  • Virgin Atlantic has progressively moved from inefficient quad-engine jets towards a new era of twin-engine planes such as the A350 and 787, but what is the current fleet at the airline, and how close was it to almost operating the world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380?

Hi, I love Virgin Atlantic. It is my favourite airline. Ive flown the A330, A340 and 787. I hope to fly the A350 and A330NEO in tyhe near future to the US. Out in one back in the other. This is after I have flown the Lufthansa 747 to your home city via Oslo, Frankfurt amd Singapore. Love your videos, keep them coming🙃🙂

Virgin Atlantic is my preferred airline. I’ve flown it multiple times over the years and the one thing that has always impressed me is their service. Several companies have jet powered tubes that will fly you from point A to point B safely but when it comes to service Virgin is hard to beat! 🇬🇧

I remember virgin used to paint “four engines for long haul” on the side of their aircraft in a dig at BA when they bought the B777.

Virgin needs to greatly improve its upper class provision especially on its older aircraft.

Between the 787 and A350 variants, I don’t really know why the A330neo is a required type… especially when you only have 42 aircraft. I know pilots can cross between the A330 and A350, but it still adds more maintenance costs for spare parts

My advice to Sir Richard Branson and his Virgin Atlantic board would be NOT TO BUY ANOTHER BOEING.
Instead continue to shop at Airbus for any airliner needing replaced.

In 2018 I flew to MAN and back from the USA. JFK to MAN was a 747, MAN to ATL was an A330. Both old, though of course the A330 was newer and with a much better interior.

Virgin can't retire the A330-300 quick enough, we fly from MAN to MCO regularly, and the off-peak choice of the A330-300 is dire. The plane is old, tired, creaking and cold. The A350-1000 couldn't be more different, it's superb.

The A380 would have been amazing for Virgin but engineering wise it's a beast to maintain. Virgin don't the resources to operate it which is why they went for the A350 instead. Fleet wise I think they should have ordered a mixture of 787 -8 and -10s or A350-900 to remove the A330 and go with a two type fleet.

I still miss seeing the Virgin 346 departure and arrival at LHR, with the demise of 340 and 747 Virgin have lost their way and no longer offer anything different, Upper class is nothing special when compared to other carriers, the spark has now gone for Virgin and like the 346 and 747 will never return.

It was a major oversight, Retiring Boeing the 747-400 Never mind, not ordering the 800i As a future successor!
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner Has very dated badly!
And in my opinion, only fit for the boneyard!
Virgin have lost their way when they coed With Delta!
The upper-class Is not what it should be to be!
The food service Leaves lots to Be desired when compared to BA first or club!
Yes, the seats On some of the aircraft mainly that being the airbus A 350 1000.
Nothing compares To a 747 By Boeing!
      Which was flagships Fleet !
The reasoning For taking out service does not stack up!
When Lufthansa Still flies both the Boeing 747-400
      And 800i!
