I got stuck in Dublin Emirates wouldn’t let me board the flight because I had a stopover in Dubai. The communication from Emirates was extremely poor. Couldn’t call them or speak to anyone, I was lucky I booked through an agent and was able to get on a flight 30 hours later. They wouldn’t rebook on another airline
Gatwick does not ban aircraft, they put quotas on and distance the aircraft out, they also have a curfew on anything over QC4. Maybe something Schiphol could look at as a model.
Let me guess: a bunch of people bought cheap houses near the airport then started lobbying for limiting the noise on their houses so that their value increases? Pathetic
I don’t think I would want to take any flight, arriving between the hours or departing between the hours of midnight and 6 AM. I was forced to catch a flight departing Santiago Chile at midnight, which ultimately didn’t leave till 2:30 in the morning and it was absolutely miserable.
You need a new hierarchy for your news! One step up from massive, I would recommend very huge, big gigantic gargantuan, massive super urgent, important life-changing never before seen news. I’m still thinking of a level one step beyond that.
I've never understood why airlines, or companies in general, feel like they need to apologize for things like the weather and other things that are way beyond their control. It's like the railways apologizing for two feet of snow falling on their rails. If they're customers don't understand, that's on them. Clark's "sincere apologies" are idiotic.
it blows my mind how someone can misunderstand this... They had to apologize for EXTREME mishandling of the situation and poor treatment of the passengers. Not the weather... geeesh.
Why can’t they not propose a night ban in AMS for all planes that are not the latest quiet generation, read the Airbus 320/321 NEO or B737 Max 8 and 9. Transavia is just getting the 321NEO and could use those at night.
@Manu101299 you're talking apples and apples just to pick a fight and argue, it's the same result. So pick your second and enter the ring Mr Perfection 🥰
Airports are always built out in the middle of nowhere, and then people move in and around them then start to complain, if you don’t like airplanes or airplane noise, don’t move next to an airport. I’m not much for new laws, but if you live within 10 miles of an airport and complain. You should be fined. By the way, I live in the flight path of a major Air Force Base, and I actually gave the commander my coordinates as a turning point for his aircraft , they come in fast and sometimes low and slow, and I love it.
BS Emirates, how could they not look after 30k plus bags. The bags will be at airports, and Emirates has staff at these airports.. I'll never trust Emirates as Emirates should have had a plan if an airport closed.
Transavia will not be leaving the Dutch market. They have hubs at Rotterdam and Eindhoven plus they use Groningen. Rotterdam is as close to Amsterdam as some other cities primary airports but The Netherlands government needs to improve access to Rotterdam Airport from central Amsterdam and Schiphol so it can relieve pressure on Schiphol. With a good high speed rail link from Rotterdam Airport to Amsterdam Central it would be as quick to fly into Rotterdam due to shorter taxi times and less walking distance at Rotterdam in comparison with Schiphol. They also need to provide incentives for cargo to move from Schiphol to Eindhoven and Maastricht airports, and upgrade Groningen Airport and its access so it can take more flights, particularly from LCCs, as it would be no more inconvenient than Hahn or Beauvais.
@@howlr747 It was sarcasm. Today's video has the almost daily "bad news for Boeing ..." headline. Boeing has supply chain issues that are slowing deliveries is news yet again. Airbus deliveries are also delayed for the same reason but only Boeing's need to be repeated endlessly.
As someone who used to live on the LHR flight path, and can still be woken by planes in the morning, having moved a bit west, my message to Transavia is - 'Boo flippin hoo! Get over it'
Tim Clark may have apologized, but that is to be expected. It does show that he is, perhaps, OVERRATED??? a CEO for nice weather conditions, but absolutely terrible in emergencies. and he thinks he can criticize others left and right because, he thinks, he occupies a lofty position above everybody else.
He hasn't done bad has he? The Emirates model did not cope well in the weather. Do you think any other airline based in Dubai would have handled it better?
Easily. Don't get caught up in the ridiculous hype now. Boeings are as good as the opposition. All that matters is buying Boeing or Airbus to fulfil the exact requirements.
Schiphol night time closure seems like it would impact cargo operators in a big way.
Ok i have voiced my opinion on this topic b4 ok people don't move near an airport if can't handle the noise!
Wrong - they do, and then complain about the noise

What’s even crazy is having employees come in the middle of the storm with flooding water lol
Next time you should touch on SAA's re-inaugural flight to Perth from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo using an A340-300, ZS-SXF. Great video anyways 👍
I see she is leaving at 20H55 local time

BA "Award Winning Service"?? Back in the 80s when I was a regular LHR - ORD Biz Class commuter yes. But not in the last 30 years.....
Issues in AMS mirrors discussion regarding BNE operations in Australia - curfew and slot restrictions would demoted BNE into minor airport

They don't apologise for the rain. They apologise for how they handle the during and after the storm, which is their responsibility and fault.

Why havnt you covered the BA sales ban by FCTG? Thought that would be big news for you being an Aussie.
BA award winning service 🤔
Mother Nature can’t be controlled but it’s good to see them get a bit of weather that other airlines always deal with!

So where's the BIG Emirates news?
Can you talk about beregional in your next vid its the new flybe 3.0
Fire and Ice.
Desert and floods.
The times we live in.
Have you all forgotten Heathrow bans night flights?.
You are wrong. Heathrow has not formally banned night flights however the government have out restrictions on such operations due to noise etc.

Thank you dj!!
Should think Emirates did apologise . Appalling airline at the best of times . Over booking and poor cabin crew

Lol at Transavia plan. Would have loved to hear where they would have moved… and have a sound business model
I was stranded for 4 days in dxb
Nice
This channel would also work superbly as a podcast 🎧😄
Under extreme circumstances.

Why, pray tell, is this Massive News?
That is brave of BA. 787s are supposed to about to fall to pieces in the air.
No they are not. Scarifying tactics by a disgruntled employee. Ongoing equipment fatigue and wear and tear are closely monitored by authorities now
