The character development in this show is insanely well written. I tried rewatching the whole series but couldn't, it's one of those shows. Already knowing everyone's fate and arcs was enough. Speaks volumes for how good it truly is.
Jerome’s biggest problem was always Louie. And I love Jerome but the moment where he minimises everything Franklin brought him as “blood money” and “bodies” on him, it quite literally didn’t make sense. He killed black diamond purely out of his own will for said blood money. Jerome was clearly very capable of putting Louie in her place, he just didn’t want to when it really mattered for some reason.
He did put her in her place, called her out on her bluff to leave him, but she actually did leave him for a while. He was prolly scared after that because he knew that the last thing he'd ever want is her leaving.
That woman didn't tear his family apart. He did what he was supposed to do Franklin was losing sight of what was important and she kept trying to tell him that. Franklin morals became very loose and that was dangerous for everyone involved.
Disagree. Ultimately the "family" startrd pushing a product that destroyed their community and made them rich. Greed spawned from it and this was the end result.

No. It's literally Teddy. Not one person the series would've became who they became if Teddy wasn't always on their backs with the threat of completely ruining or ending their lives. Just yall dislike a character don't mean they the villain. There's a clear antagonist. And it ain't her. She's a victim like Franklin and everyone else.
I feel like Jerome followed Louie’s lead blindly mainly because he felt responsible for her getting shot at the funeral. It’s sad because he never wanted anything to do with the game in the first place. Always a people pleaser til the end, RIP MR. TEACHYAMANHOWTOSQUABBLE
“Everybody got choices” - E40 It makes no sense that Jerome would allow Franklin, the nephew he raised, to get him into the crack business. It is typically the opposite. The older influencing the younger decisions. Jerome should have stepped up and said no. He knew better but did not do better. Franklin was a man at that point. Jerome wrongly put the obligation to protect Franklin further on himself and that is what got him killed ultimately.
Jerome definitely wanted out then! You saw it in his eyes once Franklin brought it to their attention of ending the dope business and go 100% legit as a family. But Louie wanna stay in the game, so it forced him into staying too in order to protect her.. But after that, he's been bitter and took his animosity out on the wrong folks when it should've been Louie.
If you ever are considering doing a video on a group of characters from a show like how you did for The Wire. You should do a video on characters from Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire. Two shows that have a lot of characters that would be perfect for a dark psychology video.
He woulda remembered his true position in the family & kept both of them in check. He wouldn't let their manipulation deterred him from being the person who kept the family together and in line.
Jerome wasnt evil... he just went through a lot worse than Franklin BEFORE crack even came into the picture. Oddly, Franklin was the most evil person in the crew with Louie a close second. Teddy was most evil in the entire show😅😊😊
Right! He was a simple man who been paid his dues from fighting on a real battlefield (Vietnam) and he was just about making his money, enough to where he himself felt it was enough, be done with it, and have peace in his life... But Louie "wanted it all.
