Jake has such good recoil control on that striker, when it doesn't even have vertical grip and muzzle, that's wild.
Man’s an inspiration to me for controller. Even when I see him use the combat ar back in ch3 s3 he had really good recoil controller
I completely understand anybody who just wants a solid, grounded, non cheesy ass, shooting game being upset. Because this no longer the case. But I still enjoy it, its well done.
There is Call of Duty for them.
I think activating into hover mode will always be pressing your "jump" keybind twice, regardless of what your "ascend" bind is. The ascend feature is just what propels you upward after you've already activated the jetpack. Thus you can't get around the green water problem since both the underworld dashes and jetpack are both locked to "double jump" to activate
I want to see less jet pack type mobility items and more mobility items like the blade or spidey gloves

@ToastedLater that's when I started playing, chapter 4 season 2. It was SO fun. Nothing too spammy, good weapons, and good mobility without being OP. The perfect balance imo

Yeah I feel you. Honestly this isn’t very easy to execute when I’m getting shot at I start to panicking and press the wrong buttons lol😂
But the shockwaves are so lame that only sweaty kids with video game boners want to put in the time to learn them.
Some of us are just playing for fun. The jetpack is easy and fun.
On a standard ps controller (no paddles) Without playing claw this is a lot more difficult.
That feeling when you start carpet bombing your opponents from above and they try to box and forget the ceiling is perfect

As a big fan of the mechanics on Cod :AW this feels amazing plus I never noticed the nerf.
i love this item so much, you can keep up with cars with these dashes, the pickaxe trick has been coming in clutch this season
Hoverjets remind me advance warfare. I prefer my battles on land

I played with the jet pack almost every game today and to be honest, if I didn’t see last night that there were nerfs I wouldn’t have known. That being said, I only use it for mobility. The dash slide that you showed us and also to just get some elevation. I’m old and it’s just not my play style to float around the air beaming people. So my daughters and I all still love the jet pack and none of us felt the nerf 🤷🏽♀️. I can however say it’s been extremely difficult finding it for a whole team 😂
Yeah I could tell straight away as someone who likes to get on top and shield or arsenal. I couldn’t stay up in the air as much.

After the fists literally ruining last season, im not impressed they introduced an unlimited hover jet. Its especially annoying in duo's.

@@xvgm24 Never used the gloves last season I prefer shooting my guns nice try though. Why don't you like the jet packs? Is it because you don't know how to master them along with your little bots. Maybe sit out this season.
@@noteverythingisaboutyou lmao you're not fooling anyone. I'd prefer the jet-packs weren't around but tbh I can see why the packs and gloves are needed for the growth of the game, to ensure people like you who don't wanna bother improving their skill have a chance to be able to win.
I literally didn't even notice the speed boost difference at all and didn't know it was nerfed until I saw this video. I like this season, especially more than last season, but we need more mobility. They should bring back the fists or nitro. Bring back the fists without the ability to hit people with it.
I think you should have to go to a gas station and stand on the refuel platform to recharge the jet pack. It's still super OP. If you encounter someone with a jet pack and you haven't been able to find one you are pretty much dead.

The Jetpack is ok I guess. I’d be happier without it though. I feel it’s overpowered whether it’s myself using it or the enemy. Although it’s a mobility item, I feel it’s just too op just as the magneto gloves, waterbending etc etc. I prefer to stand and fight rather than chasing each other around the map

With my custom key binds, the jet pack dont work great lol...
My left stick is crouch slide
My right stick is jump
I tap X to toggle sprint on and off...
Half the the time it works other half the time it don't ... the jet pack from OG i had no issues with.
I may need to change my controller settings quite a bit to get this thing to work properly, and its not worth the trouble in messing that up for me...
Been playing alot less fortnite anyways, so will just deal with it for season i guess lol
Why did they make the hover jets the way they did? It’s an absolute nightmare fighting against it when someone literally falls out of the sky on top of you. I place a shield bubble down they just dash in and out of it till I’m dead. At least for me, the visual audio is bugged on the hover jets, it doesn’t pop up. Anyway has anyone else noticed an increase in bots in matches? 3 of my last 5 wins in endgames, I’ve killed the medallion sweats and the last couple players were actually bots.

I completely agree with you. This happened to me several times players just land on me outta of nowhere with the jet pack. It’s kind of busted the fact that you can just dash infinitely. There should a cooldown or something

I barely noticed the speed difference
I bought an elite 2 controller and put 2 SCUFF paddles in and have crouch and jump bound to the paddles and doing this trick is a breeze.

The nerf was pretty unnecessary in my opinion.. for me there is not enough movement in this seadon (for my taste atleast)... I also don't like how the movement feels like gameplay wise.. I miss the nitro fuel and nitro fists, not because of the overpowered attacking aspects, I just thought it felt much more satisfying

Yeah I also miss them. Just because I can just prevé a button and be off, but with the hover jet it’s like I gotta reconfigure my binds and still practice the movement for it

Holding sprint doesnt work for me on the second one, do you continuously hold sprint and do the double jump/boost cancel/slide cause on the second set even with the momentum my character just STOPS sprinting even when held

Honestly, the jetpack is good but i am personally cooked without shockwaves
I always need some sort of "save yourself" mobility (Shockwaves) as well as fighting mobility (jetpack) and rotation (car)
for the longest time i didn't understand why i wasn't landing in a slide every time i descended, i thought it was a glitch on my game only happening to me. so thank you for that info! do you ever host custom games and invite streamers?
Good custom map where I can just run around and practice with the jet pack? The amount of deatbs from getting stuck under something from boosting too soon, or messing up the boost dash thing, is getting embarrassing lmao
I did map my jet pack to my X button in order to use green water, but it is still tricky since u do have to jump once to then hit X to hover.
Honestly I played a lot today and didn't even really notice. That being said, I didn't get a chance to play much pre nerf.

Hard for me to hold sprint bc I have it bound to L3. Just rather awkward for me to hold that down. Plus I feel like spamming it can lead to stick drift lol

The term bunny hop is used in a lot of different games (including Fortnite's very own Rocket Racing) for movement that constantly jumps to move, which the jetpack dash does

I only hate the Cap America shield at this point. The nerfs helped, but it made CQB fights kind of lame which was my favorite part of CH5S3, and the stagger doesn't last more than a second. This season did make shield bubbles relevant again, so that's been fun because last season they seemed kind of pointless.

He does one every season with all of his settings. He plays on a custom Aim Playstation controller with paddles so mileage might vary.

Yo jake (or any commenters), how do you use the jetpack and dashes separately? For me when I activate the jetpack I use always consume a dash before going into the jetpack. Anyone know how to fix?

Why does the jets not do the dash on xbox
Anybody else having problems finding them every once in a while i find the mythic gloves way more then the jetpack sometimes there be like 3 in a spot and then next game wont be any i had that with fists last season i opened up like 7 avenagers chest go to 3 poi went over and killed bunch players even medlaion player didnt have any i finally got one when there was 2 players left its annoying dosent happen all the time juat like here and there
