    Years and years ago when Fry's was still a thing they were selling cheapo atx cases for 10 bucks a pop. I bought two. One I used for a media center build for a client, he just needed a computer for watching Netflix and such on his living room TV. The second one kept for myself for the same reason. It ran streaming services for the better part of 15 years until the power button started to stick on it. I finally replaced it with another very budget build a few years ago. I still have the case sitting in the basement should I ever need it again.

    trying to get Raijintek here in the US is hard. I did a build with a gold Metis Plus ITX case and wanted to do another in silver, but the chassis couldn't be found at a decent price, and there were no vendors offering the brand. Raijintek is basically sold in Europe and Asia.... but in North America, there is a gap. Come on Raijintek, get the North America Market going! WE need you!

    It depends. If you spend more on a high-efficiency power supply, you save money in power bills. Depending on the electricity prices in your area, spending more upfront for a better power supply might make cents.

  • @PileOfEmptyTapes
    @PileOfEmptyTapes Год назад

    6:04 That is certainly correct, but have you seen the recent JayzTwoCents vs. Austin Evans budget PC build-off? One power supply chosen was an F tier, the other an E tier, and I actually looked up what the other options would have been at that store location and found only a single promising C tier model with only a handful in stock. The choice for 500-550ish W ATX supplies was pretty abysmal. I mean, the market for smaller supplies has kind of been going down the drain even over here, but it's not quite that bad (yet).

    Yes, pair the right PSU class for the right build! While I would only buy the good value A-tier PSUs, my hardware is also expensive enough and power demanding enough to actually warrant them. For a Ryzen 5500 and RX5700XT build, that PSU should be alright. I personally would've gone to maybe a better quality 650W Bronze PSU, but the EVGA 500 BR seems fine enough.
