How drop-resistant is this product? I just purchased this one, reformatted as the speaker guided, but I would like to know how cautious and careful should I be w this HDD. Would I lose all my files if this accidentally drops from the table while working on it?

Hi can you please share Driver for windows. I want to open my passport drive on windows 10, which is formatted for MAC. I can't find any such link on WD website.

With the "install digital software for Mac" I click that, then another folder comes up with the orange logo to "install digital western software" but when I click that literally nothing happens. Am I done? confused...

how do you search the WD passport on a macbook?

No matter what I do, the my passport will not show up on my Mac. I have the for Mac version and I've tried everything and it won't work.

Sadly, does not working at all, even installing it. Nothing happens. I have root rights, but nothing happens. Read on the internet, that during installation you have to share user data to install the software. Is this true?
Hi, please be informed that the WD Discovery application never accesses your personal data. It asks for permission to access app activity and crash information which is later used for application fixes and new updates.
What if my mac laptop doesn't have a USB drive port?
Hi, Thank you for reaching out to us. Please know that if a USB Type A port is not available on your host device, you can use an adapter to convert the connector to the required port type. Also, if USB Type C is available, you can check out our storage drive options with USB Type C port.
I don't even see my disk showing up at all when i plug it in. what do I do?
Hello, if you are still having difficulties finding your WD hard drive on your mac, try these following steps after connecting your hard drive:
1. First click on the Finder app on the button of your screen
2. Next click on the Finder button in the menu bar at the left top of the screen (ensure Finder app is open).
3. Click on Preferences → General → Show these items on the desktop.
4. Ensure the boxes next to External disks and Hard disks are selected.
5. Then go to the Sidebar and also check Hard disks and External disks.
If you are using Disk Utility, follow these steps: Go to Applications → Utilities → Disk Utility → View → Show All Devices
At this point the sidebar on the left will display any external drives - your hard drive should now be displayed there.
