- Many weeks of training leading to my second ever Ironman, this time in Kalmar Sweden. I personally find the week before very exciting and nervous. With a lots of things to prepare you wanna make sure you're ready to go for the big day!

Dan, these are stunning videos. We met you and your wife on the train back from the Edinburgh marathon, and I'm really glad I found them. Must admit I've had a look at the results and looks like you've had an amazing year. Those marathon times are insane after 7 hours hard work (even if it's the only discipline you're not getting faster at... 😀). Congratulations.

The marathon times on a triathlon are a different ball game yes, you have got to be smart on the bike and not overdo it. Riding with watt helps a lot, and training of course. As discussed on the train...full distance is a slower race, it does suit me better. I've got Royal Park half in October in London :) where i am trying to run sub 7minute mile, i am already not looking forward to that hahah :) How's life treating you? Hope you're all good!
Hi Dan , Well done in Kalmar, super time , them Zwift sessions paid off, I was in London last weekend, stopped for a coffee after my swim with my brother, got chatting to a chap outside and what was he wearing , only an Ironman Kalmar hoodie from the weekend previous, small world , handshakes and stories were exchanged over a lovely cappuccino. Dont do Cork full distance, you are at the mercy of the weather gods, the Dun Laoghaire 70.3 that I did on the 19th , the buoys floated away the sea was that rough , in tyrone a month before , we had a months rain in the 3 hours we were on the bike, go warm , maybe its just me . again , great vlog

Sounds Like a plan , I have Lanzarote , Alpe D'huez and I hoping for another later in the year 2019 , really looking forward to the first two, Barcelona in 6 weeks , a flat course !! , but , yep, that would be awesome to race together. , somewhere warm ;-)
I love the anticipation of opening the bike case and hoping for the best after the flight. Great job at the race. 10 low is fast! And it looks like you crushed the bike. You're doing great and can't wait to see what you do next!
Aww thanks Matt, i am very pleased (spoiler) with the result and still see room for improvement. Lesson learned, it does help knowing the course :)
Oh sorry about the spoiler 😬 I totally get it. I film stuff in advanced and drop scheduled videos whenever possible. I should have known better.
haha no worries, ... the long distance ironman videos are my highlights and proudest moments... the edits tend to take a bit longer :)
