Wow Joe, that was a fantastic episode video, you handled the rocky rivers like a breeze, hats off to the Scram ..... New Zealand sure is one amazing country, especially from your photographers eye, end shots were as usual awesome ......cheers again ......
Another great video. If/when you go back, at night-time in Penneshaw the little Penguins come out of the water and waddle across the streets. you are lucky to have the remarkable rocks all to yourself. So, cold, stormy winter weather has some benefits.
Hard to understand why you don't have 91.74K additional subscribers Joe. I love these videos of yours, you reflect upon so many aspects of these types of tours that I want to learn about. Thankyou.
Thank you Rob, I’m glad you are enjoying the series. I have no understanding how that RUclips algorithm works, I am probably doing something wrong for it. But I enjoy exploring on the motorbike and filming and editing the stories so it’s a win-win for me.
I am loving all your vlogs of rural oz. The countryside is amazingly beautiful. I don’t do cities and crowds. I’m much more at home out in the middle of nowhere taking in nature’s scenery
Geez I was worried that you might have been kidnapped by a kangaroo when you didn’t post last week. Great video yet again. Looking forward to seeing the next episode 👍
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. It takes me a while to edit each video especially while being on the road, editing in a tent at night, so sometimes I can't get one done in a week, but hopefully I should miss to many weeks.
Excellent vid Joe! I’m watching on a wet Saturday morning in County Antrim, waiting for the rain to stop so I can get out on the Himalayan. These vids of yours are amazing 👍
Great 👍 vid mate , have been waiting in anticipation for this one ☝️. I’m glad their is a lot of dirt on the island 🏝, I’m hoping to ride to WA from Wodonga, , Kangaroo island, Flinders again , Finke , Alice springs , Great central road to WA and go riding predominantly down the south of WA loop around through Albuny and Esperance and back over the Nullarbor and whatever way home 🏠👍😂
Just checking the weather before I head off on the himmy for a 3 day trip in North QLD . Saw your vid and had to watch it . Time to go , have a good one mate.
Just subscribed to your channel, what a place, our roads in the states are not so free of traffic, you have to search high and low for these places, I’m all about any roads I can find free of any people and traffic of any kind, getting really scarce here, leave next week to seek out these roads on our annual yearly road trip. Keep the awesome videos coming. Rob
Bugga on the conditions, it's pretty exposed there alright. You really need a week there to soak it all in. It's big for a small island. Emu bay is a choice spot. Cheers .
Another cracking video Joe and a fascinating place with some lovely deserted dirt roads to explore just a shame your visit was cut short due to the weather but am sure you’ll return at some point 👍
G'day Joe shame about the weather while you where there. Looks like the ferry back was going to be a bit on the ruff side. K I is a beaut spot for sure, fairly flat but the amount of dirt roads make up for that. Well worth the explore.
Sometimes you get great weather sometimes you don't, but there was enough good weather to be able to explore. Yes the ride back is a bit rough and arrived at night.
What a shame about the weather. It would be a beautiful place when the Sun shines, and the sky is blue. Those bushfires were terrible for many reasons. You're a true Motorcycle Adventurer! Another great watch Joe, and your still shots are amazing. 👏👏👏😁👍
Great videos. You talk well into the video too with an engaging personality Question about bike: what sorts of speed you cruising on highways ?100kph Does the Himalayan vibrate and does it get buffeted a lot by wind and/or oncoming trucks?
Thanks mate, glad that you liked it. I sit on 110kph if it is a flat HWY, strong headwinds or step hills will reduce the speed. I rarely feel the buffering from tucks unless it is a very strong crosswind that passes the trucks side first. I have done 2 reviews on the bike if that helps, the first is at 20,000km and goes over all the details of the bike, the second is a 40,000km and goes over the bike in certain situations. Snake are way more worried about us than we are of them. Just by walking around they will normally take off as they feel the vibrations in the ground and know we are bigger than them. So when free camping in the bush, being in a cleared area where they don't have things to hide under right next to the tent, moving around while setting up, I keep boots and long pants on until I have sent up (just incase I come across one) . Always and I mean always keep your tent zipped up even if going out of only 3o sections (also prevents spider, scorpions, bugs) and keep your boots in the tent no matter how bad they smell). It would be very rare to have a snake come to you tent or camp site.
It is 411 so only a smaller bike, it doesn't have a lot of horse power but it is tune for low end torque, that's why it is good for exploring getting through hard sections while looking around. There is a newer version (450) being released by the end of the year that will have nearly double the horse power if that's a concern, but I find this bike has enough for what I do.
@@freewayproject poor snake, when we went to seal bay there was one sleeping curled up on top of a bush, getting the sun. Right on the side of the path.
@@freewayproject you got me thinking in getting a Himalyan to go to the end of the world (Ushuaia). It seems pretty reliable and easy to fix. Also, can you imagine making a South America documentary for your fellow aussie riders...
Kangaroo island is cute place, but no kangaroos? 🦘 he he, glad you find some after camping, but i remember them too in prev series 😅 Also there are perfect views on salt lakes. Don't believe it is not the main part, but thanks for them, beautiful!
You are a master storyteller sir.

Another great one. Love the rocks! and the photos at the end. Cheers,
thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it
Love it when you seem to be the only one on the road! And most of the time you are! Always enjoy the still photos at the end!
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it. Yes I like exploring places less well know and with less people.

Question, how do campers deal with snakes in Tasmania? Or do the snakes kinda stay clear of camp grounds?

Big brown snakes have a hood a bit like a cobra when they’re angry.
well hopefully it was one and wasn't injured
