructure are in flames. Russia is deteriorating from the brain drain of their best and brightest. The guys that maintain the service sector of heating and engineering have been shipped off to the frontlines, farmers from the outlying rural areas are long dead, leaving their wives and old people to the dying farms and rural villages in russia lie abandoned. Russia is a Potemkin country like the USSR was.

The recruits turned back to St. Petersburg because Russia surrendered to Germany and had no reason to fight anymore against the Germans. They were however still full of anger and thus it turned against the Tsar.
This is why it is of the utmost importance to give Ukraine everything it needs to get Crimea back. It would render the whole war obsolete and totally useless for the normal Russian people. The anger build up out of that would probably result in a revolution again.
We should stop dilly dabbling with the Ukrainians and stop trying to play General for them and finally give them what they need. Not just for Ukraine's sake, but also for us Europeans and ultimately for the US, Canada and Australia who always have to jump in and sacrifice their citizens on our behalf.

7:31 "we have to impose secondary sanctions": The effects of secondary sanctions are beginning to work their way through the Russian economy. Since the beginning of 2024, banks in Turkey have severed nearly all financial ties with Russia. The UAE (which recently joined the BRICS) has similarly begun exiting the Russian market. Cyprus, once a safe haven for the Russian ultra-rich, announced it would begin partnering with financial crimes specialists from the U.S. FBI to root out sanctions evasion.

@@christianevanherck6023 In the meantime, independent observers confirm that Ukraine is 'retreating' all along the frontline: From Newsweek 15/3 - Headline: "Battle Maps Reveal Russian Advances Along Whole Front Line". "Russian forces will continue their ongoing offensives to hurt Ukraine's defenses ahead of a renewed push planned for summer, according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The independent Washington, D.C.-based think tank said Friday that Russia's troops are trying "to maintain the tempo" of operations in Ukraine's east. This is to stop Kyiv's forces from stabilizing their defensive lines, which analysts have said is not happening quickly enough."
Following Russia's capture of Avdiivka, in the Donetsk oblast last month, one ISW map shows how Russia forces had this week captured the town Nevelske and advanced in Pervomaiske to the southwest, and Berdychi to the northwest. Another map of the Luhansk oblast showed Russian advances on Synkivka, north of Bakhmut." end quote.
