I had gotten the original as a child in 83. I got it as a Christmas gift. The original toy came with a book and record set with two stories. The point dread piece set up with Castle Greyskull. The "Talon Fighter Teela" has that Betty Boop makeup going on there.
Another excellent video PD! Seeing the massive Talon Fighter atop the massive Grayskull warms my heart - did any of us ever think we would see the like?! Great stuff!
I had the original. Loved connecting ability to the castle. It really brought that technological perspective to He-Man for me. Barbarians with aviation… SO COOL. Note: auto interior pry bars. Those are perfect for stubborn clips.

I finally was able to get this set. AMAZING! I was surprised at how big the box was! I actually like the Teela. It has more of a Filmation look to it. MOTUC has to go down in history as one of the BEST TOY LINES EVER! Again, great review!
Such a shame that the included Teela figure looks terrible. I was looking forward to that figure and it turns out disappointing... But the Talon Fighter does look incredible!
+DarrenWatson64 Yeah, I'm torn for the same reason, but still my wallet will be relieved it's not part of the sub (but sadly I bet those He-Man Skele two packs will be, and I don't really want either of them TBH). I do love that Talon Fighter though, but yeah Teela really got gimped on the sculpt and paint apps here, not to mention I noticed her arms don't have updated bicep swivel from the elbow like the later female bucks do (like Catra, that I can tell anyway) :-(

Great video, and as always your honesty and constructive criticism is part of what makes your channel a joy to watch, as well as your second MOTU childhood enthusiasm. I myself can identify because I had quite a few of the toys in the 80's, and am reliving my second childhood with this figure line by getting all the stuff I had wanted and couldn't have then.
Teela 2.0 should have a "paper bag head" as alternate head. What a bow wow. Nice review of the cool vehicle though, duder. Didn't know it would fit two figures inside!!
wow teela took a shovel to the face on both counts lol ! man that talon fighter is massive ! was thinking of getting one as I love that FFM talon pilot dude but the space to store somthing that big !
While I don't collect the toy line, I still think they're awesome and I love seeing your videos. I'd love to see an Attak Trak vehicle. Based on the toy, not the cartoon, of course!

Pixel Dan got a decent Teela figure from the others I have seen revealed. The helmeted one has derp eye, but the tiara one doesn't look too frightful. She can probably be improved by repainting the lips...I will try that once I get mine in hand.
That Teela is a mess. Even as a Filmation figure, it looks like a poor attempt to capture the cartoon likeness. I bet all the scalpers, who thought they could break up the set and sell Teela for a fortune, like the classics one, will be in for a shock.
I love my talon fighter, and yeah I was very upset with how teela turned out, but I bought it for the vehicle.. and to be able to attach it to the castle
I have my talon fighter on the Castle, but I did see the weirdness that your pointing out, It makes the Castle look small.. It def takes over when It's on top the castle. I also never had the chance to see this review after I picked up my talon fighter not sure why since I open all my stuff to you video reviews. But yeah the teela is just down right horrible, especially when you compared it to the OG. I don't know what mine looks like yet cause I've never looked at her up close. I did buy an extra pilot head cause I wanted to make a female palace guard with it but still haven't gotten an adora figure to make one yet. I'm not that custom type person, I haven't done any customs at all since this line started, I'm the kinda guy who will wait and see what we don't get and wait for the line to end before I start doing that kinda stuff. I do have to check them out though and see what mine look like and also the way the eyes on your vultak looked, they were so bad.. I'm also going to have to check mine out as well..

Either Teela's Upper torso is too short, or her legs are too long. Either way, it makes her arms look too long. Do you remember the 7 inch Vinyl record and comic book that came with the vehicle back in the 80's? I look it up in RUclips. Pure Nostalgia!
Another great review Dan.. Glad i got to see someone holding it to make the judgement on a purchase.. I feel like vehicle is way too big.. It looks out of place on the castle.. Even though the vintage one did, back then it was acceptable.. Teela omg why?! My 1st cartoon crush as a child and when they finally release a filmation style representation of her, its messed up.. Its not the worst but it should have been way better than that.. Why throw some painted plastic on top of the buck instead of sculpting her the way she looks in the series? Not going after this one due to the jet being way too large and Teela looking like a cheap quick build.. I understand them trying to save money on character models but paying that much for a set should be worth it.. Again great review! Im just bumed out about this set i was really looking forward to owning for my collection and setting up with the future filmation style figures being released..

rodster6 Although I'd love it, I'm thinking the Space Mutant Mothership is a little too farfetched of a dream to hold out for. Then again I am doubtful Starship Eternia will make it into this line, so late into it.

If Teela wasn’t included with that set, I would approve of it. I am not an advocate of women operating fighter planes, and would only see Teela commanding battles on Land, or Sea.

That little door on the Point Dread base looks out of place too. Even a Mega Bloks figure wouldn't fit through it.

At least the helmeted Teela head has a chin. I don't mind the googly eyes. Small imperfections like that make it more interesting.

I see that Tella’s legs get longer in expense of other body parts, which get shorter.
I believe they should made extra base separate and a way to use a handle that can removed.
Yeah I though it was big too the first time I put it on the castle, but It's not a big issue for me so I kept mine on top the castle...

teela is awful, i actually went and hugged my original Teela. thank god i didnt get this.
