When I flip my GGL MK06’s, I get about half way and get scared the entire window is going to drop out of its hinge. Am I being ridiculous, there’s no way the window can come out and drop on me is there?
The grey plastic bit should just unclip fairly easily, but the end of the chain may need a bit of a pull to come out. It helps to ease the window up at the same time.
Hi Daniel, the windows have a ventilation flap, which is essentially the bit that pulls down with the handle. If you have the motorised ones, just press the button long enough for the flap to open. This is what the Velux website says: "To enjoy fresh air even when the win dow is fully closed, pull the control bar lightly downwards to open the ventilation flap. The window will remain locked, but air can enter the room through a built-in air filter that keeps out dust, insects and driving snow."
I'm learning this after 11 years of living in my house! Thanks!
Glad to help!
Fab - thanks. Simple, clear and beautifully narrated, you should be doing audiobooks!
Thank you so much. I’m not a fan of the over-excited RUclips commentary, so I deliberately went a different way for my videos. Glad it works for you.
Thank you! I was ready to climb onto the roof. Much easier your way!
Excellent! Glad it helped.
Thanks
You’re welcome. Enjoy the extra light!

Not going to happen. But, I do understand the nervousness.
oh my god I never knew...we got someone to clean them when he cleaned the roof
Delighted to have helped.
all good as long as you have low ceiling
Indeed. We have another one that is quite high, requiring a step-ladder - but still much easier to get to from inside than out!
How hard do you have to pull the catch to release the chain ? I opened catch but chain will not come out !

Hello! How do you open the window only for air? I mean, i know there is a combination in the control board to open just the flow of air.
