How can I get my wife hairspray off of the wood medicine chest and toliet topper? What can I put on it to make come back from the dead once I get it clean so it looks refreshed and newer? I have mixed feelings about toilet water being colorless or blue . I rather have blue sorry it just tells house guests that I take clean to a new level . But since now we haven't anybody come over plain clear water with a dash of bleach is fine

I disagree. Talking a little slower is way better than talking fast and a terrible pitch to the voice...that is annoying. Think about it..if you are trying to learn something do you really want your instructor talking so fast like he or she's had 18 cups of coffee, dont think so! For me...and I bet many others....slow your roll.

I watched you clean a toilet tank awhile ago and to be honest I’d never even thought about cleaning mine until then . Now I’m cleaning it as well as the rest of the bathroom so thank you for giving me the idea . 😊❤️
Base on a recommendation from another RUclips source. I have been using a 50/50 mixture of Palmolive dish wash soap (not the concentrated) and white vinegar for cleaning the bathroom. Also has amazing results when cleaning greasy pots, pans, glasses and dishes. Does wonders on my reading glasses; a quick spray on each side with a then hit it with a quick rinse, and then bam ... almost like new.
For the clogged toielt get a big bottle of dish soap from the Dollar Tree. Pour half in and a pot of boiling water, enough so it self flushes. Wait 20 mins and repeat with the other half. Wait 10 mins and flush, should work

Just found you and love your advice. Do you ever add peroxide in your concoction? I use peroxide to clean many things. If you add it to your dish liquid for your dishes I feel that it cleans them better and it foams up better. I use these power wash bottles all the time and mix my own concoctions up like you do. I loved your video here and smile to myself because I was thinking about myself using those power wash bottles. Lololol
Vinegar plus Dawn adding to toilet bowl and let it sit for 30 minutes work wonderfully. After 30 minutes I stirred the tank and gently rub the toilet tank with a tooth brush. All of dirty and scum that had been accumulated for a very long time came off. Now my toilet bowls are cleaned and looks new. Thanks, Andrea for the awesome tip.

Haha. My mom got me these lavender Ty d bol tabs that turn your water purple. We both love purple. It’s hilariously different. However, I’m uncertain they are doing much as far as keeping the toilet clean.

I would put 1/2 cup of bleach in the tank and flush. It also kills odors, I workr in a kitchen and pour dawn down the drains to cut the yucky smell that emits from the drains, also eats the crud in the pipes. Vinegar works well for mold, better than bleach.
My plumber said YES, use vinegar occasionally. Our water is so hard, it is destroying the innards of the toilet with the mineral deposits! Our clogs were due to tree roots that got into the pipes. We put root killer in every month or so.
I can attest the combination, or 'miracle cleaner', does in fact work. I've always stored the solution in spray bottle, which I would spray into the toilet. However, the solution stubbornly clogged, eventually. Brilliant logical idea, I will surely adopt this method in place of the spray bottle.
I use mine in one of those scotch brite refillable sponges on a stick. I put the solution in the stick and have one in my bathroom and one in the kitchen. I learned it from the Clean With Me Podcast 🙂

Just moved into a really clean apartment and watching your video , I checked the tank and it was dirty. Going to the store to purchase your ingredients, I went by a Dollar Tree. Went in to get some wash detergent and saw they had Lime A-Way toilet cleaner and bought it and a Brillo brush across from it. Came back , , turned the water off and cleaned the tank with this gel. Within 2 flushes the and less than a minute the hole job was done.

Dawn is the bomb. Watched a drywall pro whip a TBSP of dawn into drywall spackle to eliminate bubbles and eliminate cracking when tape & bed and final hand knock down dries.

He is correct. It's really just a mind thing. However, you do have to be careful of any build-up, etc. in the tank, so you could simply hold a vessel beneath the water inlet.
Been using those Ty-D-Bol tablets for years. No issues. They cut back the chlorine bleach percentage. They also introduced a botanical version I want to try.

your right about the plumbers here in Aussie the plumbers told me that the ones that you drop in tank and leave are deadly they go out to a lot of houses to fix the tanks because of those blue things, so I stopped using them $100 later.
I don't use bleach anything in the tank, now. Over time, the rubber fittings deteriorate at the flapper valve and to replace the valve seat usually requires removing the tank. That's where the cost comes in.

Changing the playback speed can really help when I'm having trouble grasping all the info packed into fast talking videos. I'm very thankful for people who make these kind of videos. Their brains probably work better and faster than mine, but I can still learn from them. 😉

My husband was home sick from work one day. That was my bathroom cleaning day. He came in and saw me with a toothbrush, q tips, and baking soda 😂! I had older toilets then so I used q tips to clean the snaps that hold the seat in place. He told me “ I think I want a bath when you’re done. I didn’t realize you clean like THIS!” I looked at him so crazy 😂! I usually just shower when I’m done cleaning the bathroom. It takes me 2 1/2 hours to deep clean 2 bathrooms. I installed new toilets so it’s much easier to clean now.

You don't need to do this when you live in a place like NYC where they don't have all those minerals in their water like they do in places like California. The tank stays squeaky clean.
I live in NYC I've experienced hard water lately. I've had to use borax in my laundry. The water kettle gets this brown ring on the bottom of the metal every few weeks. I have to use cream of tartar and boiling water to rinse it clean. It's not the same water like it used to be years ago. I'm getting a water filter.
I also like my toilet bowl water to be clear in any other color but clear. I do use a tab in my tank. Yes it can ruin your rubber gaskets their only a couple dollars and their easily replaceable if it ever happens.
Yeah we use bleach tablets which eventually erodes the $2 rubber gasket. When the toilet starts to run, my husband replaces the gasket. So he dont clean the back tank.

The flapper is easy to replace, but the problem with some toilets is that you have to remove the tank, to replace the valve seat. (i.e. from underneath).
The Blue is beautiful. But when you flush there is a microscopic spray. Children like blue to play in. Then there are the pets snooping around. It makes me wonder what the blue does to a septic tank. Not for me. God bless you and yours
You have to be careful if there is dirt in your tank. Because when you flush that dirt it will go down the thin draining tubes and clog them. If you clog them you won't be able to flush the toilet and that is going to be a real problem.
I bought some today and it came in a clear Ziploc type bag. It has a label I could print myself. Let's just say I wouldn't want to be caught with it anywhere that I'd have to explain it's only citric acid.
Do you have any tips for getting rid of those black marks at the bottom of the toilet that you cannot reach with a toilet brush. I know muriatic acid would get rid of them but I don't want to use that stuff. Great cleaning tips Thanks
Push a toilet bowl brush up and down so that the water recedes. Pour a cup of bleach or vinegar (NOT BOTH) in the bowl. Leave up to an hour. Get some rubber gloves on, if you like (I prefer without), then use a nylon scrubber and hand scrub until it all comes clean. Once done, flush away the debris. Also remember to scrub under the rim. I prefer not to use gloves, so that i can feel any texture on the surface. After flushing, wash your hands with the gloves on and leave to air dry. Then thoroughly wash your hands and use a nail brush under your nails. Repeat. Rinse, dry and apply a good hand cream.
Try vinegar, first ... get a 1/2 gallon of cheap cleaning vinegar from the dollar store, remove the water from the bowl, then pour it into the bottom to the correct level and leave overnight. This will dissolve any limescale. Then flush. If the marks are actually scratches, try some Barkeepers Friend (scouring powder) or similar.
I've always liked the blue toilet water, but stopped using those tabs because it started to leak from the bottom of the toilet, staining the floor. It most likely was because of a defective old toilet, but I replaced the toilet and haven't used them on the new one. They also sell the tabs in white.
Great tips bc bleach is bad for ceramic. The BON AMI - no bleach cleanser is Amazinggggggg on shower accent hardware and fiberglass sinks. Cleans better than bleach on fiberglass white kitchen sinks.

Use equal parts white vinegar and blue Dawn in a spray bottle. Spray on the doors let them sit a little while. Brush gently and rinse. it works great.
as a window cleaner who only uses dawn. this is awesome. lol

I live in Ca. Have never had this issue. My shower sinks and toilets have never had these minerals deposits that look horrible.

I also like my toilet bowl water to be clear in any other color but clear. I do use a tab in my tank. Yes it can ruin your rubber gaskets their only a couple dollars and their easily replaceable if it ever happens.
Yeah we use bleach tablets which eventually erodes the $2 rubber gasket. When the toilet starts to run, my husband replaces the gasket. So he dont clean the back tank.
@@awesomeblossom1 right! We haven't needed to replace ours yet it's been 8 years since we bought our house it has 1 bathroom with 5+ people using it ha ha ha daily. I'll stick to using the bleach tabs.
The flapper is easy to replace, but the problem with some toilets is that you have to remove the tank, to replace the valve seat. (i.e. from underneath).

The Blue is beautiful. But when you flush there is a microscopic spray. Children like blue to play in. Then there are the pets snooping around. It makes me wonder what the blue does to a septic tank. Not for me. God bless you and yours

You have to be careful if there is dirt in your tank. Because when you flush that dirt it will go down the thin draining tubes and clog them. If you clog them you won't be able to flush the toilet and that is going to be a real problem.

I bought some today and it came in a clear Ziploc type bag. It has a label I could print myself. Let's just say I wouldn't want to be caught with it anywhere that I'd have to explain it's only citric acid.

Do you have any tips for getting rid of those black marks at the bottom of the toilet that you cannot reach with a toilet brush. I know muriatic acid would get rid of them but I don't want to use that stuff. Great cleaning tips Thanks
Push a toilet bowl brush up and down so that the water recedes. Pour a cup of bleach or vinegar (NOT BOTH) in the bowl. Leave up to an hour. Get some rubber gloves on, if you like (I prefer without), then use a nylon scrubber and hand scrub until it all comes clean. Once done, flush away the debris. Also remember to scrub under the rim. I prefer not to use gloves, so that i can feel any texture on the surface. After flushing, wash your hands with the gloves on and leave to air dry. Then thoroughly wash your hands and use a nail brush under your nails. Repeat. Rinse, dry and apply a good hand cream.
Try vinegar, first ... get a 1/2 gallon of cheap cleaning vinegar from the dollar store, remove the water from the bowl, then pour it into the bottom to the correct level and leave overnight. This will dissolve any limescale. Then flush. If the marks are actually scratches, try some Barkeepers Friend (scouring powder) or similar.
Any ideas on how to clean a fiberglass shower? I am frustrated trying to find an easy way to clean the soap scum.

I've always liked the blue toilet water, but stopped using those tabs because it started to leak from the bottom of the toilet, staining the floor. It most likely was because of a defective old toilet, but I replaced the toilet and haven't used them on the new one. They also sell the tabs in white.

Great tips bc bleach is bad for ceramic. The BON AMI - no bleach cleanser is Amazinggggggg on shower accent hardware and fiberglass sinks. Cleans better than bleach on fiberglass white kitchen sinks.

I dropped denture fabs in my toilet bowl and they disolved the black stains I tried everything except the citric acid
