TROPICAL SUNRISE
1 oz/30 ml Vodka
1 oz/30 ml Melon Liqueur
4 oz/120 ml Orange Juice
.5 oz/15 ml Grenadine
Method
1. Pour the orange juice into a huricane glass filled with ice.
2. Slowly pour the grenadine down the side of the glass.
3. Mix the melon liqueur and vodka in a seperate glass.
4. Stir that with ice for 15 seconds.
5. Pour the melon vodka mixture on top.
6. Garnish witha lemon wedge.

That it is Doc, It's really good.
Basic rule of thumb. Higher the ABV/proof means lower the sugar content. Therefore more sugar means more heavy. So put heaviest on the bottom.
That would have been the easy way to describe it. But I sometimes struggle with easy :)

This looked gorgeous, of course, and based on my personality, definitely a sunrise. I wonder if people think of sunrises, does that mean they are more optimistic?

I tried to recreate this and it worked for the orange juice and the grenadine but the midori/vodka mix was compeltelly absorbed, even tho I used the same bottle of Midori and i amde sure to cool it.
Hi, it also comes down to amount of ice, and how fast you pour it.

Just got a recipe for a cocktail Silver Jubilee bitters ,gin Cointreau topped up with lemonade or soda water can you make an improvement on this ??

If the grenadine ends up sinking to the bottom, why not add the grenadine first?
That is a good question. You add the Grenadine later so it will mix before it settles. that way you keep the mixed part..
Sir can i use tequila Based instead of vodka?
That would definitely be worth trying.
What oranges did you use?
They were naval oranges
