Thameslink/London Underground: Trains at Farringdon

I’m a bit confused. At the 5:20 mark of the video, the elevated view shows Underground trains running on the left and ThamesLink trains [on platform 3] running on the right. I can’t tell from the view, but is there a wall (or partition) separating those platforms? Or can a Underground passenger simply walk over and board a ThamesLink train? (without “tapping out” of the Underground?)

the platforms are on a different level, so yeah there is a wall but there are a few points with stairs where you can change trains. they also both use the same fare system so you don't need to tap out or in again to change

Been on Thameslink many times including from Farringdon to Bedford, Brighton, Gatwick Airport, East Croydon and Luton.
