    Great video. Simple, straight forward, and blunt.

    This is a great fundamental video. One thing i would say as an amateur.. is to be aware of your limbs. I used to land like this and lean sideways and I ended up laying my elbow behind my butt one too many times. If you can avoid that this is great landing technique.

      Good question. It can go before or after, all depends on the athlete. I prefer weight training before track sessions personally. I’ll go into more detail on this in an upcoming Q&A video 👌🏿

      I’m not doing much long jump training as of now, BUT here’s a really good video that breaks it down from John Shepherd. Check his channel out, he’s get great content too 👌🏿

    How do you train to fight too much forward rotation?

    • @oolamigoke
      @oolamigoke  2 года назад +1

      Work on driving the free leg’s knee off the ground. A skips and High Skips into the pit help.

      Also, use your arms in the air to counter rotate, Dr Tom Ecker explains in his book, "Basic track and field biomechanics" a must read for ALL track people-coaches and athletes-it has pictures and everything showing ALL the concepts that are covered.
