Please never quit! I get enormous value from all your videos! I try to remember to like and subscribe as much as I can! I always watch as soon as I can too!
This is a one of a kind channel! I'm still mining the back catalogue, and its the first one I reccomend to anyone in the hobby space (that's like... one or two other people, but such is this little hobby of ours). As a beginner crafter, I really love how so many of your builds, even the really epic ones, dont require a huge financial investment or access to 3d printing (no shade to those the many brilliant creatures that use those, but its amazing to see something table ready come together with tools I can afford on a shoestring career actor budget) I usually watch your content while I craft, which is less and less these days while money is tight. I missed your 2E video entirely, but that kind of content has less of a visual element and I dont feel like I'm missing steps if I listen while I commute or exercise, so if making content like that helps make this sustainable I'd definitely tune in. That said content like your furniture videos a few months ago and your dungeon builds are really one of a kind, and I will be watching and rewatching them for many years. The algorithm should give you more love for that. Hope this year sees you get the viewership you deserve Wyloch!
I just got back into DnD and part of the group I'm with want to get into diorama hence how I found you. That being said I'm building what I can based on what I watch from you and a couple others. Keep up the builds. I watch what I can, when I can. I'll keep liking them and responding with my thoughts. You provide a service and I'll help in my own small way.
Your channel was one of my inspirations to start my own back in 2021. RUclips isn’t my full-time gig either, but I can definitely relate to what you're going through. Just know that as long as you’re creating, I’ll be watching. Thanks for everything you do - cheers!
I appreciate how upfront you are with your audience. The logistics with how much sponsored segments and Patreon makes you was intriguing to hear. Don't know why but I thought it interesting to hear that. Regardless, it does suck how RUclips doesn't give your videos as much visibility. I enjoy watching them and have been a huge fan of the Building Baldur's Gate series.
Yea, RUclips does suck :P That being said I’ve been loving your Baldur’s Gate series Bill. Keep the passion alive. I’ve been rediscovering mine after RUclips slowly killed it, and it’s been great. Best wishes to you for 2025🍻
I am an avid wargamer and crafter. I have enjoyed your channel for years. Since you did not ask, here is my take on the D&D crafting video space. People starting out watch a lot of videos and then since the majority of content covers much of the same space, they start watching less. I find your videos are some of the more watchable in that you either show something new or it is just so well done that I watch for the artistic enjoyment.
I agree, Wyloch is the channel I have stuck with and am the most interested in. But it does seem like we're weirdos compared to the average youtube user!
I've been a fan and I believe a subscriber since the first 3 videos you released and between you, Black Magic Craft and of course DM Scotty you guys are my favorite. Your tile system is what sparked my dungeon crawls for my DMing and I continue to use them. I often rewatch your vids and will continue to do so. Keep up the excellent work and hang in there, we need crafters like you out there inspiring us.
Sorry to hear about all that mess, guess things really are tough all over. Haven’t been here from the beginning but a few years back i binged, caught up and have been following ever since. Lot of respect for you. Listening to you is like listening to a coworker go on about some hobby i happen to be into. I think it helps that this isn’t your day job. I don’t put the time i wish i could into the hobby for that same reason. Work is work and the health insurance thing is also foremost for my case as well. Stay humble and don’t sell out.
As a fellow miniature hobby focused RUclips content creator - I fully feel your pain and 100% relate to the internal battle of creating, time spent, effort made vs monetary return. Same as you - I pretty much do this on the side as a passion project around a full time job because it is what I love doing. It is what I would be doing regardless of whether I put it on YT. I do it ultimately just to share creativity and try to rebalance the scales, even in the most miniscule amount, to put out quality content rather than a mindless flood of reaction videos. I have learned so much from you over the years and hold you as one of the main inspirations behind my hobby. Keep the faith dude and keep spreading the love
Brother, add sponsorships, add commentaries. I like to thank of it like this. Most channels take sponsorships whether large or small. It’s just part of the game and we don’t blame you for playing it. We expect you to honestly review what you would be getting anyway so you shouldn’t feel skeezy about it. I wouldn’t want to take money from your hands just for principle. People that been following you from the start like myself should be happy to help you make some money and get free merch. Secondly, do commentary videos to help supplement scheduling, filming and the like. I enjoy those from you as well. Crafting, recording each step and the editing the videos takes forever and it’s ton of work and when they don’t perform like you had hoped is just devistating. That was the biggest reasons I stopped my ROLL FOR DAMAGE channel. It’s was just too much for me with a 60-70 avg hour work week on top. Anyway, bro we love what you do, I’m here, ride or die! I think most of your audience is the same.
Love your art and channel man! You, DM Scotty and BMC are the whole reason I found a passion for terrain building, mini painting and non theatre of the mind combat. You took something that seemed like it had a high bar for entry and showed me that it was totally within my grasp. Thanks man. And f*ck it. Roll them ads. Do it with your usual deadpan. Plenty of channels get ad money, while clowning on the products they’re promoting.
While I am here for the crafting videos, I liked your unboxing video! I want more Wyloch! If that means more of those or a 60 or 90 second sponsorship ad, I’ll take It!
I think i discovered you during Lockdown here int he UK. It inspired me to start running DnD a few years ago (I am a gnat's breath away from finally finishing LMoP) and I have a bunch of your tiles from way back when in use...semi-regularly. However, your 40k series encouraged me to start playing Warhammer again (I stopped playing around about 5th Edition 40k) and so I made some ruins for that. Your epic series on White Plume Mountain was incredibly engrossing (and almost spoiled a sidequest in a DnD game i was playing in) and I must have watched it, and the mega-compliation, half a dozen times without thinking. You have helped inspire a generation of players and DMs, new and old, so if you feel you need to mix things up then I am looking forward to the wild ride. I rarely comment on videos (because algorithms eat them up at the best of times) but, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you do that keeps people like me engaged engrossed and enthused.
I really like how COMMENTING you educate us TO HELP on the behind-the-scenes THE ALGORITHM of the publication side of RUclips. Keep WE up the great LOVE work YOU, Wyloch.
Sucks that YT is not supporting their content creators properly. Honestly, I'd watched a couple TTRPG crafters before finding you, but your videos are the ones that pushed me to start crafting myself. Sad to see an inspiring creator becoming so demoralised. I hope things start to pick up soon and YT fix their issues
You, Sir, inspired me in many ways. I built hills, dungeons, cardboard transport boxes and many things more... because of your videos. I will remain a regular cultist. ❤
Thank you for your transparency and candor. I recently discovered your channel and its very entertaining. Your content is well produced as well. Do what you have to do! I'll be here!
I don't even craft terrain or play D&D all that much, but I love that this channel and other channels like it exist. Watching the craft and care that goes into these projects is very impressive, and the videos are very relaxing to me. I really hope you keep it up, despite whatever pitfalls RUclips seems content to throw at creators all the time.
I clicked the "Bell", and I understand the comment count is also a metric. Change if you have to, but your existing style and flow is better than most other channels.
The early craft videos are wide range things everyone needs. Later craft videos are more narrow, only some people will be interested in. I think crafting for early modules, module by module, just a few items that enhance 'whatever' map is used would help. For example : add a fence around a cemetery to a game focused on undead or add an ambush scatter for a game using it, or a strategic bridge needed for a game. Often, only a few items can enhance a game. The early players probably look for the most help. Tiles are ok, but modules are leaning on maps instead. Make a cathedral or cathedral accents to put on any map and - how about a doctor's station - we all need that. Showing new product reviews is great. They cost a lot and we want to know if it's worth the money. Go ask local game store what's selling, then make stuff to enhance that game. Just rambling ideas.
I understand where your coming from but just know i watch ALOT of your videos. Sometimes just to try and get myself back up and crafting. Thanks for the creativity that you bring to the community, and myself!
Appreciate you, Wyloch. With so many great RUclipsrs feeling the squeeze lately, it's nice to see someone a little bigger than us saying what I've been thinking - that the content is too niche and it was never gonna be about the money or the ROI. We do it because we love it. But some ROI would still be pretty nice.
This channel has always provided consistent content presented in an authentic, informative, and entertaining way. The whole situation with the platform does suck, but fans and creatives who enjoy building for the hobby will always be here for one another, and we're here for you Wyloch.
Just got into the hobby. Your amazon list was super helpful getting the ball rolling so I'm glad you got a little kickback from what I got. Hope you can get the traction you deserve and can grow your footprint in the miniatures realm here on RUclips
Me and my kids love your channel! We watch them whenever we see them pop up. But I don't often see your videos in my feeds. We go straight to your channel page to see if there's anything new. Keep up the great work! Your crafting and art is often the highlight of the evening when we settle down to watch crafting videos.
Always watch and rewatch frequently. I'm sorry to hear how YT has affected you guys (Dungeoncraft, BMC, Runehammer, etc) I can't wait for the new video Wyloch!
When I think of which of your videos I like the best, the Illithid lair is my top favourite, because of its lore reading dubbed over crafting footage. The Baldur's Gate videos are also a good example of what I like about your style of videos, with the commentary being both technical and focused on your inspiration and thought-process.
I think it's incredible that a video like this is the reason I've discovered you in the first place. Your videos really appeal to me (despite not having seen any but this as of typing), so I'm glad this somehow led me to you. Glad to be here!
I'm a binge viewer of tabletop crafting videos, so I like to watch when I'm starting out on a project. I love your work and will totally keep watching whatever direction you choose to go in :) I'll start watching stuff when it comes out if it's more helpful, and personally I don't mind sponsored segments - not that you need our permission, but I say go for it on those!
I love your videos and often try to recommend it to newbie crafters. I do get the notifications, but I don't always have time to watch the videos right away, I didn't know that impacted how much your videos were offered to new viewers!
I watched your Tomb of Horros videos, like, 8 times already. I like your voice and how it nicely goes with music of the Kevin McLeod. I listened them as a filler for work or as a lullaby. Keep your job man. As Power Word Spill would say: I appreciate you.
Been watching your videos for a bit over 6 years now. Your channel got me into the hobby of creating terrain for my TTRPGs. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to your next video.
RUclips really is strange. I don't have the time to watch all videos that gets posted within a few hours. It can take a few days before I have the time. But your channel is a big inspiration, especially for the moment in small scatter terrain to make the board come to life. Furniture, food, candles, all those small bits that perhaps people don't see or notice but add to the story and make you feel that someone could be living there.
I love the channel and think a mix of both crafting and commentary would be great. The Starter Set unboxing was really informative and a good comparison to current starter sets. Keep going!
Just want to hop on and say, keep doing what you're doing man! Your crafting videos have been so inspiring to me, and the baldurs gate stuff hit me with such a wave of nostalgia that I can't even put words to it. Needless to say, I played it... again, lol. Anyway, I know it probably feels pretty demoralizing to see numbers like that, but don't let it get you down. Love seeing what you're doing! Keep it up!
Hey mate! Long time watcher, very rarely a commenter on YT at all. Just adding this here in the hopes it adds to your algorithm shenanigans! Love your work! Cheers from Australia!
It's such a bummer this is what's happening to you. I just really started watching and joined your patreon. I love your content and I don't blame you or any RUclipsr for doing a sponsored content
Just watched this. You speak truth. I feel your pain. I haven't done much with my workshop / crafting channel but I have a health related channel with quite a few more videos. I've experienced the same thing. Frustrating for sure. I say do it. Go with the changes. Do the sponsorships and make the commentary videos IF you can do it and feel good about it. If there is a product that you believe in go for it. There is nothing wrong with you earning a bit here and there so you can keep doing this. With my other channel I've passed up plenty of sponsorship offers but the ones with products I believe in, I do. They are few but I feel good about promoting them because I believe in the products. Nothing wrong with that. No one will blame you for doing it. If they do then they don't understand and you likely don't need them anyway. Find some products you believe in and see if they have an affiliate partner program (other than amazon) which will pay quite a bit more. There may even be some with the products you already use and love and would recommend regardless. You've probably already made some of these companies money just by people seeing what you use to do your work. I'm sure you know all this much better than I do. Having a bit of income especially after putting so much time and effort into good quality videos sure helps you stay motivated. I just hate the frustration and when I hear another creator talking about it I feel for them. Keep it going brother. Your content is awesome.
I think your specific viewers are fellow crafters. I would definitely watch commentary videos on things like your past projects, specific tools you really enjoy using, and those that maybe ended up being a bust. Maybe successful DND campaigns and one shots you have done etc. If that helps your engagement and boosts your followers I guarantee a lot of us would enjoy it. You carry yourself very well just speaking without edits, a genuine guy we all can relate to. Keep it up Wyloch!
I love your content wyloch! I watch every video I get notified about almost immediately and check your channel regularly. My favorites are your tomb of horrors and white plume mountain supercuts I have watched those at least five times each. Close second would be all those Baldurs gate crafts! Sponsorships won’t bother me at all - in fact I‘d encourage you to do it! For anyone annoyed by those I recommend the Firefox addon sponsorblock. I am very relieved that this is not one of those „ I am quitting RUclips“ videos. I‘ll Jump on your patreon for a few month to support you!
I really appreciate your work, especially how it is more cardboard-focused rather than all being foam. Thanks for helping me de-stress and making cool stuff! PS - If you want to take sponsorships, I won't mind as long as they aren't too jarring. But I'm confident you can do that!
I literally have to check your channel manually just because youtube will notify me 3 days later or not at all and it's irritating. I watch your stuff cause you're one of the few craft channel that I enjoy cause everyone else feels less crafty and more of how it's made with a bunch of 3d printing and reliance on xps foam.
Hopefully with more attention being brought to how youtube functions, we can get you to a good place. I have been a lurker on many channels, but am making an effort to engage and help support the channels I watch. Keep up the great work and that many people have benefited from you sharing your knowledge and passion for this crafting hobby.
I've always appreciated every post you make. I don't have $$$ to give but I do have time and the ability to click a few buttons. Hope it helps. Thank you, very much!
it's why I slowed my updates too. I do builds - woodworking, metalworking - etc... and since I don't do client work (as of now), it's all out of pocket. 1 sheet of plywood is over 50&=$. juice stopped being worth the squeeze.

This was your first video I've gotten in a bit, and I've JUST realized that I've missed a bunch of your builds! I set my notifications to "All" but, like you said, something might have gotten borked. I hope to catch more of your build videos soon!
You and Scotty got me into game centric YT videos. I love watching builds but man, you are right. It is getting rare for me to see a video of yours (or others) pop up one my feed. But watch one lone vid about something I was mildly interested in and I suddenly get inundated with every fool and their neighbor making a video about that one thing.

Thanks for the video! Good info, details, and insights!
As a beginner crafter, I really love how so many of your builds, even the really epic ones, dont require a huge financial investment or access to 3d printing (no shade to those the many brilliant creatures that use those, but its amazing to see something table ready come together with tools I can afford on a shoestring career actor budget)
I usually watch your content while I craft, which is less and less these days while money is tight.
Yea, RUclips does suck :P
That being said I’ve been loving your Baldur’s Gate series Bill.
Thanks for keeping us updating on this problem that sadly doesn't seem to change years after years.
I really like how COMMENTING you educate us TO HELP on the behind-the-scenes THE ALGORITHM of the publication side of RUclips. Keep WE up the great LOVE work YOU, Wyloch.
Dig your stuff especially the Neon Skies. I am not a crafter myself, but I appreciate all forms of creativity! Keep it up.
Love your videos. I rewatch all the old school Baldurs Gate videos as comfort watches.
Just found you, via Dungeon Craft. Subscribed. Clicked bell. Best of luck to you, sir.
I've set notifications to all on all for the channels I truly need/want see. Love all of Wyloch's videos
Woot.
I watch every one of your videos. You do a great job. I'm sorry RUclips doesn't appreciate you.
"RUclips sucks" brah... I feel you
The onset of reaction videos - which is theft - marked the beginning of the downfall, I think.
@@WylochsArmory I detest those reaction videos. never watch them.
@@Logaan777 Obviously, lots of people enjoy them.
I clicked the "Bell", and I understand the comment count is also a metric. Change if you have to, but your existing style and flow is better than most other channels.
Please take sponsors! We will not think any less of you. You have a great channel and great ideas. Thank you for all your effort and hard work!
We are here and we are watching. Thanks for your work.
I´ll continue watching and recommending you! Keep up the good work!
Always watch and rewatch frequently. I'm sorry to hear how YT has affected you guys (Dungeoncraft, BMC, Runehammer, etc)
I can't wait for the new video Wyloch!
I watch you with my daughter, she gets blown away with the end results. Helping me get her into crafting and DND so thank you
Thank you for your honesty and I look forward to the new video.
Ty so much for sharing with us. and sharing your art with us.
I love the channel and think a mix of both crafting and commentary would be great. The Starter Set unboxing was really informative and a good comparison to current starter sets. Keep going!
Thanks for your efforts! I love the crafting. Your art is inspiring.
I wouldn't mind a few ad spots and reviews but I am definitely here for the builds. Keep making great stuff.
Keep it up!
Happy new year, hope things pick up, we'll be here for as long as you are, keep up the excellent work you do
Thanks for sharing. I have enjoyed a lot of your videos, I'm looking forward for the next one
I'm here for you. Do what you feel you need to do, but stay genuine.
Your content never dissapoints Sir ❤, I love the builds.
Uggh. That sucks. I love all that you've done so far. I hope it continues. Good luck sir!
Love your work Wyloch! Hope you have a better year bud!
Whatever you need to grow the channel, I’ll still watch whatever you put out!
I will always see your uploads. Love the channel.
I've always appreciated every post you make.
I don't have $$$ to give but I do have time and the ability to click a few buttons.
Hope it helps. Thank you, very much!
Helping out how I can! Keep in the fight. We appreciate what you and want to see more.
it's why I slowed my updates too. I do builds - woodworking, metalworking - etc... and since I don't do client work (as of now), it's all out of pocket. 1 sheet of plywood is over 50&=$. juice stopped being worth the squeeze.
You deserve a lot more than those commissions and Patreon subs. Do those ad reads,Wyloch.
shared your channal on a Discord server am in so hopfully some pepole their like your stuff, it is pure magic and the tiles video you made was a life saver for our dnd game
This was your first video I've gotten in a bit, and I've JUST realized that I've missed a bunch of your builds! I set my notifications to "All" but, like you said, something might have gotten borked. I hope to catch more of your build videos soon!
Thanks for getting me into the hobby! Just discovered you a few months ago.
I have very much enjoyed all of your videos and I love how your style is not the same as others. We'll keep watching! :D
Good luck mate, I love your channel!
