I've got a customer with a 2015 chevy 3500 high country, he tows a 53 ft horse trailer all over the country and the truck has 641k miles. We change the oil every 5k miles, and fuel filters every 10k miles. We changed the the transmission fluid and filters when they have 450k miles on them (way over due but this was when I took over maintaining the truck) the fluid still looked brand new, the filters looked great and the magnet in the pan had almost nothing on it. The only issue this truck has is a mysterious coolant loss, but an oil analysis shows its not an internal issue, its a slight external leak that only happens at certain engine Temps. This truck will get to 1 million miles without a doubt
That's awesome, hope i get a million out of mine
Oil cooler
Mine had a leak like that looked on passanger side bottom of egr line had a slight leak
We’ve got that same damn leak…. so far it hasn’t killed us… dealer thinks they fixed it but it’s still trickling out.
That’s surely because it’s used for what it was made for everyday. Sitting is the worst thing for anything.
Great video! I'm a first-time diesel owner. 2018 L5P in 3500HD. Bought it to tow my 12k pound, 39 foot, 5th wheel camper. I learned a lot from your video, took some notes, and will refer to your other videos as I accumulate milage (88k so far). Thanks again!
This is what RUclips was meant for, helpful informative videos. Thank you sir
Thank you!
Great video and lots of useful info. I purchased my 2019 gmc 2500hd denali 6.6 duramax. I have 94k miles on it and i have had 2 issues.
1. from new they routed my shift cable incorrect easy fix.
2. At about 50k the clutch for the radiator fan went out not covered under warrenty.
Other then that everything else has worked exceptionally well.
Great content! Thank you for taking your time and putting this information out to the masses. Your knowledge and experience shows, and I appreciate it!
Thank you, that means a lot
I watch the full 50+ minutes of this video and I want to thank you it was very informative everything I needed to know to purchase my next HD truck
Keep the reviews coming as you go up on the miles! L5p is hopefully my next truck.
Thank you! Mines been a trooper
Great feedback bud! Thank you for your time.
Thank you!
Man thank you so much for your knowledge. Best RVTranspot info on you tube in my opinion
Thank you, that means a lot!
Thank you so much just did #5 injector connecter and watched your video...... Helped me so much
I'm glad it helped. Hopefully you're good to go for many miles now. Thank you for your comment!
I bought a brand new Denali dually 3500 HD and it has been nothing but a problem. In and out of the shop since day one.. the L5P is something to stay away from.. Last week my injector went bad, Now they are saying I need an entire injector harness for $1900. But after watching these videos I am thinking injector connectors.. maybe the dealership is just trying to get over on me.
The dealers will always swear its the injector and say they need to replace the connector while there in there. The connectors I've replaced... I've been told at dealers that you caint just buy the connector....until i give them the part numberfor it. Sorry to hear you've had so many issues but sounds to me like the dealers taking advantage.
Excellent video. I just started RV transport. I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD long bed. Very similar pickup to yours. It is good to hear the good review on the Chevy. I probably will need to do something with the 7 prong connecter in the bed. It is too close to the toolbox. Excellent information. Thanks again for all the good information. Hope to see you on the road sometime.
Thank you, i hope you have great luck and enjoy it. I'm sure I'll see you somewhere out here one day
I just bought a 2017 Chevrolet 2500 Duramax truck with only 70,000 miles on. It was a one owner truck. I’ve been happy with it so far. Thanks for all the maintenance information you gave us. It’s a High Country. I’ve never had a vehicle with Bluetooth or touchscreen. I’ve always had basic vehicles. How have your electronics held up. Could you do a video about how the electronics have held up. 👍
MY WORK HAS ABOUT 40 DURAMAX TRUCKS..2016+..TO BE HONEST MINUS ONE OF THOSE TRUCKS, THEYVE ALL BEEN DEAD ASS RELIABLE..SHOCKINGLY RELIABLE CONSIDERING THEY SPEND THERE LIVES TOWING EXCAVATORS ETC OR SETUP AS PLOW TRUCKS..IF I WERE TO BUY ANOTHER DIESEL ID GO WITH A DURAMAX AS LONG AS THE PUMP IS A DENSO LOL..
That's awesome! Thank you for the comment
Love my lml, coolant loss stopped with egr blocked off, exhaust removed and epc fooler for trans. Truck is amazing now.
Neighbors l5p is amazing but always has cel on. Never has stalled though!
Fantastic video. Subscribed, and looking forward to wating more.
Good video. I have just over 100,000 miles on my current lp5. No issues at all. I have run nothing but blue dif in it. I have had 5 diesel trucks and have always run blue dif. My thoughts are it is less likely to get contaminates in the dif tank. I worry about the nozzle on the in ground tanks introducing dirt to the tank. But like you I do what works for me. Very informative on what to expect. Thank you sir.
Thank you, i used to worry about it but don't think much about it anymore. If i caint get it from a high volume truck stop blue def is my second go to.
You are a very smart man & I can't figure out why you haven't figured out the solution to the filling up the DEF tank. I have a 2019 & I bought a 2 gallon pump up sprayer cut the end off of the wand got a rubber hose to slide over the end put the other end off the hose into the filler tube to the DEF tank pump it up press the trigger & fill my tank, no mess, no corrosion, took about 10 minutes to put on the 2 gallons. I know in not a smart as you. Try it you might like it, will trade the time to not have the mess.
I look forward to all your videos keep them coming
Thank you, i appriciate that I'll have to check that out sometime. Sounds like it would work pretty good. I think it's just so convenient at the pump i just have to clean up the mess.
Great job, I took lots of notes. Much to look forward with my L5P ….
Thank you!
thanks for actually having notes and a good structure to your info. simple but efficient! good video
Thank you!
Good video, I’m in cold Minnesota. Super cold winter temps. 145k on my 17 2500HD. So far, #7 injector connector, def heater, #1 NOX sensor. Typically towing 4K-15k took it to Nashville, Spokane WA, North Dakota, Canada border, Nebraska. Solid truck
Great video as I just purchased a 2024 L5P midnight edition…..one thing that scared me was the talk of banks and Dave’s auto where another duramax as stated where the crankshaft pins sheared causing engine failure …total….. it was not mentioned why or perhaps modified or maxed out HP.
Thanks for the info....That truck looks GREAT for 300K
Thank you, i appreciate it
Sir, you did a wonderful job…..im thinking about buying a 2019 with 100,00 miles and i was worried about buying a diseal….thank you…some people in ytube dont give very good reviews or maybe they dont do their services…..
Thank you, i have a hard time not picking apart anything i spend my $$ on and if i love it i still try to tell the bad and if i hate it i try to give credit where it deserves. Even though i usually don't get really technical i still try to show what I'd want to see myself
Can you please provide a source or link for the wig-wag light kit and high beam switch function for emergency lighting? Thank you! ❤
Glad to see a good review on the dmax. I have a 22 dmax crew cab long bed on its way to go into rv transport. Between you and mr.tennessee... so much optional stuff I want.
We didn't get it all at once. We just pick up stuff as we need it. I hope it does you a great job
@@CFarmer i definitely won't be getting it all at once either but luckily I can get the more necessary stuff rite away. Ie 109 gal tank, im wondering if the new 10 speed will be better mpg or not compared to your truck.
I've heard the 10 speed is nice
@@CFarmer hopefully they are, ill be finding out soon. Lol
That’s a good looking truck. The last good looking model year before they changed to the funny and weird looking design the Silverado has today.
Thank you, learned some things to be watching for with my 2020 which is approaching 200k
Love mine.03 federal emissions standard lb7. Great truck
Sir you are doing the Lords work
Thank you
Outstanding video with an excellent review of your truck! You inspire me to keep really good notes on my vehicles now. I guess you did this video before you encountered the airbag malfunction. I hope you tell us how that was resolved one day. God bless & safe travels
Thank you, I'm still working on air bag issue. Looks like I'll have to buy a controller but having trouble finding just the controller. Thank you for your comment.
@@CFarmer There used to be a company called module masters. They repair vehicle electrical modules. I haven’t used them in several years but they repaired the power break module on my sons VW Passat. A new one was almost 2k, and they repaired it for $75 and warrantied the repair for 5 years. He sold it about 7 years later and it was still working great. We removed and shipped the module and had it back in about 7 days. They might be worth a call.
That would be awesome! I'll look for them
You mentioned fuel economy changed after purchase, i noticed when i purchased michlin defenders and noticed quite a gain.
Hoping my 2021 GMC 2500HD L5P holds up like this one!
I hope so too
I’m glad I found this video, im debating on buying a L5P for hotshot and it seems like it’ll work in my favor if I do.
I know there are good ones and bad in all of the trucks but i definitely got a good one
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to go over all the information. Good stuff. Just curios what engine oil ya use.. Looking to update my old cummins farm truck to a low mile used L5P. Thanks for your time.
Thank you, I've always used Rotella T4 15-40 with 2 quarts of lucas oil stabilizer and oem filters
Excellent record keeping and thanks for sharing.
Thank you and thanks for your comment!
At 24:01, I see that you have the low coolant level. I have a 19 and the dealer replaced the coolant tank and it fixed the issue.
It did, i replaced mine a while after this video and no more issues. That seems to be a common issue on these trucks. Thank you for your comment
His DPF lasts mostly because he runs the road at speed constantly which allows full Regeneration cycles. Plus under load so he's got plenty temperature burning of what can be, all throughout the engine. Idling and especially constant short trips are DPF killers.
4:06 I always check the work especially when its done by the dealer.
No doubt
This is what I'm talking about. All these channels talk about reliability but have less than 10k miles on the truck. Doesn't even scratch the surface of it.
Thank you, it's at 447k miles today and i have a leaking exaust manifold gasket I'm working on. Overall for the miles and abuse i have no complaints about the truck. At the pace I'm going ill be doing a 500k review video in a few months. I'll tell all repairs that I've done since the 300k review video. Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment!
You are always knowledgeable and great content
Thank you, are you on the road tonight?
Great video, thank you!
Thank you!
OUTSTANDING. Good truck...
Thank you!
thank you for all the information!
Thank you have one coming
Great video!! You and Mr. Tennessee do a fabulous job. Would love to make a trip or two with you guys.
Thank you! We'll be leaving for California in the morning
@@CFarmer maybe next trip. Im just coming out of upstate NY on my way home. Been out for about 13 days and the boss wants to see me..lol
Gotcha, well be safe out there and enjoy your home time
You keep excellent records on that truck... Great video.
Thank you
Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! I watched the whole thing. Im looking at two 2017 3500 crew duallys 4x4s one with 141,000 the other with191,000. Both with nice CM flatbeds. They are being sold on an online auction which has videos of them running & driving. The service has been done by the const company since they were new. What if any are your thoughts? Thanks ahead of time! PS I will be using the truck to tow a 17500 3 axle toy hauler
Great informative video. 45k on my 18 know. BTW looks like you have a parking light out on the driver side upper
Thank you! I did, i fixed it later that night. They didn't make it easy either, lol
@@CFarmer no, not like the old trucks where you can have every bulb changed in 2 minutes
Awesome informative video! Thanks very much, we got a 2019 (converted to right hand drive) in New Zealand for towing purposes, love the truck. Have you ever considered a "Banks Derringer" unit to monitor / control your trucks systems? We've looked hard at them but don't do the miles you do.
Thanks again for the informative video
Cheers
Thank you for the awesome comment. I did look at the i dash before i bought the cts3 but i liked the layout of the cts3 better. With the miles i have on the truck I'm afraid if i change much it'll cause issues but i have heard good things about the derringer. I would be more likely to try it if the truck had less miles
@@CFarmer Thanks for the reply! I'm pretty much at two minds about making changes to the truck, we're not big mileage users and for what we're doing I love the power and fuel use ($5:42 USD per gallon) in NZ, but it gets the job done. We tow a double horse trailer and a 20 foot off-road caravan. But I reckon the derringer / iDash could be the business for us.
Happy trails
I'm curious how you like it if you decide to get the derringer . Let me know if you would
Great video. What was you doing in the mud off the road 😂 you have had some good luck out of that truck. It has been a good one. Maybe she will go another 300,000 with no problems
See, a friend said it was ok to do that.... it wasn't ok Mr. Tennessee, 🤣 🤣 🤣
@@CFarmer 😂 😂 😂. It was ok when you was running with a Ram 😂
O, ok, lol
I run Transynd in the Allison and I run Stanadyne fuel system additive for lubrication.
I wish i had started with transynd fluid but i hate to change with so many miles on the truck. When i was researching additives stanadyne and one other i caint remember the name of came out better than hotshot secrets but i had a hard time finding it on the road so i went with hotshot secrets because it was easier for me to get. Good stuff though
Oil I use Royal Purple Duralec Ultra 15W-40 and I installed a PPE aluminum oil pan.
It's time for mine to get a oil pan gasket so I've been thinking about the ppe pan
Great video. Wondering how you did the strobe lights?
It's a feature of the autosync
Fantastic video!!! Thanks! If you don't mind can you tell me what oil you use?
I highly recommend Primrose 5007 fuel additive
I’m a roofer contractor so I have a 17 GMC Denali 2500 and have 150k on it bought it new in San Antonio at Cavender GMC currently some of the stuff you mentioned I’ve had. Also the pitman arm is an issue replaced with a moog so far it’s better than GM’s version. Suspension issues front end these things wear the lower ball joints if you live in a pot hole heavy city. Also that dash rattle GM needs to address coming from the heater lines they say zip tie them they are insane. Overall it’s a good truck so recommend leveling these but not lifting them if your going to Tow. I’ll heed your advice on the transmission cooler protection. I’m about to do the first transmission fluid change. Thing I hate is that if the check engine light comes on there’s no more auto start until you clear it!
Good looking truck, i haven't had any issues out of the pitman arm yet but with the miles i know it's about to be one thing after another
@@CFarmer yes pitman could be pot hole related I live in Houston and let me tell you it’s pot hole heaven don’t know if you’ve been but I can assume if I was driving long distances like yourself those issues might not be.
I think that's the majority of reason I've had such good luck is mostly interstate driving
Cts3 has a bar now that mounts to your grab bar. I have it in my 18 gmc duramax
If this truck was Fully deleted you wouldn’t have the egr in the way when doing inj. connectors-also. do all inj. connectors @ 1 time not randomly on the side of the road -now back to being fully deleted ,it also would have cut your repairs in half I’m sure & the truck would be tuned so you would be getting a few more miles per gallon 👍🏼
What’s suspension upgrades have you done? I noticed that truck does not squat much with a gooseneck or a fifth wheel hooked to it
Thank you for the Video ,
You just inspired me to buy a Ford Truck.
Your welcome, good luck with the new truck
@@CFarmer Luck is not a factor, its more of how a Truck is designed and built. That will dictate for the most part how much time and money a truck will require to repair and maintain.
Okay, enjoy your new truck, lol... at 300k miles send me the link to your review video. Don't forget the disaster kit for the CP4 . Enjoy the new truck sir. Thank you for watching
@Hector Ortega Luck is not a factor😆😆 Go ahead and get that Ford, you're gonna learn real soon.
Super informative!
Thank you!
I enjoyed it! Keep it very helpful thank you!
Thank you!
Fleece and Deviant offers very good transmission lines which are far superior to stock.
Thank you, I'll have to check them out
Thanks for the video man
Thank you for your comment
Just rolled over 230k today. I had to do all 8 injectors and a couple of injector connectors in 2020 around 170k. I’ve got a code for a NOx sensor. So I’ve got that one coming very soon. I love mine overall. I’ve hauled a lot of boats, Mastercraft, Moomba, Supra, Sea Ray, Aviara (demo on gooseneck trailer), Malibu, Axis…and then hotshot with a 40’ gooseneck, loaded down with about 32k gcwr max (almost sucked the air filter through the intake). I’ve had mine since new, and I had the metal shavings in the fuel filter (injectors). It’s pretty strong still to have as many miles as it does. I may have a rear main going out.
Sounds like you work yours pretty hard too. I love mine too. Wouldn't trade it for a brand new one. I hit 400k last night :)
I thought my rear main was leaking turned out to be the oil cooler. That was at 20k miles. Oil runs down the bell housing if that’s bad.
O dang, I've been looking at changing the oil cooler on mine to a upgraded one but i would've never expected a leak from there
I have a NOx sensor error right now, I would like to know what the fix was? And the metal shavings, did you end up replacing the entire fuel system and the fuel pump?
I replaced the position 1 nox sensor first then around a year later i had a code for the position 2 and replaced it.i would have to go back and watch the video, not remembering metal shavings in my Duramax but there was in my buddies dodge. We replaced the in tank pump on it. My fuel system is completley stock with no issues on the l5P
Thank you for the info sir. !!!!!
Thank you for your comment sir. I appreciate it
I got one for the CTS3. Part number: 28600.
Cool, I'll look it up
Excellent videos - really enjoy watching/learning, With the non-slider Companion hitch what settings are you using for the pivot arm placement? Elevation/offset. Thanks!
Thank you! It's been a while since i put it together. I would have to go back and look. I will but it may take me a while. I started all the way back and all the way up but I'm thinking i moved it back down a hole
@@CFarmer I am currently at 7" behind the post with the post (furthest back) in the highest position. This locates the pin 1" behind the axel. I do have Timbrens installed on the 2015 GMC 2500HD LML Std. bed. Pin weight 2,900. Hoping to learn from your experience from moving the pivot arms. Thanks!
Thanks for great info. Very helpful. Sam C.
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad it helped
Thanks so much. I have less than 100k and I've noticed it has started to run rough while it was warming up in cold weather. Sometimes the truck is running in place for 20 minutes. I live in rural Maine and use the hot shot additive ....and I use the same fuel stations like you suggested. Would one of those injection connections be acting up so soon
Thank you! From what I've seen, the injector connectors will usually have a pretty aggressive intermittent miss before going out that I've usually noticed while driving. It could be but I'm thinking it may be something different. If i ever feel the miss from a connector it's only a few days later I get a bad mis and a code. I wish i could be more help
@@CFarmer thank you very much…i appreicate you trying to help me out especially around xmas,,,,,ill go have it checked out on monday….god bless enjoy the holiday. I hope you are taking it easy..
Great information! I currently do hotshot with a 2020 3500 SRW High Country (didn't buy it for this reason, but it just happened that way) truck has almost 96,000 miles on it now.
How often do you do differential fluid and transfer case fluid changes? How many transmission fluid and filter changes have you done? Have you done a coolant flush?
Thank you! I dropped the ball on coolant flush and haven't done one yet but i try to do internal transmission filter, both differentials and transfer case close to every 100k miles. I've changed them 3 times coming up on 4 and will be changing coolant this time too
@@CFarmer Awesome! Appreciate the feedback!
Anytime
I got 400000 miles on 2019 3500 damn injectors have been replaced truck has left me on side of the road about 4 times goes in to limp mode a lot
@Javier Ramirez I've replaced the injectors for cylinders 1, 3, and 5 so far. When 5 went out, I thought it was the damn pcm or something. Lost a lot of power, and was getting messages for the exhaust system
had any issues with the entertainment screen? Mine constantly changing stations and inputs by itself. It can be areal headache.
I haven't myself but i know other people that have. I don't know about the fix
Could you please do a video on greasing the upper tie rod ends, I’m going to try again tomorrow but haven’t been able to get my grease gun on it. Was going to buy a 90 degree grease gun adapter but if I don’t have to that would be great. Thank for all the great info
I will, I'm in Florida now so it'll be a couple of days when i get home. If you can get someone to tien the wheels slowly while you watch the grease fittings it would help you find the right spot
@@CFarmer thanks, I appreciate it. And thanks for the tip I’ll give it a try.
I use a flexible end I bought at Napa to hit all the grease fittings on our GM trucks
I bought the 90 degree and it worked but then i saw i could do it with a straight if i had the wheels slightly turned. A flexable end would be nice
I have a 2018 l5p, how do I go about getting started in Rv transport?
Look at the different companies websites and see what their requirements are and call the recruiting departments and ask as many questions as you can then when you think you found a company that will be a good fit apply and it goes from there. Some companies are- Indiana transport, jimbo and co,synergy, wave, horizon and star fleet there are more but that's a few off the top of my head. Google them and see which company seems like the best fit. each company will have different requirements
Solid info
Thank you!
i ordered a 2022 3500 HD LTZ 4x4 srw 4 weeks ago. Hasnt been accepted by GM yet. I didnt see the part number for the flashing lights. Anyway you can post it on here?
The mirror lights mod is from boost autoparts and the factory strobes are part of the autosync programming. Wasent sure which you were referring to?
great vid wish i had your knowledge on these trucks. i do have a question or looking for advice. Mine is a company truck that i pull my 41 ft fifthwheel to alot of nascar from ontario canada. would you think it would be a good idea to have all 8 injector connections as you call them changed. My only issue which i just had was nox sensor last trip and a glow plug which they have changed 8 of them so far.
Thank you! I think it's a good idea to change all 8 especially if you have any reason to have them exposed anyways. So far I've not had any I've replaced fail like the originals
Great video’s
Thank you!
👍
Would you recommend this engine and truck as a daily driver? i want to buy one that has 149K on it.
My 19 ate #7 injector and connector at 170k, we tow heavy at altitude.
Ouch, hope that's it for a long time for you
@@CFarmer She idles a lot, so we did all 8. oh that was a fun one. finish it up tomorrow. driver side rail also. she wants to read 50,000 psi... under power.
I bet so, dang
HOLY MOLY SHE'S A NEW TRUCK!! :)
Do you run any fuel additive’s? I’m sorry if you already covered this. Thanks, Angel
I started running hot shot secrets at 200k miles. Nothing before that. I haven't seen a noticeable difference with our without. I was starting to get *DPF low flow* check engine light pretty regularly when truck wasent on interstate and i started using lucas DPF cleaner at 300k and the light seems to stay off now. I'm becoming a believer in that stuff too. Thank you for your comment. Hope this helps
I know this has probably been ask 100 times but where did you get the low profile fuel tank? I have a 2019 3500 for personal camping and want that style tank. Thanks and keep up the great videos. I’ve watched everyone you put out. I want to do this in a few hours when I retire. Thanks again
Titan Fuel tank
I got mine at Dans and i looked up the part number on Amazon. Here's the link. It should be the same
RDS 69 gallon fuel tank
amzn.to/3nYkCZi
I want the titan to replace the stock tank. It's on the list but hasn't made it to the priority list yet
I have Silverado 3500 2022 is very good
I've not been in a 2022 i bet it's nice.i love my 18
I just bought a 17 l5p
Wow had I had same issues with injector wire and nox sensor 1 at exact mileage. Coincidence?
Could be, seems like a few ppl had the same issues around same time
Do you use full synthetic engine oil? I run Shell Rotella T-6. I also run full synthetic in the axles and transfer case
can't use led bulbs for headlights. it was illegal. you should've put in morimoto HID's especially since you have projectors in your assemblies. for your fog lights you can use led bulbs and i recommend morimoto 2 stroke 3.0
That line of light thing must be a morrimoto issue. I just put their headlights in my 2023 bronco and it does the same thing 🤬
Nice video. I deleted
Mine at 100k and hotshot every day. Never been looked at by a DOT or anyone
Thank you, it's probably in my near future. I'm not really worried about dot and i know it would be better for engine but I'm kinda wanting to hit 500k now before i so anything else to it. 430k today
@@CFarmer my 18 just rolled over 275k. So far at 60k I had dealer replace an injector under warranty. #5. At 110k I had to replace number 7 pigtail. I’m wondering if that’s all they did or needed to do to #5. I always wonder how many ppl take theirs to the stealer and get charged for a injector when all it was is a pigtail they swapped. Only other thing I’ve done in the last 10k miles mine kept throwing the abs light, stabilitrak and traction control off and on randomly over and over. And then I’d get a engine power reduced. If I pulled over and shut the truck off and waited 30 seconds and restarted it then I would have my power back till it decided to throw a fit again. I had the abs codes coming up on the front and code p228c low fuel pressure code. My plug on my rail sensor looked iffy so I bought a new sensor for the rail and a new pigtail to plug into it. So far that go rid of the check engine light and reduced power it kept throwing at me.
I also just put on the front since I figured it was time and I kept hearing a thud in the driver front side, I installed new kryptonite hubs from dmaxstore online. To my suprise my hubs were still tight and felt like new so my abs wire in the driver side must of been bad. I still figured it was time to throw some new hubs on. And the thud I was hearing turned out to be the CV axle. I have a 2.5” level on my truck and travel oilfield lease roads daily so they took a toll on them. I found oreillys carry’s extended cv axles for our 18’ model trucks that have level or small lift. They are the only place that has them. So after those new goodies no more abs light and I’m back in business.
Good deal! I think a lot of people get charged for injectors when it's just the pigtail. I luckily haven't had any fuel pressure codes to deal with and I'm amazed my hubs are holding up as good as they are. I hope you get miles and miles of good service out of it now
Have you looked at all the new L5p gear from banks , ?
I haven't looked latley
That’s good empty mpg. My halfton 3.0l duramax best 400mile is 29.5 and total average over 20k is 26mpg.
I've noticed it going down now that it's getting some miles on it. Thinking the DPF may be getting restriction. I've never been around a 3.0. If like to check one out sometime
Anyway to get your notes from you? I know it’s a long shot, but I have to ask.
I'm so glad you brought that up. Honestly it had slipped my mind. I haven't figured out where to put it up yet but i will. Email me at cfarmeronyt@gmail.com and I'll try to send copies tomorrow. I need to type them out so they're easier to read
Dont you run into payload limits with a 3/4 ton truck and towing 5th wheels?
What transmission did your truck come with? Thanks for the video, what injector pump did it come with?
Thank you ,Allison 1000 6 speed and HP4 (Denso) Injector pump
Spent 2k on a def tank and sensor replacement got a 18 denali hd
I caint believe i haven't had more issues from def tank, pump and emissions all together
I noticed your handheld radio in the floor and then you showed your strobe lights…I was curious if you belong to a local fire department?
I'm not, it's a cobra hand held cb. It's good for traffic jams and stuff like that. Not good for long range
5:55 I'm at 82k on my '20 Duramax and that NoX sensor is throwing errors
Canadian speedo would be kilometers per hour not mph -pretty sure that’s what you meant to say though
