I love how Brenda's daughter stayed positive even though her mom was dying in front of her,and she guided her mom to her dream, even though it was "impossible",all respect for Brenda's daughter
I think the saddest part about this song is how broken the little girl looks. She has to live with, I presume, her mother slowly losing the ability to move every part of her body. Not only that but she puts on a brave face every time she's facing her mother but then she looks away and she looks despondent. And then by the end of the song, she can't even do that. I feel so bad for her.
@@margiepjiarker5839 I think your mistaken, if you watch the animation again it shows that she had a frown and after the little girl (I think its her daughter?) told her that she can dance in her head, she started to gain a small smile but I might just be seeing things

@@untaljuandeahi-lg2uh yes but 4+3 is 7, so the paralysis is 7 universes ahead in total, so it is more, for I said “I am 3 paralysis (pun intended) universes ahead of you” which also equals to a + b, and in this term, the paralysis is b.
Theory: So I've seen comments about the thought of Brenda being the woman who "left" George in 100 years. As seen in the music video we can see George who was at a very old age under the tree with his daughter and his grandkid. His daughter also has the similar hairstyle as Brenda's own daughter. There's the part where George danced with the women in the stage theatre, indicating that she may also like dancing, and Brenda has danced her whole life. From looking at Brenda's state, she seemed to have passed away at quite a young age, maybe around her 30s or late 20s (I don't want to assume anyone's age). There's a big possibility that when George sang that when she left him, it could be indicating that that "woman" left him because of the reason she passed away. I did some comparison with Brenda's and the woman's hair, both their bangs are swiped to the right. I could be wrong at some points but this is what i think. Feel free to reply for anything else I missed out on the similarities or possible hints. also, I love Kel's little dancing. That was adorable.
I think something that strengthens that theory is the fact that at the end of george`s song he acts like he knows brenda and that he`s surprised to see her. (sorry for any mistakes I`m from another country)
i actually think not bc the woman George was dancing with wasn't dancing tap and she also had a different hair style also also wouldn't george be on the hospital while her wife is literaly dying and how did her daughter get in the hospital room alone?
This womans taking dance till you’re dead to a whole new level. Edit: Wow, 4k likes, didn’t see that coming. It even has a spelling error and no one tried to correct it. Thanks.
I just love this. This gives so much inspiration, and I can’t stop watching it. Her daughter does care that she’s dying ,but tries not to be sad ,but you can see her worried in some clips. But she tries not to ,cause she has hope. And also she knows that her mother loves dancing and tries everything to fulfill that dream of hers because she doesn’t want her to be sad ,and she is just so sweet doing anything she could to help her with dancing. Like first her legs were paralyzed ,and the mother started to give up. But her daughter pushed her up ,and said she could still dance with her hands. And the ending where she loses everything her daughter says she can dance in her head “and just as she said, the mother’s still dancing though She’s dead.”it’s just so touching and makes me want cry almost and I’m not the type to cry at videos like shows ,movies ,music ,etc. But this- this is just so heartbreaking and heartwarming, it’s sad and happy. Thank you to anyone who read this long comment of mine 😊
I have a "timeline" for all this. 1892: George is born 1903: Dave is Born 1910: Brenda is born 1912: George meets his (soon to be ex) girlfriend 1916: George is drafted into WWI 1918: Dave learns to draw 1920: Brenda learns to dance 1928: Dave gets a job as an animator 1929: Brenda starts her dancing career 1930: Brenda has a child with an unknown husband/boyfriend 1932: Brenda discovers her disease 1945: Dave dies of unknown causes [48] 1946: Brenda succumbs to her illness [36] 1952: George dies of old age [60] 2009: Kel is born 2019: Kel's grandfather dies of cancer 2020: Brenda meets Kel, and teaches her perseverance 2020: Dave meets Kel, and teaches her [IDK] 2021: George meets Kel, and teaches her to move on. EDIT: Messed up a date
The WW1 was between 1914 to 1918, but good timeline, it could be that George was drafted to WW2, and he was born in, uh, don't know, 1904 or 1902? maybe 1900.
Wait if Brenda was born in 1910 and George meets Brenda at 1912 wouldnt Brenda be 2? And if she died at 36 at 1936 wouldnt she have been born in 1900, because if she was born in 1910 she would die at the age of 26, not 36..

When I first heard this song, I thought it was just a catchy tune. I love doing martial arts, and one day I decided to try wrestling for my school. I was having a great time, until my first actual game where my opponent broke my ankle and tore ligaments in my ankle. I had to get surgery and was told that I’d only be 90-95% back to normal. I was depressed for a while thinking that I would never be able to go back to martial arts, but my doctor said I should be able to. I was feeling hopeless in my life, until I stumbled upon this gem again. I actually started tearing up a bit, to be honest. I never thought I would be able to relate to this. This song has given me the motivation to try to go back to what I love when I fully recover. Thank you Or3o and thank you for reading this comment.

Okay so two things… first that little girl is one of the most wholesome people on this planet second.. THIS IS THE SADDEST UPBEAT SONG IVE EVER HEARD🥺❤️💯
I realized the title of this video can go two ways 1. As most people see it, as I’m she is still dancing even through all this trouble 2. Then there’s two, which is she is dancing still, as in she is at a standstill, dancing while not moving, *still dancing*
tbh,my thoughts are that Brenda was his lover and they had a child together. But sadly,Brenda died from her disease. If you look closely, the woman in 100 years oddly looks like Brenda with her hair down. And the woman with the old man George looks like the little girl in the video.
This really is everything that this could possibly be. Everything is done as perfectly as possible. Bringing back Swing, it’s not old and slow, it’s electro and new. The animation fit the time PERFECTLY but still use modern animation techniques while keeping the rubber hose. Characters are LOVEABLE, backstory is fleshed out SMOOTH with the songs! (I also just love swing and 30s animation *cough* pfp*)Amazing job! I couldn’t recommend this ‘series’ enough

Not AT ALL what I was expecting for this character, but holy crap that was worth the wait! So glad to see this project continue! (Side note, I had a theory that Brenda was perhaps a speakeasy dancer, and probably the most likely of the ghosts to have been murdered in life. In the end, idk if the theory was darker than what actually happened)
ツNP not sure exactly, but I assume that all of the ghosts are from the roaring 20’s era. In the 20’s organized crime was all over the place, even if most of it was just fighting prohibition. A female dancer, stereotypically speaking, seems to me as a likely target for murder. I’m not sure if there’s any real world basis to that thought, but that’s were the idea came from.
@@OfficalVSDRBrenda’s Daughter: If you can’t dance in your head, then dance in my heart instead. You can dance, dance, dance. Always dance, dance, dance. And if your body shall rot, still your dancing shall not. You can dance, dance, dance. Forever dance, dance, dance.
This song is very inspiring, as it talks about someone who wanted to what she wanted to do, but due to a disease, she couldn't. Her child helped her learn that she can dance no matter how she does it.
Because of her AMAZING DAUGHTER! Imagine how the daughter felt watching era mom slowly die, but she kept up her mood, and kept motivating her mom until she died.
Jurassic Anna Disease: stop dancing woman Her daughter: *uno reverse* Disease: *uno reverse* Daughter: *uno reverse* Brenda:it kept on going till I died. Dave:..... George:... Both of them:Chile, anyways so-
Brenda's daughter is a real one, sticking by someone afflicted by what seems to be ALS is tough both both parties, but she made it the best it could've possibly been
I just thought about it but she died quiet young- she would have been at most in her mid thirties if her daughter was that old but most women had kids young at that age so she might even be younger but her daughter seemed the same age through out most of the video I.E when the disease was taking over her so lets say shes in the late thirties since it probably took a couple years for it to effect her so much that she passed away so she would have been in her late thirties when she died which is kinda sad seeing she kept pushing so hard to fight her illness and never lost hope even if she did die...
Even as a person with no conditions, this really inspires me because even though slowly dying, the mother and daughter handle it to the very end. When the mother passed away, she seemed to accept that this was how she would die and she wasnt afraid of it. I look at people daily, and for those who are afraid of growing up, dont be. Its a natural part of life you can never stop, so dont worry about the future, and worry about right now. You see plenty of old people, and they hold strong though worn down by time. Let go of the things that you know that you cant stop.
This supports my theory that I commented on the “100 Years” MV. My theory was that George’s ex lover only broke up with him because she had an illness. She didn’t want him to be sad because of it so she left him, hoping that he’ll move on from her (obviously he didn’t... cri...). She died early so even if George waits for her to come back, she couldn’t even if she wanted to (cri harder). When George finally met Kel, she was crying so to comfort her, he brushes his hand on the top of her head. Two hands covered his and he looked up to see two more ghosts. Stunned, he saw Brenda and Dave. Brenda was the first one to reach for his hand and he was still in shock. He slowly reaches for his other hand to envelop it in Brenda’s but Dave reached for it in a friendly manner. So WHAT IF Brenda is his ex lover? He was so shocked to meet her again that his world stopped for a moment. In this song, “100 years”, his ex lover was seen dancing like she doesn’t care about the whole world around her and encourages George to do the same. Brenda’s description in another video was that she is a dancer! Brenda was also said to be sassy, strong, and forward, someone who George can easily fall in love with. Another theory of mine is that George’s ex lover was pregnant but didn’t tell him. She died (a few years) after she gave birth and after generations, Kel is either her and George’s grandchild or great grandchild. Hence Brenda’s daughter who was comforting her might also be George’s child. Idk I’m just looking into it too much.
I have the wholesome theory that the father of Brenda's daughter is George, mainly because of her everlasting positive attitude in the face of hardship, and indirectly, George was able to support the woman he loves despite not physically being there. It's pretty obvious that the woman George loves is Brenda, who left him to presumably pursue her dancing career. I imagine that, shortly after, she discovered that she was pregnant with his kid, but due to all her new responsibilities and maybe even because of things like George going to war and stuff, she wasn't able to get into contact with him and died shortly after. Either way, I love the idea of the stories of all the characters being connected to each other, like Kel being the granddaughter or some equivalent descendant of Brenda's daughter, and that daughter also being the one who helped and encouraged Dave because she liked his work; possibly even marrying him in the future before he died.
She is and her name is Susie. She is also the grandmother of Kel in living on. Don’t ask me how I know this, because the info was from another comment.
This storyline is so heartbreaking, yet so uplifting. Seeing all of the characters face hardships yet move on to become stronger, even after their lives are over, it's such a strong message. The music is also spectacular, electroswing really does bring new life to this 100 year old genre. This song in particular almost reminds me of All Eyes on Me, but it also shows how much you have improved. You do such great work on this music, continue to do it, we will keep on dance'n to it!! Edit: Oh my gosh it has only been two hours and this comment has more like than I've gotten on anything before! Thank you all so much! And thank you OR3O for the heart! It means a lot!! Second Edit: Nevermind, OR3O left... but thank you all again!! Edit 3: Now I know about the whole edit takes away the heart thing, thanks for letting me know!! I'll be more mindful of that next time!
Alright theory time- George’s girlfriend was Brenda and Brenda’s daughter is the woman that helps George to the hospital in the end, the father being George. George’s girlfriend is shown to be a killer dancer who’s eyes happen to be hidden along with the daughters. Perhaps Brenda left George because she didn’t want to burden him with a child when they only were dating, which is why he was confused when she suddenly left him for no explainable reason. That or she left because of her disease? Plus the woman who helps older George looks like an adult version of Brenda’s daughter. In the future when they are ghost, the first person who grabs George’s hand is Brenda, to which he then looks her up and down as if she’s familiar. He reaches to hold her hand with both of his hands but is stopped by Dave. This is all happening on the lyric “every little thing here makes me think of you.” In Brenda’s song as well she dances with George first as a ghost. Just some food for thought.
It could be, that Kel is also a decendent. If Brenda is George's girlfriend. she also might have had to leave to pursue her dancing career and he wasn't able to follow? That seems a bit out of character, but he might have had some serious obligations, like a sick mother he had to take care of. Then she found out she was pregnant while they were separated and didn't want to pressure him to follow, so raised the child on her own with her dancing until her daughter was 8ish(?) And Brenda's disease started to claim her. Later, the daughter comes back to live in Brenda's old hometown, start her own family, eventually be there when George has his heart attack, and they find out he secretly knew Brenda all along, and they tell him how she died... so he dies. Although George's love didn't wear her hair in a bun, but we also can't rule out that in her teenage years she wore it down! Also, maybe wolf will turn out to be the Grandson, if this is true and they are all family? He has sort of that tuff of hair that sticks up in front like the kid. I also sort of thought he was the old man who died at the Start of Clover's story, but I'm not sure.
well, they're only ghosts because they had some ounce of tragedy and regret in their lives. If George met her again in the afterlife and it happened to be that she really didn't like George and left him because she didn't like him, or if she left him for something like that, it would be very unhealthy for George no matter how much he would say otherwise. The best path for them would be to get over their losses and move on, and having the whole reason for your regrets in life right in front of your eyes would really not help. Also, it isn't confirmed that the little girl is her daughter, it could be symbolism, being that it's her when she was a child. It could be She was still holding on to that childhood wonder and love for dancing and that wonder is what pushed her to not give up and continue pursuing dancing even if she was held back by the sickness. Buuuut it obviously is her daughter lol.
I introduced this banger to my sister some years ago and she fell in love. She had a chronic, lifelong neuromuscular degenerative disease, so it hit very close to home for her. I just realized that each of the ghosts pulls their strength from a different source. Here, we see Brenda getting hope from her daughter, George keeps going for love (even after she has left), and Dave's drive comes from within. In the end, they all truly had their own unique ways to help Kel keep moving on.

Das so true :o
1892: George is born
1903: Dave is Born
1910: Brenda is born
1912: George meets his (soon to be ex) girlfriend
1916: George is drafted into WWI
1918: Dave learns to draw
1920: Brenda learns to dance
1928: Dave gets a job as an animator
1929: Brenda starts her dancing career
1930: Brenda has a child with an unknown husband/boyfriend
1932: Brenda discovers her disease
1945: Dave dies of unknown causes [48]
1946: Brenda succumbs to her illness [36]
1952: George dies of old age [60]
2009: Kel is born
2019: Kel's grandfather dies of cancer
2020: Brenda meets Kel, and teaches her perseverance
2020: Dave meets Kel, and teaches her [IDK]
2021: George meets Kel, and teaches her to move on.
EDIT: Messed up a date
The WW1 was between 1914 to 1918, but good timeline, it could be that George was drafted to WW2, and he was born in, uh, don't know, 1904 or 1902? maybe 1900.

Ah yes a intelligent one
Little girl: *i raised that girl*

“If you can’t dance don’t you dread, you can still dance in your head” the wisdom of this child!!
This storyline is so heartbreaking, yet so uplifting. Seeing all of the characters face hardships yet move on to become stronger, even after their lives are over, it's such a strong message. The music is also spectacular, electroswing really does bring new life to this 100 year old genre. Alright theory time-
George’s girlfriend was Brenda and Brenda’s daughter is the woman that helps George to the hospital in the end, the father being George.
So I watched the video and I saw that Brenda went over to Dave willingly and let go of George’s hand
What if Brenda didn't actually leave George and George meant that Brenda died and left him this way(death)
well, they're only ghosts because they had some ounce of tragedy and regret in their lives.
I was literally just thinking about that
Disease: There is no other way to dance without your whole body.
Little girl: There's three more, actually.

I introduced this banger to my sister some years ago and she fell in love. She had a chronic, lifelong neuromuscular degenerative disease, so it hit very close to home for her. Thank you so much for creating such a resonating story/song. She passed away two months ago, but I'm grateful that she got to listen to it before then ❤

This song seems like the team's way of saying that no matter how much 2020 tries to kick you in the balls you can still find a way to have fun.
Weather that was intentional or not, it's still epic. 10/10
Amazing statement there
I listen to this every day and it's so beautiful!!!!!
This set of songs is really helping me cope this year. A lot has happened. I'm kind of like Kel, losing a loved one and these ghosts are the stages I'm going through. I love her even when we're not together, I'm still dancing despite the thoughts stopping me in my tracks and I feel motivated to move on. Thank you! You're the best! Hope these songs keep improving. Though I have no money or skills to animate, you can chat with me if you need other help. I'm here. And I wanna help!
@CLAIRE WARD It does. even the smallest things can make an impact.
1st im so sry u lost someone close to u (personally i believe in heaven so i believe that someday u'll see them again. but that doesnt mean it doesnt hurt ♡)
and 2nd i love the wholesome loving energy over here
I'm terribly sorry for you, and I hope that you can shine bright in the dark. Have an excellent rest of your day, and let the good notes flow like the rhythm of your favourite songs into the days to come.
Lmao
I am so sorry for your loss and I wish the best for you. I hope your day and everything else is bright, and that you keep dancing!
The child (don’t know her name): *no dad*
Le fandom: GEORGE GET OVER HERE!!
Saying it right now, I think the theory could be possible, but idk
fandom: it is true!
me: i think she didn't have a dad only a mom..
Isn’t she from 100 years song?
Lonely potato chips I think so
Lonely potato chips as im thinking, i think it might be the girl from 100 years, her name is Kel.
I just realized that each of the ghosts pulls their strength from a different source. Here, we see Brenda getting hope from her daughter, George keeps going for love (even after she has left), and Dave's drive comes from within. In the end, they all truly had their own unique ways to help Kel keep moving on.
No matter what her daughter kept just having her dance she's like oh who cares mom you can still dance even though you are paralyzed it's sad but super heart warming
Brenda: physically can’t dance
Girl: *we don’t do that here.*
