Susannah Hoffs, 'Manic Monday' @ Kite Festival, Oxfordshire 11.6.23

How could I forget I went to the tent to see an interview, audience Q&A and short performance by The Bangles' Susannah Hoffs? She was an absolute delight and completely charming. I loved her positivity and she just radiated Californian positivity and upbeatness.
The audience totally adored her too and you can hear it in this song. They do the 'oh-o-ohs' in the chorus, even the harmonies. It was an absolute delight and what a treat to be able to see her in such an intimate setting under the searing sun of an early afternoon.

Think about this.....She is 65 years old. HELLO?!?!? Susanna is still lightning in a bottle and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous after all these years. No digital filters, no Artificial Intelligence, no multi-million dollar professional studio.....just a guitar and a mic and she sounds amazing. They don't make women like Susanna anymore.
