@@CreeksideMaplesHomestead it was a bit freaky to watch Tony put the roof on the barn at the old place & this seems to be a larger roof, so please ask Tony to be careful & I will have both of you in my prayers. Take care & talk to you later.

Hi Tony and Joanie, 💘💘💘💘
Hello Yvonne. ❤️
That is a lot of work. 35 yrs. ago I installed t-111 on my two story house by myself . I slid the siding up the ladder for the second tier. Its definitely not easy.
Wow Robert, so you can understand the process and the pain. Thanks
Keep yourselves healthy. Get some help with the roof. I enjoy your videos. Happy New Years.
Happy New Year to you my friends. Have a great week and thanks.
Great job guys! So sorry y’all are having to work in such cold weather! This New Year will be better!

Thanks 👍
This was a very good video yall.
Thanks Jesse. We try. Lol.
Good video and job. I feel for you all the cold and lifting it up by hand OSB is heavy . Hope you get roof on before snow. Take care ,be safe and well.
Thanks John. It’s coming along slowly one day at a time. Have a great day.
Lines on the outside will give you a better guide for the fasteners
Thanks Mike. I usually put the lines out for nailing but with all the rain we have been getting I turned it the other way because of the extra resin on the smooth side. Hoping it will shed water better.
Great job! Happy new year my friends!
Thanks Remi. Happy New Year
Please don't over do it guys much love to you
❤️❤️
Amazing progress 👍👍
Thanks
YOU REALLY HAVE DONE A LOT IN 3 MONTHS TIME. I CAN'T IMAGINE YOU GETTING INSIDE WITHIN 3 WEEKS THAT JUST SEEMS LIKE SOOOO MUCH WORK FOR TWO PEOPLE AND AT SUCH HIGH ALTITUDE TO PUT RIDGE BEAM PLUS ALL RAFTERS.
Thanks Jackie. We are getting it done. You will really enjoy the next video. Have a great day.
@@CreeksideMaplesHomestead yes I noticed that Joanie said that it was December.

We are. Every day. 😊

Happy New Year guys🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Happy New Year to you 🎉
I need to ask a question? Why is the plastic on the outside of the first run of OSB and under the next run of OSB?
Great question Rebekah. I ran the plastic outside the lower run due to a bunch of rain that came in. We tried to keep the wood protected as best we could. It wont stay there. We will remove it.
Looking great. Are you all going to be running electricity soon to the place? Or you doing solar and heating with wood?
All solar and wood heat. But I will still put wiring in as well. We will need it to run the power in the house from the solar.
So have you moved the tent “into the house” yet?
No. We changed those plans. We are going to keep the tent where it is so we have more room to work in the house.
If I was closer I'd give you guys a hand. Hope you guys have a roof over your heads by now!
Thanks. We appreciate that. We are getting closer every day to a roof being done.
Hello my friends!
Hey hey dear friend. Hope you are well. Great hearing from you. ❤️❤️❤️
-17° eeeeesh. 😬
We have been spoiled with mild temps here in NS.
Someone needs to donate some scaffolding.
Yep. It’s been cold. But we are seeing it warm up some now. I found some scaffolding a friend of mine had. Sure makes life easier
Hey there another beautiful NB day! How do you like a battery powered framing nailer? Like how long does a battery last shooting 3.5 inch nails? I am thinking of getting one but they are a pretty penny! Keep the videos coming as I started watching you guys since you were in NS.
Howdy and thanks for watching. We appreciate it. I love my Milwaukee nailer. I can work all day on the same battery. It drives the 3.5 in really well. Two reasons I went with Milwaukee. 1. All my other tools are Milwaukee and 2. There is no ramp up delay with the Nailer. Dewalt and the other brands have a ramp up delay. Milwaukee drives the nail as soon as I pull the trigger. Have a great day.
Thank you so much for the info! Have a great day
Is it normal to not have snow right now?
We are very lucky not to have a foot of snow on the ground.
Your vapour barrier is on the wrong side for a cold climate.
Thanks so much. I put the vapour barrier on the outside temporarily due to two days of rain. I guess I was trying to protect it. There is some underneath the OSB as well. So tired of the rain. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great week
Dave is right. The vapour barrier is supposed to be on the inside of the insulation. I see from one of your latest videos that you have already learned that.
