@@Infamous1892 This show is showing us how the arrogance of the Jedi will grow to a point 100 years later the Sith just walk into teh Senate and take over. It's okay to not like the show. If you don't see giant issues with Disney's treatment of SW, then cool. Enjoy it as you will. But if folks point out real, logical problems with the story and canon and cite references backing their argument, it has a place in a conversation. But then the White Knights and Cope Kings come in and try to shame every person for having original thoughts and opinions on a show that don't match their own. But I'm happy for you as well because I'm not here to take your enjoyment away from you. What Disney is doing right now in their live action SW offerings isn't entertaining for me anymore. It's Star Wars reimagined as Twilight, with a bunch of LGBT stuff thrown into the story with no real point other than to shock and awe and force people into understanding that this is Star Wars now. It's not about a magical prophecy telling a Heroes' journey to redeem the sins of his father. It's a bunch of bitter pessimists blaming everything on men. It's about tearing down the idea that there can be good, positive things in the world to work towards and replacing it with the mentality of that life is always a bitter struggle of betrayal and getting them before they get you. And that it's always someone else's fault, never your own. I personally don't like that ideal or endgame for Star Wars. YMMV.

The ending of this video blew me away because I think Allen figured it out. IT IS QIMIR. But isn’t really. He is a puppet, hence why he is afraid of "the master". The master possesses him and others, the master "collects" people. Torbin was easily subjugated on episode 3, we know from the trailers that the same happened with Kelnacca. We also know that for some reason, both Kelnacca and Torbin are the most remorseful by what happened on the planet Brendok. What if ‘possessing’ Qimir, Torbin, Kelnacca is a way of perpetually binding these people to their master? Whatever this dark force user is doing - and I’m betting that’s Mother Koril - is scheming, it involves using people to do their dirty work. Koril doesn’t simply takes over Mae or Osha because they are their daughters, she wants them to succumb to the dark side just like her. I cannot fucking wait for next week.

The show is still ass . Disney alrdy cancelled season 2 because of the hate from fans . There’s a reason why Disney is getting so much hate . You seem like the 20% that actually likes the show while 80% of Star Wars fans hate the show
@@SenseiBluex Honestly I still don't understand why even those 20% people love this show, I have seen a lot of people pointing out why they hate and i think many of those opinions are very valid. I'm watching the show and Alon videos about Acolyte but mainly for my own ''research purposes''. I wanted to like this show because of time period... The Show looks like its trying to tell something interesting but quickly falls flat in every single episode. Otherwise love Generation Tech content !
I had a thought watching Episode 4, when Qimir brought up how Mae has tried to snatch sabers in mid-battle and she said the whole "Kill a Jedi without a weapon" was more of a riddle than anything. I'm wondering if instead of meaning "Kill a Jedi while Mae is unarmed" it means "Kill a Jedi who is unarmed (a Jedi without a weapon)"? Though it could also be a whole metaphor, meaning that she will destroy a Jedi (I'm betting Master Sol) by revealing the truth about what happened in Brandok (perhaps something that even Sol doesn't know yet) or forcing him to confront some other revelation that would cause him to leave the Order, thus "killing a Jedi without a weapon". They seem to be leading to something along one of those lines, since they keep bringing that line up and continue building toward SOMETHING happening on Brandok beyond just what we've seen so far.
I agree. Whatever happened on Brandok hasn’t been fully explained to us or I believe the Jedi Order as a whole. I think Sol and the others covered something up. Those witches didn’t die in a fire, they clearly hadn’t even been burned yet. It wouldn’t surprise me if one of the mothers survived and is the who Mae calls the master. She knows of the dark side but isn’t a Sith. Because whoever “Master” is, has a clear grudge against the Jedi but more specifically the Jedi who came to their coven that night. I think “kill a Jedi unarmed” means kill a Jedi’s will to be a Jedi or connection to the light. I agree I think the Master wants the truth of Brandok exposed which will “kill” Master Sol’s will. My theory is the Jedi could have saved some the witches and elected to only save the Mae and Osha and left the witches to die. And I suspect not all of them died.
@@wesley8616 Not necessarily. It could just mean something that is so devastating to that person that they just leave the order entirely, possibly even cutting themselves off from the Force.
@@LeeWilliams-ve8rj I believe that the if the Master isn't Qimir, it's Mother Koral. The show made sure that we saw Mother Aneseya's body, but I didn't see Mother Koral anywhere. I could see a scenario where she survived and saved Mae. The only problem I have there is why, if that were the case, she would not have revealed herself to Mae.
I have tried explaining the fact the Jedi haven't had any real threats which is why one died at the start etc etc but people are just saying oh they are Jedi they are trained for lightsaber combat and just miss the point
It's the same with traditional martial artists nowadays. You have like a hand full of schools actually teaching how to fight with that stuff, that use regular sparing against resisting opponents and techniques that are become obsolete are sorted out, where the people training it actually can fight and then a vast bubble of schools just teaching dozens of forms, without actually understanding what those were meant for in the first place and just focus on aesthetics, instead of practoicality and then get their asses handed to them, thinking they can fight, by just doing forms alone. People who train to fight properly are better fighters, no matter what practical style they prefere using and people who don't train how to fight, can't. Simple as that.
I think Qimir might be The Apprentice. I'm pretty sure we have seen only seen The Apprentice. I have a feeling The Master has infiltrated the Temple and is posing as a Jedi. The Apprentice working with assassins and acolytes makes sense.
An un-named Jedi rushing into a lightsaber fight with a Sith Lord is like Guy on Galaxy Quest: "I'm not even supposed to be here! I'm just "Crewman Number Six" -- I'm expendable! I'm the guy in the episode who dies to prove how serious the situation is!" 😅

its one thing to be fair, but he seems to have no criticisms of this show whatsoever. i have been thinking qimir is the apprentice of the sith duo, poseing as the master to mei and grooming her into being his acolite ready to become the apprentice when he strikes down his master
It think the Tracker has something to do with the DarkSider, first he disappears, second, he's at Kelnaccas house seemingly doing nothing. Another thing is that Kelnacca seemingly died without putting a fight, he was just sitting there death, unless The Darksider surprised him
Nahh the impression I got is that the tracker was just busy sniffing and didn't realize the jedi lost him. That's why he was there, basically waiting for them to catch up. Although that would be a very interesting turn of events, I don't see much payoff to something like that
Qimir's name sounds like 'Chimera' to me, and him being so pushy to get there before dark is like he doesn't want his other form to be prematurely revealed

Excellent review. Keep up the good work, it is very appreciated. Personally, I suspect that Mother Aniseya could be the darksider. Her body was not with the group of dead witches, and Sol kept Osha from going to her body. She may have been faking her death. Not seeing Mother Koril's body could just be a ploy to make us think she survived. Remember, always to the darkside hatred leads.

The same way the fan base is acting now is the same way y’all acted when George was creating the prequels saying that he was ruining what Star Wars was by making it more political and having controversial characters like jarjar like this is always been the problem the fans have always thought they knew more then the creator
I've done a little HEMA and Gum Do. I've always been suspicious of the form lore. It feels like a video game mechanic. The fighting in SW is so fantastical to look fun(I mean not based in reality even after if we accept lightsabers and powers) that logical assessments of these forms and their applications is play acting. it's like comparing the distributed ion hyperdrives of star ships, or like professional wrestling disciplines. unrealistic measure

I dont think I have ever heard that Anakin was an Ataru practitioner. I mean outside his training and the few moments just before he is defeated by Dooku when he is using the two sabres. Guess you learn something new everyday.
Anakin started out form 4, then he learned and mastered form 5, then he refined his form 5 and integrated the offensive acrobatics from form 4. In the end, Anakin had mastered his own take on form 5 djem-so combined with form 4 ataru. The final move he uses when he loses in ROTS is ataru, in fact. None of this is obscure info. Anyone that's lookes into saber form lore has come across it.

I cannot fucking wait for next week.
this is why im still interested in this show , its easy to come up with theories, but non of us know exactly what's happening. That's exciting :)

I will be surprised if they can land this thing... but who knows? I do hold out some hope.

Oh! Very interesting thought I’m curious now myself
Do you mean turning a Jedi to the darkside?
Other channels are making fun of Generation Tech's Acolyte coverage. Never thought I would see that happen.
“All these Jedi aren’t named…last time that happened” lol 🤣🤣🤣🪦
I have tried explaining the fact the Jedi haven't had any real threats which is why one died at the start etc etc but people are just saying oh they are Jedi they are trained for lightsaber combat and just miss the point
They aren’t real fans , if they can’t comprehend something so basic in Star Wars lore.
Mae:Qimir::Asajj:Dooku
She’s the apprentice’s apprentice, and one of them is screwed, especially if the main master is plagueis.

At the beginning of the episode, I called them "redshirts".
There are still lifelong Star Wars fans who aren't rabid haters that really appreciate your honest approach to this show. I like the High Republic books/comics and really like the show so far. Expressing that opinion has gotten me a lot of hate and called a "fake fan" and worse. Keep on doing this good work Alan! It makes me feel less alone in this Fandom.
These so called haters( who are the fake fans), never grew up during the 1990's, when we were happy to get anything Star Wars.
Also Star Wars always had bad writing in their novels, and force feats in comics tend to be outlandish.

its one thing to be fair, but he seems to have no criticisms of this show whatsoever. The director of this show does not know Star Wars and not only is creating issues with canon (like all of Disneys new directors) but story wise the character writing is so bad it is laughable especially with all of the overtly obvious political agenda comments throughout the show that detract from what Star Wars is, or at least it could work it were more subtle. there is a reason this show has a 20% audience score. its not good and just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I want to like it I do but Disney makes it hard. Wish people got to grow up with clone wars and the older movies and not have bias to what they are seeing now.

I love how freaky Darth Smiley looks. Love it ❤
It think the Tracker has something to do with the DarkSider, first he disappears, second, he's at Kelnaccas house seemingly doing nothing.

Hehe, i see what you did there
Qimir's name sounds like 'Chimera' to me, and him being so pushy to get there before dark is like he doesn't want his other form to be prematurely revealed

Personally, I suspect that Mother Aniseya could be the darksider. Her body was not with the group of dead witches, and Sol kept Osha from going to her body. She may have been faking her death. Not seeing Mother Koril's body could just be a ploy to make us think she survived.

I think it's fine to point out when things are bad. Some of these disney products have had MAJOR flaws. But with this one, I've seen very few. People are definitely overblowing it bc it was written by someone on the other side of the culture war
I appreciate your analysis of the series with an open mind...it's refreshing. I just kinda feel as though you're giving them more credit than they deserve (from a story/writing/planning standpoint)
The same way the fan base is acting now is the same way y’all acted when George was creating the prequels saying that he was ruining what Star Wars was by making it more political and having controversial characters like jarjar like this is always been the problem the fans have always thought they knew more then the creator
The second we saw those other Jedi my wife said "oh good they brought the red shirts."

Anakin used Form V, not Form IV.
Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn used Form IV
Anakin used form IV(Ataru) in AotC, he switched to and mastered V (Djem So) during the clone wars after his loss to Dooku
I dont think I have ever heard that Anakin was an Ataru practitioner. I mean outside his training and the few moments just before he is defeated by Dooku when he is using the two sabres. Guess you learn something new everyday.
@@claymclaren5788he used Form 4 and 5. He modified form 4 for blast defense as seen in Rebels
