    I made these yesterday!! Although I’ve been making cookies for so many years now, this is definitely one of my all favourites! It’s just so special ! I love it !! Thank you so much for sharing ❤

    Hi, Stephanie! I've made so many of your recipes. They're amazing! I juts made these today for my partner, who loves fig rolls, and these were far superior (of course)! Next time, I will make them smaller because they're quite sweet for the size of one cookie. Still, these are worth the calories! Thank you!

    if i do use tea in the filling, does it make a difference whether i add it hot or cold?
    and i think i've commented this before, but thanks for being so thorough and thoughtful with the way you tell the recipes, so everybody can make sense of them.

    Mam , I have tried many of your recipes and they all have turned out amazing . I have just one query I have an otg without fan so wanted your expertise as to which rods to use while baking cookies . The top or the bottom or both together at the same time. Your reply will be much appreciated . Thank you.

    • @joyofbaking
      @joyofbaking  3 года назад

      You should use only the bottom heating element.

    Hello Stephanie, I have made these cookies twice already and my whole family loves them now. :) I just wanted to share something with you: the second time I couldn't find figs in my local supermarket so I bought a packet of mixed dried fruit, containing prunes, dried apricots and pears and used these as a substitute for figs. It was just as delicious! :)

    In the next day or two, I want to make a pan of oatmeal-fig squares, using a big jar of fig jam that I have. I assume the mixture you put together will work if some of it is layered on the bottom of a baking dish with the rest covering the fix jam. Now I'm crossing my fingers!

  • @joyofbaking
    @joyofbaking  11 лет назад

    Yes. As I mention in the video, you can make it by hand. Stir the dry ingredients together and then cut the butter into the dry ingredients. You can do this with your fingertips, two knives, or a pastry cutter. Once the butter is in small pieces (like coarse breadcrumbs), simply stir in the rest of the ingredients until you have a dough.
