Enjoyed the video! And especially loved seeing McNally’s first outing. I don’t think you showed too much of the new puppy. We loved watching him! Thanks!

Manitou is my favorite place when I go visit my kids in the Springs. It just has such a nice vibe, and I love the mineral water.

I lived here in the 70's. The Arcade still amazes me, it hasn't changed. In fact, the biggest change is the big new building on the main drag, I was sad to see it put in. Other than that Manitou hasn't changed much since the 70's. The best time to be there is after all the tourist season is over. The surrounding countryside is the best.

It’s a cool little town. Used to go here all the time as a kid. So it’s memories.

Years ago it was a hot spot for hippies... Also if you mix the mineral water with kool aid it taste like soda pop. Also we use to buy the best salt water taffy there

That's awesome +Linda Loar, I never even thought of mixing it with something. Also I think it's still got a bit of the hippy blood left :)

Did you like living there? I'm being relocated to the Springs area for work and Manitou looks more my style than the city.

@@russelltech7691 Thank you. One more question if you'd be so kind. How do they take to transplants? I'm from California, and I understand that outsiders aren't really welcomed, is that actually true? This is probably my biggest concern.

Nice video. Manitou Springs is brilliant!
A little less dog footage and more local flavour would've been better though.
Only a bit of constructive criticism, that's all.
    Safe travels!

I agree completely +Simon Harbuckle we loved Manitou Springs, and you are right about the dog footage as well. We'd just gotten McNally and might of gave him too much attention hahah :)

Hey +Connie Wise we are not 100% sure as of yet though we are considering getting a DNA test in the future not sure yet if we will. We know for sure he is 50% Chihuahua because his mom was a Chihuahua but we are not sure the other side. Once we find out I'll come back and update this :)

  • @oleyever

Lived there for more than a few years in the 90s. This video sucks so bad I can't begin to explain. The well-meaning dude walking around carrying his dog explaining the springs is where I had to stop. One of those things you can't unsee, but made worse by the fact that I know people in Manitou, and it's still that place for me... All my changes were there...and... Why did you do this.? It shows so little respect for the place, I just can't imagine you could be so clueless. It's years later now, I realize. You might even have kids, etc.. And days of visiting new cities like Manitou to record visits to their tourist shops are probably behind you. Good. I hope. But, really, Manitou is so much better than you.
