How strange is it that this is my FINAL MattyCollector MOTU review?! Matty is officially done, and I've reviewed every since MOTU Classics figure they released! Now we just wait for Super7 to start producing their MOTUC figures! Thanks for watching, everyone!

I'm going to miss the mattycollector site. I had lots of fun ordering MOTU classics from there.

The fact the Skelcon, a Ladybird-only henchmen character that I loved as a child, is finally as figure is mind-blowing! (Totally agree though that it sucks to include an army-builder with a vehicle).
The 4H have recreated the Roton (which I spent hours playing with the vintage version of when young) and it looks great. Even the touches like the panels on the sides being sculpted, whereas they could've just cheaped out and used stickers like the vintage version. Only drawback is that it doesn't make that menacing "clack-clack-clack" noise that the vintage version made (which shouldn't have been too hard too incorporate). I know of the model where the additional cover comes from - but I wonder if this also stems from an early prototype of the Roton toy, as I know a few of the other vintage vehicles also had little touches that were dropped from the final produced versions.
This is absolutely my favorite MOTU Classics release without question or pause. I LOVE IT!

We seriously need to see a Collector or villain battle ram. Roton is okay but unimaginative
Cool toy, I had the vintage one when I was a kid. That would be a cool addition to a collection.
GREAT review Dan. Glad I bit the bullet and purchased it. This was a MUST own, in my opinion. Was hoping Matty would do a last minute price slashing on the last few hours of the site but no such luck. This thing is already going for $200-375.00 on Ebay.

Dan you rock. Though I kind of wish Super7 would have been able to produce the Roton. I'm sure they would have been willing to make it cheaper. Mattel got me one last time with their collector exploitative prices. And the Roton was one of the things I wanted the most from this line. By the way, if and when hover crafts are a thing, I'm totally going to turn one into a Roton.
Picked up my Roton as well. What can I say. Roton is my 2nd fav Evil vehicle after Land Shark and it is beautiful! Expensive no doubt but it's a real beauty.
I really want this to be done in the motu origins line. Best evil vehicle!

AWESOME! This is such an AWESOME set. I am so glad I was able to pick one up before the site closed. I missed out on the original but this more than makes up for it. Thanks for all the AMAZING toys Matty! Now I just hope Super 7 is able to give up an Attack Trak :)

Great review Dan. Personally, my favorite evil warriors vehicle was the Land Shark. (When I was a kid I would have the Land Shark battle the old Thundertank)
The Land Shark is also great!
I had the Attack Trak and Talon Fighter (I had the good version but there was also a villain version) model kids--which did not hold up to playtime, but I didn't know there was a Roton one.
The only other vehicle I'd like to see going forward would be a filmation style Attack Track.. but so happy I have the Roton on the way..

Well, not really. The heroes have 3 and the Evil Warriors have 1. :-) But I AM glad they finally have one!

The Evil Warriors have the Sky Sled/Doom Buggy, Roton and Nightstalker. I guess if you class nightstalker as a beast then two, but as it's mechanical I always think of it as a vehicle.
Oh yeah, I never classed Nightstalker as a vehicle, but that's a fair point.
I wonder if this is why New Adventures has been so underrepresented in the Classics Line. given the size, scale and volume of vehicles within NA. If Roton came in around $120, how much would Starship Eternia be?
Roughly the price of Castle Grayskull, but I don't think as many people would get it.

Too bad Mattycollector didn't hook you up with this item sooner. After watching your review i would have purchased it from Matty's website when it was for sale. Your videos definitely spur interest in something i might not otherwise pay attention to. Awesome job showcasing.

Wish I had pulled the trigger on this before they shut down.. At least I got the Horde Wraith and a few other vaulted items.
Dug the Roton and do know got for Christmas way back when (thanks to a home video) . Dunno what happened to it since then though.
The update looks awesome and dig the skelcon. Easy a trooper builder. Hmm would Super7 possibly do that? single solo skelcon release later?

Dude... YES! (But not a $125+ yes for me). I love the rare characters you only see in a few frames or even just 1-2 pages! And the art is fantastic! Happen to know their name? And the ReAction 3 3/4" cards deserve their own, figureless release. I want to own the set. Could be my biggest "open/don't open!" Toy trials.

Compared to the original Roton,the 2017 Roton is on steroids,haha!!It is well worth the $125 pricey tag.
I wanted that skelcon, but I just could not afford that price so close to the holidays. I missed out.

Hey Dan...if you hear anything as to where Matty is going to unload the overstock or if they are going to open back up for another sale...let me know. I have EVERYTHING that has come out from MOTUC since the beginning in 2008 and right now I am absolutely sick because somehow Matty has lost my order for the Roton! I have been waiting for this figure to add to my already massive collection and now I do not have it. Just watching your video makes me want it all the more! Great review and I am looking forward to many new toys from Super 7!
I haven't heard anything about if/where they'll be selling leftover stock. Really sorry to hear they messed up your order! That's a huge bummer.

The Flight stand with Roton don't fit with Wind Raider and the Jet Sleds. The peg is molded differently! :/

Still..it would have been nice if they made the ROTON so it could glow and have battery powered features and sound effects like laser fire and the shows trade mark ominous music when entering a dark area/scene.Little things like that would set this Roton into over the top coolness.
