The first one is my favorite! The colors, the effects you get with the color shaper - love it so much! Btw, I know I'm not alone in liking longer videos. Those 10 - 15 minute videos are just annoying - it's like people have no attention span anymore. The artists have to cut out so much, you get no sense of process. And we'd miss out on the way you explain your reasons behind some of the things you do - like using extender filled paint to pick up the ghost prints. When you're teaching a process, you can't rush it. Judging from the way your audience is growing, you're doing just right!
I really enjoyed this video, Fulton! I love watching you using brayers & now I love the painting of the tissue papers! It’s magical the way it all comes together! Although it isn’t magic, it’s your knowledge of all the materials & how they interact with each other! I’m so glad you pointed out how you make the “donuts” & how they show up in your work. I noticed that you used primarily Amsterdam paints & I wondered if it’s because they go together so well, in harmony, so to speak? In other videos I’ve seen you use 3 or 4 different companies’ paints, so I know it’s uncommon for you to just use one kind of paint. (I know there was the SoHo green-blue, I think that was different?) I really like the endings when you slowly show us the close-ups, they seem to be 3-dimensional, even though they are not! Thank you & I hope you are having a nice week! Erica❤ Do you get your squeeze bottles from Amazon? Thank you!❤
Fantastic idea for creating tissue collage material - the black is so dramatic! I really enjoyed the color combinations you used for the pulls. I love that Amsterdam naples yellow red 😊.
I love these newest prints! The colors are outstanding!! Time disappears while watching you work. I, too, enjoy watching the long videos, so please don't apologize for the length. You are a joy❤
Been following you for a long time now, sometimes I cringe when you put down the collage paper 😖 but you are the Artist and got the eye for what your piece needs the results are always amazing and fabulous🤩… love the turquoise piece with the pewter… thx 🎉
Love your long videos, and I get so immersed, the time just flies. You keep pushing the envelope with great results! I didn't want you to add the orangy red paint to piece 3 - I loved it as is - but then you won me over, as you always do. You are helping me to become more fearless with my choices! Gracias from Mexico!
Hi Fulton, so happy to see this video. Watching the step by step process and listening to you is always valuable, interesting and very enjoyable so no need to worry about how long the video is. All these composition have unique character. Yes, the last work is extremely beautiful to me too. Thank you and sending you blessings always.🙏🏻❤️❤️
Another very enjoyable video. Surprisingly, I'm loving #1. Usually the final pull is my favorite. I was wondering how you were going to bring #1 all together, as usually you do that with collage, but after collage it was still needing something. The colors and the shapes you painted over the collage made me fall for it ❣️ Great video as always. Thanks.
Thank you. I appreciate seeing the process from start to finish. Please don't apologize for longer length videos. If necessary, I can stop and return to finish it at a later time. It was very interesting to see how each of the black tissue collage papers served to create such vastly different impact on the prints. I would appreciate learning more about your thought process for choosing and combining particular colors in your works.
Recovering from surgery your videos are a real pick-me-up, this collage, mixed media piece is so bright and cheerful. The orange, blues and bold black really appeals to me. A real masterpiece. Do you frame these behind glass? Now watching the second piece being put together, the orange background and donut shapes are stunning!! Very bold contrast. Love your creativity and thanks for sharing. Now watching the third…amazing!!
I guess time flies when you're having fun! I was enjoying the process so much, I didn't notice how long the video was. Especially when you lost yourself in the first piece. You got very quiet and I knew you were totally immersed. I really like that one. And all of them! Hearing your comments about your affinity for donut shapes, I'm remembering exactly when I fell in love with round shapes. Walking Bodhi Dog one morning, I noticed sunlight glimmering on the ends of the logs in our wood pile. For some reason, it was one of those magical moments. I switched from linear to round, organic shapes after that- first in watercolors and now acrylics. So I'm wondering where your penchant for circles and donuts comes from?
When I was very young my dad enrolled me in a classical Chinese painting class. One of the most difficult and rigorous lessons I remember was how to paint tiny circles with a fine brush on rice paper. I must have drawn thousands of them before my stern professor even gave a nod of approval! Later in life I learned the deep symbolism of the circle ( called enro) in Japanese Zen Buddhist philosophy, it represents the universe , completeness and the cyclical nature of life.
@@artwhisperer88I love the Circle in my art too, I used to practice enso as much as I could as a meditation. Must get back to it. A strange story when my friend passed away a few years back… her fav image was also the circle. I woke up the morning after her departing and I had a very fine metal circle in my hair!! She def was with me and saying a special good bye. To her circles were about the circle of life. Loved this video Fulton. ❤
I'm learning so much about colleges and applying print on it from your videos. i have watched lots of videos about collages but none of those worked for me.
Something I have found when using tissue paper, when I want it to not have wrinkles in it, I lay 2 down at the same time and they almost always don't wrinkle. I separate the two once they are attached to the plate. There are times I have forgotten to take the second one off and some paint would get on it. I love your prints!!
Wow these are all delicious😊 Thank you Fulton for so much information, and it was definitely not too long. Watching you work while having my breakfast and coffee is the best way to start my day........Alioban ❤
Les 4 sont superbes !.. je suis toujours subjuguée par ce que vous réussissez à obtenir avec ce juste équilibre si difficile à trouver pour moi… merci pour ce rayon de soleil 😍
@artwhisperer88 one of the exhibitions was, I think, the 2012 and the other was his very last one. I have a feeling that he never completed it. I have never seen such amazing painting.
I'll have to watch this again....and again. Your compositions are amazing. You should try Toddy paper filters for collage as they become fully transparent and almost disappear
Had a go at this but the black came out of my tissue paper and I managed to make something that looked like pigeon droppings.......so, back to the drawing-board! 😂😂
I love when the leftover bits get picked up in other prints.
I love you and your work. Your calm and quiet approach appeals to my Wabi Sabi being.❤
All of these wonderfully successful - my faves the last two. Great session - Love the effect of the color shaper - thank you!
Just wonderful video and artwork!! Thank you!!❤️🙏❤️

Unusually so, but #1 was my fav today. The longer videos are no problem for me. ❣️
What I like about the longer videos is knowing that Fulton does not have to waste his time editing things.

Do you keep your brayers in plain water between use? Or a solution? Then just wipe them before next use?

Coffee filters, for Toddy coffee system, Walmart, Amazon. Other coffee filters work also.

The black tissue paper has a matt and a shiny side. Which side do you print on?
