There's a number of recipe variations as well as stories as to the origin of the Sex on the Beach cocktail - so I don't know which to believe! I made them regularly 15+ years ago (when they were still on trend) and I would make them the same as the IBA (International Bartenders Association) recipe which was vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice and orange juice (see here: ruclips.net/video/d8tJn3OPGgE/видео.html)... it wasn't until uploading that video that a number of people told me that I was doing it incorrectly. So I went searching and came across many variations - this recipe is what I'm now referring to as my 'version 2' - it has the addition of cassis (or Chambord), pineapple juice instead of orange juice and is shaken instead of built.....and it's now my preferred method for a Sex on the Beach (not that I make many or drink this type of cocktail anymore!).
At the bar i work in we do another variation, its always a pain because you have to ask if guests want the Classic Archers and Vodka based one or our one which is Vodka, Midori, Chambord, Pineapple juice and Cranberry, its Definately worth a try, 25mls of all the spirits and 50mls of the juices if you are interested :)
I like your channel. I have made several of the cocktails that you have shown! Enjoyed them. I don't know why but some one will always bitch if it's not like the first drink they had variety is good!
I've been looking for a good Sex on the Beach recipe. If you say this is the best one, that's good enough for me! Also, luckily, I have a half bottle of Chambord handy. I've been using it in my Negronis and Boulevardiers where it balances out the Campari really nicely.
as my work as an bartender, i learn to do sotb like this, 3cl vodka, your pick, 2cl passoa passion, 1cl peachtree, 6cl orange juice, top with cranberry, orangeslice, starfruit slice, straw,
Because they go soggy? We get some good quality 3-ply ones... from what I’ve read, the biodegradable plastic ones still aren’t that great.. (depending which ones they are of course).
@@StevetheBartender_ yeah I've tried several from my supplier and searched a bit and all the paper ones go soggy if you take too long with your drunk, and some give a cardboard essence to the drink. I've had people tell me I should stop using plastic ones (referring to the biodegradable ones I get) because they can't tell, mine are made from shells of crustaceans 🤣 it might be because I'm based in the UK unlike you.

I dont know if it's called something different but I like to make this version but replace with spiced rum

This is one way to get a guy to leave lol it's a hell of a drink 😂😂 😂😂 😂😂 😂😂 😂😂 😂😂 😂
This is totally amazing. It’s just a different version. A total different version.
I prefer this version although it is pretty sweet - will have to try it with OJ instead of PJ too...
I’m just making a wild try. 😂
How about mixing whiskey with vodka or vodka and beer then trying something ? I’m definitely not an expert in this.
They definitely sound like some interesting mix ups! 😆
Didn't have peach snaps but had peach vodka! Was good!
Is it okay if I use Peach juice as a substitute if Peach Schnapps is not available?
Could do - let me know how it goes if you do try it..
@@StevetheBartender_ I'll try it. Thank you for letting me know.
@@alainchristienemendoza9982 How did it go?
Try to make the Pornstar Martini! All my female friends asking me for this one 🧐🤨😁
Ah yes!! Good suggestion - I added it to my list ages ago but don’t have any passoa on my shelves 😌
What???? I want to make that. I've recently became a bartender.

Fantastic tube video
Thanks Phi Phi!!
i did it with peach crown instead of the Schnapps and its amazing
With the Cassis its to damn sweet for my taste.
Yeah, it was a pretty sweet drink...needs some tweaking...pineapple juice is pretty sweet too so the combination makes for a sugar overload!
Replace the peach by Midori and you'll get it !
Yes, indeed. Looking forward to have the video on how to make maraschino cherries at home.
I’ve got 5kg in my fridge currently - they’re incredible!!
Hope you bring us that video!!
anata baka ka.?
Why paper straw and not plastic ??
Plastic straws are bad for the environment.. 🐢
@@StevetheBartender_ paper straws are terrible though, I buy biodegradable plastic ones for my bar.

Id rather use metal ones xD
