To clarify the matter surrounding the cover art, the 1999 EMI/Virgin CD still had the full-color Ryko CD cover; the 2007 Japan-only mini LP reissue was the first CD release since the original RCA CD to feature the original 1976 cover art, and that standard has been kept to this day. The only times the 1990 cover art has made a reappearance since 2007 was as the cover art for the Who Can I Be Now box's copy of the 2010 remix and as the inner tray art on the standalone 2017 CD.
Paul's voice is sooooo relaxing. Best asmr ever!
I’ve start watching because of his ASMR voice. I’ve actually been enjoying to learn so detailed description about a lot of this records.
What the hell does ASMR even mean?
@@weirdman5215 Google it. Relaxing sounds/moods.
Most if not all of the Track from Station Box are also on Who Can I Be Now? Box. It also has the 1976 and 2010 mixes.
Great video, Paul! Keep these 'look-back" videos coming!
Thanks. I missed this when it came out and I've looked into it. What I was most interested in is the surround sound and I've heard mixed reviews, actually not mixed reviews but mostly negative, so I won't bother. I do wish Bowie had more surround sound discs out there. Id love to see more artist copy the way Nick Cave and XTC have released their albums on cd and surround sound at a bargain price.
I like how you're revisiting some of these SDE sets Paul, keep up the great work.
Love that box set!
Thanks Paul... very interesting!
You did well if you picked that up for 60 quid. I'm sure it hit the market well over 100 quid. I liked the Harry Maslin 2010 mixes though it was disconcerting to hear Bowie's voice for the album quite so up front and present and a lot of the analogue mush of Golden Years quite so cleaned up and sterile.
I paid €86 on amazon back then. Good times.
The replica ticket has the box number
Great video Paul! I hate to be pedantic but I think you pronounce Nassau as Nass-aww rather than Nass-ooo. I know... I know... Any chance of them Tear for Fears boxset getting another release?
I always pronounced it nass ow. The world may never know
Do you keep all your box sets oor sell em on
You mention no writing on side of the bix. You miss the point. Its supposed to be sparse.
