- Sometimes, less is more. In the case of the Phil Castellini, this advice should've been heeded. It's unfortunate that the Cincinnati Reds took it instead.
In this video, I don't need anything but the words of Castellini himself. Once again, less is more with the Reds. - Спорт
The worst part about what's going on with the Reds is that they're only a month in to their season.
I don't think there's a more disrespectful thing that can be said about a professional sports team 😭😭😭
I honestly believe that they could either get close to, tie or break the Tigers for having the worst record in the MLB since they went to the 162 game schedule.
3-159 is still possible.
hey who knows what it they just....won the rest of their games?
😂

At this rate, we will see a “Congrats, Reds!” video by early July
Shit, we'll see it next week at this rate
Nah, next week we will see a “Congrats, Reds” video
They will break the O's record
they don't deserve one.
June. That's when they'll be eliminated from playoff contention
A lot of people forget that the Reds were truly one of the best baseball teams consistently for a long time. But since about 2014 their ownership and management has been abysmal. Trading players after waiting for so long that they have no further value left or they trade a guy like Winker whom the fanbase had waited years to finally develop. He really is the first great hitter that had been developed in a long time that was drafted by the team. Who was the last one Joey Votto? It's a shame what is happening to them.
Those early 2010s Reds seemed so promising-Cueto, Votto, Jay Bruce, Leake, Homer Bailey, Chapman, Phillips, etc
It’s hard to imagine how little they wound up achieving and how far they’ve fallen hardly a decade later…
I lived my whole life in a city that didn't have its' own MLB team. I was so excited to root for the Reds here now that I have them so close (I live 400 meters from the stadium). But now... it feels like I never left Buffalo for the last 25 years (up until very recently).
After 1990, the franchise is just cursed.
They haven’t won a series since 95, even the Florida panthers won a series in that time.
They are one of the oldest and most iconic franchises in MLB, and on top of that they play in a really great baseball city. There’s not many cities left where you can truly say “that’s a baseball city first,” and Cincinnati is one of probably two, the other being St. Louis.
There are other small market teams that would kill to have the passionate fanbase and community support that has been built on decades of legacy like what the Reds have. The Castellini family is doing everything they can in their power to drive that away, it’s just so sad.
The Reds had the 6th best record in the NL last season.
That same 6th seed is a playoff spot now, and the Reds are 3-22.
And the Braves would have had to play those Reds in a best of 3 series last year. Atlanta probably would have swept them.

Thank you for making this. As a Reds fan, ownership is just pissing me off. We finally have a competitive year, and you'd think after 8 shitty seasons, they would have more of an urge to put a winning product out there. When people would rather go to watch one of the worst teams in MLS over a team that's won championships in their history, you know there is an alarming problem.

Also threatening to move the teams too
Make it three teams actually, you can throw the Pirates in as well. The Reds, Bucs, and As were three of the best franchises in baseball in the 20th century, and now they’re dumpster fires. What a mess.

You wanna know something sad, too? The Reds are like…relying on the Bengals now to try and get fans in the seats. For Opening Day, it was Joe Burrow throwing the opening pitch to Zac Taylor. They spent on one year deals to attempt to "compete" but the guys they got either are injured or suck. I only tune in to see Greene and Lodolo pitch turn it off as soon as they get yanked. Shits sad.
The Reds have been rebuilding for the last 10 years…
Threatening to move the team in baseball is just so weird. Like how many cities are clamoring for a bad team in a dying sport? "Tampa" and Montreal are fighting to see who is stuck with the Rays, who are actually a good franchise
Send the Reds to Japan, they are less disrespectful with the sport
And honestly Tampa just needs to build a ballpark actually IN Tampa and they'll stay.
Yeah cities know what is up now. They never see the returns on the bazillion dollar stadiums they build for the teams so many others are just like "Nah, go do one. We don't want you here"
Also Reds are locked into a lease through 2035 so they can't move, and on top of that are literally one of the most historic teams in all of baseball. There is zero chance MLB would allow them or a new owner to move the team. To any informed fan it's the most hollow of threats.
The Rays just need to move to Tampa and they'll be fine. The Lightning draw big crowds and they are a hockey team in fucking Florida. I've been to the Trop a few times, it's not as bad as people say but it's in the middle of a pretty run down sketchy lookin area and that's pretty far away from Tampa downtown.
It makes sense why they don't sell a lot of tickets, they do pretty good numbers on TV but the stadium is too inconveniently located to be successful.
As a brewers fan, if you’re “gonna go somewhere else” that the brew crew welcomes everyone with open arms
One thing you CANNOT do as a staff member of the team; as an owner, a GM, someone in the front office, whatever, you cannot tell your already frustrated fan base what to do and how they should react to their teams performance.
