Just a quick note about the subscription plans and auto-renewal. If you purchase an annual plan then it is worth checking that it auto-renews as an annual plan. OS sent me an email stating that my 12 month plan will auto renew and there was nothing I had to do. It actually renewed as a monthly plan which is almost double the cost (especially since there was a price increase just after the renewal date.)
I've had the app for about three years now on the annual subscription and I find it to be very good value for money. Does not crash, easy to use and plenty of useful features. I use it all the time to plot and record walking routes though I still bring a map and compass along for back up.
The app seems to have been updated by OS in March 2024. At least, all the menus and buttons in this video don't show up on my mobile phone the same place or appearance. It's possible I'm doing something wrong, and I assume all the features are still in there somewhere ... but I'm finding it a struggle.
Thank you, and yes it is possible to print custom maps through the Web app (web page on browser I couldn't see an option in the phone app). This allows you to create a PDF file which you can save or of course print. Max size appears to be A3. There's not a huge number of actual print options but you can choose style (base map layer) paper sizes and orientation. Routes are shown and you have the option to print a supplementary page with route summary and all the route points including Co ordinates, elevation etc. Hope that helps.

Yes I find it useful also and can't ever recall it crashing.
Glad you liked the video.
Very interesting, download from phone to GPS idea, off to try it.
Thanks. Hope it works for you.
Very useful review, thanks.

Interesting plus point not mentioned.. the mapping includes USA, Aus, NZ (although curiously not Canada or British overseas territories)
Thanks for mentioning that.
