Catching The CSX Chessie System & Seaboard System Heritage Units - Erie, PA. On a really nice evening during Discover Presque Isle weekend back in July, I joined up with my friend, Chris of Stanton's Journeys and Stanton's Crossings to catch some trains while also enjoying a beautiful weekend in Erie. We got lucky one evening as not one but two heritage units from CSX were on their way. One was coming in from Ohio heading toward New York while the other was coming from New York heading toward Ohio. Got the two just a few hours apart. Enjoy!

Wallie, I loved seeing the Chessie system unit. My grandfather was a section gang worker on the
C & O railroad. C & O was the parent company of the Chessie system.
