I've been playing a lot with the Nighthawk and I realize that its stealth against planes and ground vehicles works well up to BR 11.7, above that it becomes a very risky flight. I have a video posted recently where I play with it and I tell you, what a sensational plane.
The only problem I have this the F117 is that you have to spend so much time climbing to at least 4.5k alt before you can even thing about engaging. Aside from that though, fantastic stuff, as always
@@Hunter_i86 Are you planning on doing a video on the Rafale in sim? From what ive heard it's pretty good because of the HMD having IFF for air and ground.
As can be seen, it is even more difficult in the F-117 during the day, because it can be spotted as a black triangle in the sky with the naked eye. And thus an easy game for SA8, 2S6 and other mobile SAM systems. That's why the real combat missions all took place at night. Awesome to watch your videos they are very chill.👍👍👍
even during day battles players trust their radars way too much. Its the IR missile platforms that you need be scared of in F-117 because they are by default looking at the skies with their eyes
The stealth absolutely works, but stealth isn't some sort of magical impenetrable radar invisibility cloak, just like how flares and chaff are not magical 'missile go away now' buttons. Different radars at different angles from the plane get different results. And nothing protects you from being spotted visually.
They way it’s implemented into the game it seems is they have a set detection range I wish they did a full rework of rcs and a bit with radar but I understand that it takes time and it’s a difficult thing to get working right
@@simplegamerz9485 No, actually. Out of all the things in WT that are questionable, their modeling of how radars work is actually surprisingly accurate. The things have sidelobes and backwash for crying out loud. Sure, there's problems, but it's amazingly good for what it is.
@@MrBlueBurd0451If anything, the only thing that’s POSSIBLY wrong would be the RCS values, but those are classified so it’s understandable. I’m happy with how it is
@@christopherchartier3017 Well, in general WT massively overmodels its radar capabilities. Especially radar missiles before the Skyflash and AIM-7M are massively more capable than they are IRL at low altitude, because everything is modeled as if using an inverse monopulse seeker, which only started with the aforementioned missiles.
@@Hunter_i86 Yes, it's useful, it can also be a bit buggy with the NightHawk, I find using that time as a good measure for preparation to tgt whichever is more suitable honestly.
Gliding bombs like JDAM and GBU-39 is estimation after few tests and trail and error runs, and unguided bombs and non gliding GBUs like GBU-12 I use CCRP timer in HUD to drop.
FInally a content creator who flies the F-117 like its meant to. So many people fly it 2000m altitude and complain that "the stealth does not work" when they get shot down
Stealth works fine against radars, I tried it in both perspectives, when I was the pilot and when I was the SPAA operator, however it doesn't work well against IR missiles in general, Stinger and Strela seem to lock on F-117 like locking on an F-14 Tomcat or any other plane.
@@Hunter_i86 yeah I think it has something to with the photocontrast lock thing strela, ocelot and japanese systems have and it will only works against a clear sky/background But then again they have already detetected you when they are pointing their IR seekers towards you and at that point it really does not matter if its a strela or a tunguska
With the zero second thing could it be that 0.0 in the code is treated the same as an agm hit? From I’ve experienced it seems when you set a zero fuse it acts like a rocket/agm impact instead of a bomb
Please tell me how to calculate the ballistic trajectory of the AGM-123 Skipper missile on the A6-E Tram aircraft in simulator mode, at a distance of ~10 km and an altitude of ~5 km? Or, in other words, how to calculate the ballistic trajectory for this missile and aircraft in simulator mode?
at 3000m altitude I could destroy a target at 9km distance, level flight at Mach 0.75, but that doesn't mean it is a solid linear 1/3 ALT to Range ratio because at 5000m altitude the bomb didn't reach to 15km target. There is no real way for Skipper in sim, it is just estimation, I recommend trial and error until you find a proper altitude for your play style, I think 3000m ALT is nice to hit a target at 9km level fly in TRAM BR range, or more than 9km if you toss it for sure.

WT has so much potential but sadly Gaijin only adds new vehicles, they should rework ground RB, ground SB and add air RBEC at the very least. Thanks a lot man

F-117 must comeback in Ace Combat 8. 45 years of F-117 in 2026.
A daytime mission with this aircraft is already inaccurate :) lol
They should make night missions in Ground SB, and optional like in RB :)

@Hunter, the TTG on the HUD is actually the time to tgt and is displayed on the cockpit hud and the MFD for the targeting pod.
