Chand khan and suraj khan, a beautiful duo. Still remember heard them singing Sanwal morr mohaaran, o God, i was in Awe, very trained and disciplined singing, with the ease of performing different murki and harkats. Literally missed his brother here.

Here’s a rough translation of what I understood and what I heard from a much clearer recording of his father:

Tohe bina mohe kuch na bhaaiye,
Yeh deena sandees re,
“Go to the beloved’s land,
Without you nothing pleases me,
Give this message”
Taras rahe hain, Daras bin naina,
Ek pal bhi na, Aye chaina,
Lag rahi hey duhkiya man pey,
Kuch yadoun ki thes
“They yearn without having seen you, the eyes,
Not even for a moment, does peace come,
Grief is infecting my mind
Trauma inflicted by a few memories”
There is one final “بند” at the end but I exhaust my sanskrit there, I hope this helps!

I've heard him sing a lot. He and Sooraj Khan, I don't know if both of them are brothers. But they are not justifying the name of Sham Chaurasi Gharana. Personal opinion only.

Bhai I believe he is of Sham Chaurasi Gharana. His father Ustad Hussain Buksh is Ustad Salamt Ali Khan's brother in law.

Chaand Khan is Son of Ustad Hussain Bakhsh Gullu Who is Brother in Law Of Ustad Salamat Ali Khan... And Chand Khan's Brother Sooraj Khan Is Also classical singer ..

@@TheDreamJourney 🙂..I am happy that I could identify the raag. Being untrained in music I can only identify raag desh and raag megh Malhar. Is there any technique with which I can identify raags of songs?
@@ayeshapattnaik5346 it is a bit of a long process. Most of us still struggle with it after 30+ years of listening to classical music. Basically you first need the taleem of the ascending and descending notes of the raagas but then we also need a good ear and a sharp mind. Easier said than done.
