How can I get my wife hairspray off of the wood medicine chest and toliet topper? What can I put on it to make come back from the dead once I get it clean so it looks refreshed and newer? If possible, is there a low odor way so the house doesn't smell like a table that just got refinished? Great videos!

Base on a recommendation from another RUclips source. I have been using a 50/50 mixture of Palmolive dish wash soap (not the concentrated) and white vinegar for cleaning the bathroom. Also has amazing results when cleaning greasy pots, pans, glasses and dishes. The flapper is easy to replace, but the problem with some toilets is that you have to remove the tank, to replace the valve seat. (i.e. from underneath).

The Blue is beautiful. But when you flush there is a microscopic spray. Children like blue to play in. Then there are the pets snooping around. It makes me wonder what the blue does to a septic tank. Not for me. God bless you and yours

You have to be careful if there is dirt in your tank. Because when you flush that dirt it will go down the thin draining tubes and clog them. If you clog them you won't be able to flush the toilet and that is going to be a real problem.

I bought some today and it came in a clear Ziploc type bag. It has a label I could print myself. Let's just say I wouldn't want to be caught with it anywhere that I'd have to explain it's only citric acid.

Do you have any tips for getting rid of those black marks at the bottom of the toilet that you cannot reach with a toilet brush. I know muriatic acid would get rid of them but I don't want to use that stuff. Great cleaning tips Thanks

Push a toilet bowl brush up and down so that the water recedes. Pour a cup of bleach or vinegar (NOT BOTH) in the bowl. Leave up to an hour. Get some rubber gloves on, if you like (I prefer without), then use a nylon scrubber and hand scrub until it all comes clean. Once done, flush away the debris. Also remember to scrub under the rim. I prefer not to use gloves, so that i can feel any texture on the surface. After flushing, wash your hands with the gloves on and leave to air dry. Then thoroughly wash your hands and use a nail brush under your nails. Repeat. Rinse, dry and apply a good hand cream.

Try vinegar, first ... get a 1/2 gallon of cheap cleaning vinegar from the dollar store, remove the water from the bowl, then pour it into the bottom to the correct level and leave overnight. This will dissolve any limescale. Then flush. If the marks are actually scratches, try some Barkeepers Friend (scouring powder) or similar.

I've always liked the blue toilet water, but stopped using those tabs because it started to leak from the bottom of the toilet, staining the floor. It most likely was because of a defective old toilet, but I replaced the toilet and haven't used them on the new one. They also sell the tabs in white.

No it's because those tablets (blue or white) ruin the seals and parts inside the toilet.
Plumbers say never put anything in the tank.

Great tips bc bleach is bad for ceramic. The BON AMI - no bleach cleanser is Amazinggggggg on shower accent hardware and fiberglass sinks. Cleans better than bleach on fiberglass white kitchen sinks.
