Not far fetched to say cause these guys have a huge hardcore influence. You can hear a bunch of breakdowns and chug riffs, something the core and punk kids love. Edit: I forgot but 4:18 is a cover of a Baltimore hardcore band. Rest in piece Bruce Greig, he played in Next Step Up and Dying Fetus.
It's like a band gig from around 1970 or something. There's a completely raw feel about it because of that lighting and the complete lack of any visual displays like a stage set, lighting effects, smoke, even so much as a stack of (unplugged in) amps.
It's funny how every hardcore show has all the house lights on. Fits in with the whole hardcore dancing thing because they are all desperate for attention and to be seen.

Definitely! I can't describe it well but they use lots of breakdowns and possibly were influenced by a lot of the NYDM/NYHC scene. Oh and Jon is possibly a skinhead well back then at least. Take a listen to a lot of 90s NYDM, they have hardcore strewn all over it.

This is so awesome. Growing up in the early and mid 2000s mixed shows were so common and they were the best. You fell in love with so many new bands and genres you didn’t know existed. Bring these back, the energy is amazing and brings different senses together

Honestly, the first time I heard Dying Fetus, there was a hardcore pattern in their songs. it really appeals to me because they are a death metal band with a hint of hardcore in it
Definitely! I can't describe it well but they use lots of breakdowns and possibly were influenced by a lot of the NYDM/NYHC scene. Oh and Jon is possibly a skinhead well back then at least. Take a listen to a lot of 90s NYDM, they have hardcore strewn all over it.
