- Jedi Master Shaak Ti might not be your first choice to head the cloning operations of Tipoca City. She's a powerful Jedi who shares an intimate relationship with nature, putting her at odds with Kaminoans more scientific focused endeavors.

The fact that the clones were technically child soldiers is extremely overlooked but should've been explored in the show. They were physically in their mid-twenties by the end of the war but only 13 years old. Their mental immaturity isn't seen except in extreme cases like Wrecker.
It is seen though in a lot of cases. A lot of clones in the early stages of the war just charged the droids head on, even if they could have taken cover. In Bad Batch, this clone conspiracy episode had this one clone who was on Rampart´s ship when it destroyed Kamino. He wanted to confess to the senate and openly addressed his will to do so to Rampart. That´s pretty naive. Only a few examples but you get the idea.
Sure, there are very mature and battle hardened clones like Rex and Cody.
Jedi use Child soldiers themselves, they dont care
Lmao i felt i was the only one who felt that way whenever i see anyone reacting to clone wars on youtube i always fell compelled to mention that in their reaction videos
I always feel like it’s the heavy-weapons clones that have the most immaturity. Hevy, Hardcase, and of course, Wrecker being the most prominent
This is an extremely naive take.
Maturity is a result of upbringing and experience, not age.
It's why in 2024 we have a bunch of millennials who behave "like they're 12" at 35 years old.
And in 1800 12 year olds would have behaved "like they're 30"
In Legends, the reason no Clone went to Shaak Ti's chambers was because none of them had the stomach to execute her. Before the Clone War, they caould bust a cap in any Jedi no problem. But Shaak Ti was like a mother they never had.
I was always under the impression that the clones had no choice but to kill the jedi - it was implanted in their brains
@johnnybaxter1953 Like they said, this was in Legends. Legends often portrays Order 66 as having either little or nothing to do with behavioral modification or inhibitor chips and instead being carried out simply as a result of loyalty to the Republic and sometimes animosity built up over the war at the Jedi due to them mostly not being used to being generals and usually being pretty bad commanders at first. Look at Star Wars Battlefront 2, the original one, in the Rise of the Empire game mode for examples of this. Like how the clones say they were glad they were wearing helmets when executing Aayla Secura because "none of us could bear to look her in the eye."
Just like Aalya Secura in Bf2 “It’s a good thing we were wearing helmets, because none of us could bare to look her in the eye.”
@@dr.veronica6155 I kind of like that explanation more tbh.. I think they just wanted to take away the clones agency because knowing that they chose to execute their orders instead of having no choice makes it a lot more tragic and sad. But it also makes it much more poignant
without the chip, 70% of clones would rebel against palpatine
It has to do with Shaak Ti's sense of empathy and compassion. It's easier for the Clones to respect her than it is for a Jedi like Mace Windu.
She also has like the most on screen deaths. Stabbed by grevious, stabbed by anakin, bested by starkiller, and killed on kamino.
Yeah, the worf if you will. I remembered the many deaths of her and was like "dang they really didn't like her"
@@Matt-md5yt didnt like her or didnt know what to do with her
All cannon btw
Don’t forget the Lego ones too 😂
Plot twist, she cloned herself 😂
I now see why Shaak Ti didn't fight against the clones during the Raid at The Jedi Temple. She trusted them to do right by the Jedi. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced & she did not figure Anakin into that mindset.
Also by her 7th death she was pretty blase about the whole thing.
@@RorikH My personal head canon is she is the only person in the Star Wars Galaxy that can jump dimensions. Meaning she will quantum leap into another timeline soon.
@@GRIGGINS1I understood that reference.
I always felt like the idea that Obi-Wan somehow made the wrong or non-Jedi choice by choosing to help Coruscant rather than Mandalore made no sense. Either way, a lot of innocent people were going to die. But Coruscant being lost or horribly damaged would be really bad for a lot of people who aren't on Coruscant itself. Meanwhile, Mandalore had spent the entire war shifting between demanding the Republic f*ck off and leave them alone, and desperately begging the Republic for help with their own issues. There was no world in which a rational person, Jedi or no, would have chosen to help Mandalore over Coruscant in that situation.
well he wasnt chosing to help corosaunt he was choosing to help palpatine over mandalore
Pretty sure satine got something to do with that
I like the theory that the Kaminoans kept the Clone Army secret for so long because they didn't want their client, the Republic and by extention the Jedi, looking over their shoulder.
Now, Shaak Ti is there and they can't just kill off clones that are seen as failures.
Really makes you wonder how that hunchback clone got to be kept alive because he looks like an older gen clone.
@@MultiRokusho99
@@MultiRokusho he was probably examined and studied and then Shaak Ti shows up
Not just Shaak Ti, but the other Jedi's who treated the clones are like parent figures to the clones.
Anakin was immature as well he acted like he was 9-10 instead of 19 years so that’s why I think he got along with Asoka plus the clones so wll
Not to mention the fact the clones were slaves & Anakin used to be one
Rex: hahah General Skywalker committed war crimes again good one General @@kittycat0876
@@kittycat0876 Yeah this was always weird for me. No slavery in the Republic except their army and everyone but Senator Chuchi was cool with that.
I think that there are two types of nerds. The ones who watched the films hundreds of times and even know every word, and there is there type of nerd, which are so much in the theme, they can look behind the canvas.
Really cool and interesting to see that, just beautiful.
I’m not a native english speaker, but I hope you know what I mean
Anakin must be the fun older brother 😂
Ahsoka is the little sis that they protect but ends up being the protected
Obi Wan is the responsible father figure who's just as trolling as Anakin
I’m a huge fan of Shaak Ti since TFU. Also in TCW she is badass. I hope she’s still alive.
Actually funny you should say that because she is famous for having multiple deaths
One in a deleted ROTF scene, one the force unleashed where she is killed by Galen Marek, and the canon death, where she was impaled by anakin's lightsaber while meditating in the jedi temple during Order 66
One thing that always bugged me about the Clones themselves was their conseption. Obiwan never figured out who was really behind the sanction of their creation, (other than a missing Jedi was named as the benifactor with no prior knowledge or authorization from the council) but he and the council were just like, "heck ya we'll use this army that basically fell into our laps to fight droids. We haven't seen war in centuries but I'm sure it'll be fine. What's the worst that could happen?"
Apparently, Shaak Ti's mission to protect Chancellor Palpatine during the Battle of Coruscant is still canon, which raises the question of why she specifically was sent there. Her posting on Kamino seemed almost permanent.
Shaak Ti Was practically Jedi Master Yaddle but for the Clones
Yes, Finally! This was my question, he’s talking about me! Generation Tech’s take on why Jango Fett’s polar opposite in many ways replaced him as head of training!
I’m writing a Fanfiction set just after the Battle of Kamino with Shaak Ti as one of the protagonists and her arc has her struggle with how her role has led her to care deeply for the Clones to the point she wants some payback for Kamino. She considers at times to even transfer from Kamino to keep herself from falling to the Dark Side, but ultimately with the help of some Clones decides she would rather struggle with this balance between her feelings and position as a Jedi rather than completely destroy her ties to the Clones. Think of it as an explanation why she mostly follows protocol during the Order 66 arc, but at times deviates such as wanting to deliver the chip to the Jedi Temple and initially believing in Fives.
The story would also contrast her to her predecessor, Jango Fett, through the eyes of some Clones. Readers will see how the Clones initially respected Fett, but lost that respect in him after his betrayal on Geonosis and the discovery he never cared for them. This leaves them quite open to the compassion of the Jedi, especially Shaak Ti to the cadets and allows the Jedi and Clones to become so close.
Where is it posted and what is the fic’s name 👀
I too would like to know where this is posted and its name.
and if you follow this line of thinking her as a Mother figure it make Order 66 even more horrific because one day without warning her "sons" turned around and gunned her down in a blink of the eye
So you're saying she's mommy?
she is 100% mommy
Canon Shaak Ti: wise, capable, maternal mother
Legends Shaak Ti: Died, murdered, unalive
Shaak Ti is like the Kenny McCormick of Star Wars.
The fact that the clones are children is overlooked waaay to often in star wars.
Think the clone commano books do the bast with that idea
Walon Vau never could get it out of his head that all his Clone Trainees were essentially children. It's one of the reasons he was so tough of them since, to him, they'll never be adults at heart because he will out-live them naturally. So, he was going to make damn sure his kids would survive as long as possible even at the cost of them hating him to the point they would want to kill him.
Shawl TI is very capable and nurturing. A lot of Clones saw her as the Clone Mother.
There has to be a Star Wars: Visions kimono out there somewhere.
Another thing about the clones I question on every Clone Wars rewatch is the Moralo Eval prison break episode, he’s basically running the prison kingpin style with the ability to bring Obi to his cell and then send him away and hints he has some influence of the republic guard troopers as if they can be bought or something…it’s a very intriguing concept that I would love some more context on at some point
You remember when cut up was telling his story of how he was hitting on a girl in clone cadets and fives pointed out he’s never even seen a girl?… I believe that story was 100% true and the girl was shaak ti who was humoing him
🤣
That is actually a funny idea.
Shaak Ti was Posted with the clones because it takes one to know one.
Don't believe me? All of the depictions of her MANY deaths are Canon. Shaak Ti is the secret example of Jedi force sensitive cloning experiments.
Simple.
Cloning, dark science, secrets only Sith knew 😉
This video has made me see even more how an invasion of Kamino was always doomed to fail.
Not only were the clones fighting for their home, they were fighting in front of their mom.
Shaak-Ti didn't do her job as carefully as she could've. The clones were manufactured. She needed to bring in experts to analyze their construction and determine how they're programmed - sure they're biological. Why are they all designed in a certain way and break that down to scans of their form - then she'd see the control chip and unravel the code.
On one hand she saves units here and there; on the other hand, her failure led to the deaths of many Jedi, clones etc. Shaak-Ti was well over her head and had no idea. Even in the end, I doubt she know this.
You might want to double check your lore there were female bounty hunters and mandalorians that trained the clones. Shaak Ti was well knowledgeable about her people and their customs as were several other Jedi like plo koon
Quote
“As hunters, the Togruta showed off the pelts and teeth of their game as a sign of pride and maturation. Special pride was taken in the teeth of akul that a Togruta had taken down as an individual. These teeth often were made into jewelry such as an akul-tooth headdress or a necklace, which also incorporated metals, stones, and pearls found on Shili. Other Togruta, such as Shaak Ti and Ahsoka Tano, wore the Togruta sash with their Jedi apparel. Torgruta spoke the Togruti language, which had a few elements of Basic.”
That was Legend though, not the new canon. We have no hint of the Cuy'val Dar
8:02 The Mother send’s Her Children off to War
Incredible Humanistics
Good work
To be fair Obi Wan decision was absolutely logic, i mean, Coruscant is the center of the Republic, the Jedi order and trilions of people, the Sith Empire did the exact same thing during the sacking of Coruscant and basically win the War, with the Republic forced to follow the treaty of Coruscant causing immense devastation on many republic and non republic worlds.
If you control Coruscant you control the Galaxy, its simple and i honestly hated Ahsoka's behavior in this instance, her ignorance was baffling, Mandalore was Nothing compared to Coruscant Obi Wan was right, Ahsoka sounded like a teenager who throw a tantrum because she didn't get what she wanted.
She was 17, that's basically what she did.
She was 17
And she was raised by Anakin who threw tantrums too
shaak ti is what the buick regal was intending to portray.
Shaak is the embodiment of a single turbo V6
Thanks for taking such care while talking about my favorite character 💓 GREAT video!
Shaak Ti is my wife till I die and she was so graceful walking, If I had a device to jump into the Star Wars world I'd save her and bring her back here

Why didn't I see Boba in Andor
I wonder if Omega ever met Skaak Ti, they were on Kaminno together
Great video as always 😊😊😊😊😊
Luminous beings are we.
Two cards from 2015 Topps Star Wars Chrome Perspective: Jedi vs. Sith set list her height as 1.78 meters, but her Databank entry and Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Character Encyclopedia - Join the Battle! correctly list her height as 1.87 meters.
Dam she’s tall
I like to think that the 2d clone wars show is still canon and her first encounter with General Grevious scared her so much that she refused to fight on the front lines again for fear that she'll run into the General again
whenever they need to place the blame on someone they use Shaak Ti.
She may be seen as the mother of the Clones, but to me she will always be a mommy
Very nice
Short answer: Because she is awesome.
Makes me wonder if shaaak ti treated her padawans in a similar manner.
Why doesn't kamino have more sea life
What did the dolphins do? 😂
Thinking about why Kaminoins Didn't go after boba because he was in jail . But why couldn't they visit him and take some DNA.
Maybe emperal prison policy.
But . How fast was prison system to change. And why Didn't the writers put Boba in Andor
Why would they? Star Wars is big. The Imperial prison system is big. It makes no sense to run into familiar faces often.
So I says to her: Baby, you and me could really...
Mace windus sudden temporary trust in Anakin failed him.
If this is the case it makes sense that Shaak ti found her way to Felucia in the Force Unleashed. Such a vibrant and huge ecosystem on the planet that works with the native Felucians
Did Ahsoka’s mother going hunting with her baby by herself annoy anyone else?
It did. Ahsoka's mother was not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Hey Alan big fan here. Since you love Star Wars have ever considered making your own Star Wars movie ?
Also according to google translate the force smells like cabbages for some reason.

The togruta are very heavily based on a romanticized view of the native americans and other more "rudimentary" cultures....... But really they are VERY VERY similar to the Swedes. They try to live a lagom life style and treat nature with a high regard and degree of respect and love and do not let corporate entities over take the natural beauty of their world and they put a heavy importance on the mothers and women of their society. They might have been gunning for "space based native americans" but the ended up with "alien Swedes"
Dolphins' evil? hard to say.. I mean they're friendly for the most part to Humans but yeah, they are not the kind of critters you want to make an enemy out of because they are Ruthless.
aaaahhh Shaak ti, the motherof a thousand deaths
a new set?
The most I got from this is, dolphins are evil??
Caminoans? Kaminoans? Yeah I don't think they see any species or clone as deserving of equal respect 😅
Hey Dolphin friend here . 🙃
👍👍
9:43 actually more mace's steadfast belief in the senate/republic failed him
So effectively being a member of her race and living on their home world allowed Ahsoka to perform the force boop & tame a saber tooth. Is that what made Shaak Ti so effective training clones she gave em all a force boop at birth. Or was it the fact she was feeding clones black market Ewok meat. I mean that would certainly make me compliant that stuff is tasty as hell.

Jedi Master Shaak Ti is definitely one of my favorites of the Jedi Order. She just always seemed to have that vibe of discrete badass-ness. Even her name, to me, sounds like a stage name she adopted early in her life while performing as a Jedi-Gangster rapper.
"Villains try to get at me by creeping through the night, but I've already sensed them coming and cut 'em down with the light.
Try to snipe me out with a blaster, and if you don't straight miss, I'll send the blast back at you, make you a dead piece of Sith."

In any sci-fi verse, anything human-oid will eat meat and muffin. Good god, we are perverts!
Palpatine gets too much credit as a mastermind. The grand plan was put together by generations of Sith. Palpatine didn't come up with it all by himself. I mean come on. He was defeated by Vader who picked him up and threw him into a pit, and by a block spamming Rey. Plus many of his decisions made the Empire vulnerable.
He actually stole the plot from his master.
Technically yes , but he is the one who orchestrated the war and Anakin's fall + Order 66 , The Sith imbalanced the Force to make his plan easier , but it is still his plan .
Vader by ROTJ was near Sidious's level of power and caught him off guard , and Rey was channeling the power of every Jedi in history to do anything, so your examples of him losing aren't good ones
It makes me curious if Shaak Ti ever got the chance to meet Omega off screen?
I bet she did, though she might not have known she was a clone. Most people didn't, not even the other clones.
I like to think she did.
Since Omega never asked about Shaak Ti, it could be very well she knew her. But didn't understand her since no clone of Jango's was ever Force Sensitive (potential or otherwise) until Omega.
Well, she was a better choice than Luminara that is for sure. And she treated them like Padawans and actually had good military bearing.
