- After changing the oil in the camp site I make my was to the Bungle Bungles, but first I have to get down a 70km dirt tracks with a lot of river crossings to see something I have been wanting to see since I was a kid.
More camping and testing how well my Royal Enfield does in deep water.
Well Joe, what can I say?; thank you for bringing us so much of this wonderful country. Your a legend buddy
Thanks mate, glad you are still enjoying the series, the next episode gets interesting.
Cool, I'll look forward to it@@freewayproject

I’m loving your adventure Joe, it just gets better each episode and the photography is always the sweetener at the end of the show. Top notch 😄
Thanks Peter, definitely in an amazing area now
Joe your like a kid in a lolly store 👍👍 Enjoy the BACKYARD, BEST Country on Planet Earth
Ride safe 🏍
Yes, it’s full of wonders, amazing seeing stuff for the first time and this is only half the national park, i checkout the other half next time
Just beautiful Joe. Thankyou once again.
Thanks mate, it is a stunning area. I still have the other half of the National Park to exploring in the next episode and it turns into a very long day 😂
Amazing Joe , thank you for taking us alone with you , loving the water crossings and the Himmy just plodding through.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it, yes the Himmy getting the job done.
Joe thank you for sharing. I enjoy the relaxing down to earth way you produce the content. What a beautiful area to visit.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. Yes it is a stunning area,I still have the other half of the National Park to explore next week.
You've convinced me Joe. I travel a lot OS, but the next big one will be in my back yard. Probably the most inspiring ep yet mate
Glad you're enjoying the series, I have also traveled the world a lot, but our back yard is pretty special as well and definitely worth exploring.
Thanks you I greatly appreciate the support.
What a PRO! You made those water crossings look easy. Except the ending scene LOL. Loved those barking owls, never new they made that noise. Take care.
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it, yes well next episode things get interesting 😂
No I hadn't heard them before either.
What a fantastic day you had,the scenery was amazing and the photos were beautiful, thanks for showing all these places, I look forward to the next episode 😁

Mate, I love this adventure, each episode is great, love the photography, and just love the style of the RE, just getting you there, and just keeps on going!!!
Thanks for the continued support mate, glad you are still enjoying the series. Yes the RE just keeps getting the job done.
"Money shots" everywhere - so good.
yes no matter where you point a camera it is stunning. I still have the other half of the National park to explore and make my way blackout through the water crossings.
Beautiful area. And funny thing those barking owls. We get howling coyotes at night you have barking owls haha . Thank you for the beautiful videos and photos
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it, I think I'd take the barking owls over the coyotes when camping in the wilderness haha.
I am not sure if coyotes are aggressive? or if they are like dingos and will try steal food and one boot.
@@freewayproject never had coyotes do anything . Can’t even see them 99% of the time. They are there and you know it but that’s it. Sure is scary the 1st few nights when starting to camp though.
now..thats a days ride...gorgeous country, as we head into winter here...keep up the great video's....good work, Joe
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed that one, it is a stunning area, I still have the other half of the National Park to explore and its becomes a very big day on the bike.
Enjoying your series Joe.
Bungle Bungles looked great.
Can’t wait to see what you do with your photo collection, you take some great shots.
thanks mate, I am glad to are enjoying the series, yes still trying to work out what to do with the phots.
Another fantastic episode! Great ride in and even greater destination. Thanks for showing us this area.
thanks for the continued support Neil. glad you enjoyed this one, I think the next one would also be worth watching. Yes this area is amazing and the ridding is so much fun.
Challenging ride, but what a reward in the end!
The places is amazing and there is still the other end of the National Park to come next week. The ride in was a lot of fun.
looks like a beautiful area & the water crossings look like so much fun :)
It's hard to explain how beautiful it is Selena, just incredible and unique. the water crossing were fun a little deep in parts but all good. Thanks for watching
Mary Pool is very popular, and in fact you arrived on a relatively quiet day. Nice spot though. More water there than I have seen on various visits. Great presentation, again 👌👍
from the map I had I thought it would be just a patch of dirt and some trees 😂😂😂 yes my assumption was way off, best to never Assume. But yes was a good spot to camp non the less.
Thanks, glad you liked the episode.
Absolutely brilliant.....yep a must see experience...thank you for the great footage an motivation , cheers mate
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the continued support, it is a stunning part of the planet.
Joe - a great series mate just watched all of series 2 over the last 2 weeks - so I am new to the channel and now I will be catching up on your previous series
Nothing is an issue for you mate so hope the bike survives the crossing
Great places great photography well done on your solo adventure
You make it look simple but thanks for the time and effort you put in to bring these amazing places
Thanks
Dave
Thanks Dave, glad you enjoyed the series so far, next episode gets interesting 😂.
It is an incredible island to explore so diverse.
What a beautiful reward after a challenging day getting in there. Beautifully captured Joe, stunning photos as always.
It is an amazing place, stunning scenery everywhere.
Stunning scenery Joe. One of the best eps I’ve seen from you. The joy you felt exploring the gorges came across though your eyes. Thank you.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the episode, It is an amazing place, definitely work exploring.I still have the other half of the National Park to explore and still have to get out through the water crossings again, lets just say it turns in to a long day.
Mate, absolutely been loving this series, that photography was next level! I've got a himmy in the driveway and im very inspired to plan a big trip now!
Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying the series. Great to hear you have a trip being planned.
The next episode will be a lot of fun I still have half the National Park to explore and I still have to get out again
Joe, you take an amazing shot 📸I look forward to them at the end of all your videos!
thanks Foxy, I am glad you are enjoying them, it does help being in amazing places 😁, I think the next episode might have one or two decent ones.
That's some pretty cool stuff right there.
Barkin owls....Awsome
Yes that area is awesome. Yes I had no idea owls could bark 😂
Interestingly what you call a causeway is a "ford" in NZ, as in one would ford the river. A causeway for us is a road which is built between islands, Cook Strait is a bit deep just in case it got you thinking.
Hi from NZ,
Anthony
haha, yes I think I would need more than a mask and snorkel to make it across Cook Strait. Well thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure when I am crossing rivers in NZ I'll say I am about to ford the river
That’s another destination put on my bucket list.
Just wanted to say that it’s been 3 years since my last big trip on the bike and your videos have me inspired and planning a trip for next April when I have holidays.
Thank you 🙏
definitely worth being on the bucket list, and there's still more to come.
Awesome to see another trip planed
Joe, what an awesome country you have, incredible locations you travel, wow if money was no option this is the place I would travel to without thinking twice, seems like trying to have space in remote areas are getting hard to come by, enjoy your trip Joe, look forward to next video. Rob
Thanks Robert, glad you enjoyed it, this island is definitely worth checking out if you ever get the opportunity.
The next episode will be another fun one, I still have half the national park to explore.
I so much look forward to your next upload.
I live in Newcastle Australia and look forward with great excitement to buying my own Himalayan and doing just a little of what you've accomplished.
I loved the "us" reference being you and your camera. Your only companion. You'll have to name it Wilson. Haha.
Keep tracking mate. 👌
Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying the series.
They are great bikes to explore on, mine seems to get me though everything I ask of it and keep tractoring along.
haha yes it Wilson it is.
Wow Joe, bloody amazing stuff, must go to Bungle Bungles, yes must do, the Himmy sure is a tractor on 2 wheels !! great video & amazing photos, cheers mate…
Thanks Rodney, glad you enjoyed it, yes Bungle Bungles is a must especially as I have only check out half the national park and I still have to get out of there through the water crossing again. Yes the Himmy definitely just keeps tractoring along.
Yes I have a 2021 Himmy, will be riding it more when back home, currently at the end of a few weeks in Bali riding scooters in this crazy place, was fantastic fun as I doubled my wife for the 1st time in many years, we are both 74, so now I am going to see if my Himmy is a good doubling partner … cheers mate
So worth the effort to get there mate. Truly other worldly.
Yes the place is stunning, and a lot of fun getting there
Just brilliant doing it on a sensible 450! Good story.
Thanks Jeff, great to hear you enjoyed it.
Great shots of the eagles skydancing.
They were spinning as they fell out of the sky.
@@freewayproject Very likely to be playful courtship - www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2006/07/06/2041996.htm
Fantastic video! Thanks and keep them coming!
thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it, the next episode should be fun I explore the rest of the National Park and still have to get out through the water crossings again, lets just say it turns in to a long day.
Another great video! Makes us now want to visit and travel Oz on bike.
Thanks mate, there is definitely a lot to explore on the bike, I think you could go around ten time and still discover new places.
Epic journey - love each episode and looking at getting a himmy now to add to my RE meteor ❤
I look forward to each episode. You do such a great job and your style is very relaxing to watch .
Thanks for the continued support, I am glad you are still enjoying the series. Well adding a himmy will give you different options, it will be awesome.
What can I say, 😮 totally awesome.
It is a remarkable place.
The Bungle Bungles are on the bucket list....
definitely should be on everybody's bucket list.
Awesome as usual Joe, love the way you capture the beauty of Australia by scenery and wildlife.
Thanks mate, glad you are still enjoying the series
Stunning as always, thanks again for sharing your story.
Thanks mate glad you are still enjoying the series
I dunno about 7 crossings joe , more like 17 😅😅. You did well mate , this maybe my favorite ep so far 🤷♂️❤.as always very inspiring for me , I’m off for a ride 😂😂safe travels mate 💪🏼👍👍👍
Yes I think I stopped counting once I got to about 15, maybe they were referring to how many crossing there are normally when there has not been rain?
Glad you enjoyed the episode, I gather you'll like the next one then.
amazing ride and really great Pictures! Thx!
Yes it is an amazing area to ride in, and such a stunning landscape.
Thank you mate,absolutely stunning 👍
Glad you liked the episode, it's a stunning area.
Great vids mate, thanks for sharing 😊👍🏼👌🏻
thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it, I still have the other half of the National Park to explore and make my way back through the water crossings, let just say it turns into a very long day 😂
Thats magic mate and so is the backing music track .10/10 Joe✌.
It is an amazing place to explore, and awesome to get to explore with no one around, truly amazing.
Hey Joe. Those water crossings were fearsome, and stunning scenery. Hat off to you Mate and an underrated... Just awesome!. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration. Cheers from your NZ fan.
Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying the series it is a stunning unique area. Hopefully I'll be able to do some water crossings in NZ soon, but I gather it will be a bit easier to see the depth in your pristine clear river and creek crossings.
@@freewayproject Hey Joe, I'm planning a trip to Sth Island this season, and thinking of trying to find a route to Blue lake.. if thats possible but definitely Lake Tennyson. I live in the Upper nth Island.. Whangarei, if you want somewhere to do repairs and regroup, look me up. Cheers Simon
@@simonmills2375 Thank you for the kind offer, I will see how I go with planning (just starting), if there are any other dirt roads, tracks, trails, locations to explore, camp etc that you know of I would love to know. I'll check out info on the Blue lake and Lake Tennyson. Thanks you again. Simon.
You said this week's video was going to be good and it was . Roll on next week. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, next week has a lot happening, should be interesting 😁
Just discovered this i live in the UK this is a great way for me to see Australia. Barking owls wow never herd of them . That would scare me.
Glad you're enjoying the series Peter, yes barking owls are a little strange to come across in the outback.
🎉 cannot believe there was no one at Cathedral Gorge. So lucky. And impressed you got through. I piked and did the 4wd tour from the Caravan Park.
Yes I was surprised there was no one around, not sure if it had to do with they only just opened the National Park again and the water crossing might have turned some people off, oh the caravan park at the HWY is also closed.
@@freewayproject I think all those things combined.
Hi 😊! I like your filming, good camping skills and nice camera work. Keep on . I also make bushcraft videos, before in Russia, now in Vietnam. Its crazy how different it is lol 😂😅. Take care my friend! Good luck with your channel!
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the episode.
Wow 2 different worlds Russia and Vietnam, I have been through Vietnam (would love to ride it on a motorbike) but I have never had the chance to explore Russia.
I'll check your videos out, I gather some of them will help me with my camping.
The colors are awesome...... thanks
It is an amazing area, glad you enjoyed it.
Such beautiful photos Joe! Safe travels.
It’s a stunning place
Unbelievable ,joe thank you for taking us along , cheers mate 👍👍👍
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the episode, I still have half the national park to explore and it turns into a very interesting day in the next episode.
Looking forward to it 👍
Hey Joe, just echoing the praise for your stills skills. After having followed you throughout this journey, I've realized that over the last several weeks, I've started playing this little mental game with myself, trying to guess what photos you'll feature at episode's end. I did not anticipate the battling raptors. Great shots! I hope you'll never fret about bringing something different to the table when it comes to moto-vlogs. You have a certain pace and point of view that is your own, and after this season is done, I hope you'll be compiling your notes and collecting your favorite photos into a large-sized old-school coffee table book -- maybe for Christmas 2024? Safe travels.
Thanks mate, glad you are still enjoying the series.
haha, well half the time I am hoping I got a shot or 2 to put in the video, then there are places like the bungle bungles and everywhere you point a camera there is an epic shot. oh the battling raptors I was trying to line up the "money shot" as I called it in the episode and out of the corner of my eye there was this distraction haha. Actually next episode there is a shot that I thought would be messed up by a distraction but in the end I think it improved the image, and another shot that created a very interesting pattern.
I am not sure how other people share their journeys but this is the way that works for me.
It would be great to do something with the images, an old-school coffee book would be great but looking into it the costs for small run, quality books may put a price point on it that doesn't make it viable, I have even been looking at prints and again to do anything quality I'm not sure yet due to the cost but I am working on at least looking into prints first and maybe more after if they work.
Thanks again for the continued support.
Absolutely stunning
Yes the place is incredible, there is still more to come next week at the other end of the National Park
Can I suggest you buy a "SCRUBBA BAG" great for mini washes on the road.
Awesome scenery.
Thanks mate, I'll check it out.
Joe , enjoying your life , luckyone
Happy you like the series, yes exploring is a great life.
Well did capturing those birds in flight. Getting the right exposure with a bright sky background can be challenging. 👍👍
yes they were falling out of the sky quite fast, lucky I got them in frame at all 😂
If they were Bald Eagles in the USA that could have been their courtship ritual. Not sure if our wedgies do the same.
@@IanJacksonShorty I think you are probably right.
breathtaking...
It is an amazing place.
great stuff again water proof socks maybe? lol regards john
It is an amazing place. Well I might need a dry suit on the way back.
Stunning
Yes probably the best word for the place
Beautiful
The area certainly is 😁
I camped at Mary Pools around 15 years ago ( it must be more well known know ) we were the only only ones their . I tried to do the Bungle Bungles but first river crossing would have been over 4WD bonnet. A Cyclone had not long gone through. My next trip next year will be on my bike , fantastic Vid mate , just got back from 8 days away on the bike with a few mates, went down old Grafton road ( Convict tunnel ) on our way to Glen Innes. That area is not far from you I think 🤔 were you come from .
Yes I was thinking I'd be the only one there but was totally mistaken. Well if the water would have been over the your bonnet of your 4WD then at that depth I would have needed a mask and snorkel, and the first river crossing was probably the shallows so good decision not to go further.
I think the Bungle Bungles is a must it has been one of the highlights on the trip. And that's only half the National Park. I've just uploaded the second episode from there, let just say it was stunning and a lot of fun getting back out through the water.
I just googled Convict tunnel, well I think I am going to have to go check it out, thank you for the heads up on that. If you have any other dirt roads, trails, cool places to check out etc that you know of through there I'l love to know about them, it would be a good area to explore.
Glad you enjoyed the episode.
@@freewayproject The Bridle track near Bathurst ( built by convicts ) between Bathurst and Hill end it’s fantastic as well .
@@itsallabouttheridekeepingi4449 thank you, I'll check it out
Nice video...good job Joe. Subtitles in spanish please... jejeje... Regards from Spain!
Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying it. I would if I had time, but also I don't know Spanish but apparently RUclips which already automatically puts English subtitles is working on automatically adding Spanish, French, Portuguese, German etc... subtitles hopefully it is released very soon.
Awesome still photos again Joe.👌
I don’t like the look of the next video promo😮
It is a stunning place just point and shoot.
Yes next week trying to get out gets interesting 😂
@@freewayprojectFantastic I bet.
Like I’ve said before in my other comments I need a dictionary to find new word for awesome……..
I bet some night shots in there on a full moon would be amazing.
@@thehairyleggedbikers.darre2510 Yes definitely a place to get some epic night photos.
Those birds with one inverted arent scrapping its an adult passing food to a juvenile. Great shot.
Thanks Prime Minister, I wasn't sure if it was part of mating ritual or a full on scrape, but handing food over I wouldn't have guessed. Thanks for sharing the info.
.
Beautiful shots, the Bungle Bungles landscape is amazing! Deb panicked every time you made a water crossing, especially that last one previewing next week. I'm glad I am not the only one that has to work to get my panniers off, I guess tight is better than listening to a constant rattle. If you don't mind my asking, what tank bag are you running? I need one, but so far I'm not finding much.
haha yes, as there was no one around the water crossing that were brown water, I was a little nervous thinking there is a chance the whole bike could go under, luckily that didn't happen.
Oh yer next week well I still have to explore the other part of the National Park and get out of there, lets say it turns into a very long day.
Sensational as always…north India next?? Check out itchy boots last two episodes YOU GOTTA DO IT FOR US😊
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the episode, I am planning on heading over there but it will have to be next summer if I can save enough money to get there and make it work. Would love to take a lot of photos of those mountain ranges.
The next episode I explore the rest of the National Park with also a lot of fun riding that turns onto a very long day.
Awesome Joe, love the water crossings and the domes. The colours in the still pics are just phenominal- we have quite a bit of that here in SA in the karoo. How is your phone holding up -the corrugated road look horrible. Ride safe
@@seandutoit9537 yes the place is amazing and the water crossing super fun. the phone has been fine not issues at all.
Great adventures your having.. Look forward to the nxt chapter..
Have you checked out the new 450 Himalayan..?
Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying the series, yes it has been an epic journey. The next episode I still have the other half of the National Park to explore and I still have to make my way back through the river crossing to get out again, let just say it turns onto a long day.
The 452 Himalayan won't be in the country (in Australia) until January, February 2024, so I will have to wait until then to check one out, it does sound more capable off road, I'll have to wait until I can ride one to find out.
Couple of good reviews on RUclips.. looks alright.. 👍
I could feel those corrugations on my side of the screen AND started swearing at them . Cheers mate.
haha they were pretty brutal, having a bike set up for travel instead of like a dirt bike is limiting on how you can tackle them, just a part of the journey.
Finally 🔥👍
I hoped you enjoyed it 👍
Joe, out of interest what video equipment do you use on the bike / helmet and what frame rate / resolution do you use?
Lastly, what size card do you find you need for a days riding or do you switch the camera on/off somehow?
PS while living in Kununurra I never got to Pernalulu (roads too rough) so I really enjoyed your video
I am using a DJI Osmo action on the helmet, normal frame rate 24 frames, Rez Aleutian is 4K. I think the card is 256 gig but I only film when there is something interesting so I hit record and stop each time. Otherwise, it would take me weeks just to view the footage from each day. I am glad you enjoyed that video. Yes it was rough and very wet even though the days were dry.
I´ve been bingin your adventures, love how you do everything! I was wondering what do you do to the old oil?😅
Thanks Tatubanu, it's great to hear you are enjoying the series. With the old oil you can normally take it to a mechanic shop who have waste oil barrels, a lot of the time they let you dump it in the barrels, sometimes they'll charge you a few bucks.
Super video, again. When you went to Halls creek, I was like "Is he going to do the Canning Stock Route on the Himalayan?". 😅
Which software are you using to edit your videos? I'm just learning to make videos. Yesterday I made a video on how to make tea and started editing it. I will never upload it on RUclips. 😁🙈
Thanks mate. I nearly went to Wolf Creek which you take the Tanami road, but it had not been graded in a very long time and I was told at the time the corrugations were over 6inch deep and vehicles were down to 20 - 30km an hour, if you didn't want to rattle your vehicle apart, so with 160km in then 160km out I decided to miss it this time.
I use Final Cut Pro as I find it the quick software, I am on an Apple so it work a lot faster. Davinci resolve is another good editing software
@@freewayproject thanks mate. Wolfe creek has an ancient crater. Have you visited that?
@@littlepuppy101 Yes, it looks awesome from above
Awesome scenery! Which crash bars you use if any?
Got some things to do on my Himmy n need boots. (Bit wet here in UK but am tempted to find some green lanes).
yes the National Park is stunning and I still have the other end coming next week. The bike came with crash bars (I got the bike second hand) I am not sure if they had a brand name they are all black
Any chance to get out on the bike is worth it.
@@freewayproject If they are attached by three points either givi or sw tech. Two points are R enf.
What month were you there?
Stretching the memory, must have been school Holidays (as I past a lot of caravaners) so that would make it July.
I love your video editing skill and photography skill. Please don't stop making videos.
You also checkout new himalayan 450 2023
Thanks mate, I am happy you are enjoying the series and the photos. I will try to keep making them as long as I have somewhere to explore.
The new bike won't be in my country (Australia) until February 2024, so hopefully I'll get to check it out then.
g,day Joseth really enjoying your adventures but why are you whispering....
Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying the series.
I am not sure what part you are referring to with the whispering
