Randy, I visited this area often in early 2000s. I would rent a 4x4 and explored a lot of the BLM lands of the Mojave in Arizona and the National Preserve in California. I enjoyed watching your take on this area. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO, . . . Mike
Really cool! This place was such a great time! Actually during this visit I never knew of the volcano cone - not sure how I missed it!. Need to get back and check that out and a few other places that have been brought to my attention. We just returned from Castle Mountains (and some other cool places in that Mojave area). Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'll leave the lava tubes to you guys ~ used to explore the caves on San Miguel Island and the sea caves on Santa Cruz Island but got too creeped out! The dunes are awesome ~ we had a blast exploring dunes in Mag Bay in Baja ~ so beautiful! Nice video :)
Thanks, hoping to hit Lava Bed National Monument (N. Calif.) with my daughter this summer. Mojave was the "warm-up!" Safe travels and thanks for watching!
Awesome my friend! I have got to take the drive out there and see this! Looks like alot of cool stuff to see.The town of Kelso is the main entry point?
Thanks, Robert! Surprised you haven't been there based on its proximity to San Diego. Huck is right on the directions. We entered from Death Valley on 127, drove south through the Preserve and then got on 40 to return to LA. All in the video is in the chronological order of our stops. There is more to see that we just didn't have the time to explore. Take care!
Did some research on this park.Looks very cool. And it looks like we just might end up paying it a visit when my 14 year old is out of school for Spring break! I receive free offers to stay at Primm Nevada every month which is only a hour North on the 15 at State Line so it looks like ive made some extra plans! Look for a video for it sometime in April. Very glad that you posted this video as it gave me a new destination to check out close to home and what can I say, I love the desert.
Very cool! I believe there is more to see than just the sites we took in (yet definitely do all three of those locations!). "Huck" (in these comments) visited a massive crater. Look forward to the video!
Thank you. Looks like ill be going next month.Went over and checked out your channel and dug looking at your vids! You got a new snub. Hope you check out my channel as well. safe travels.
Americas Parks the desert has its own special beauty for sure. Gods handiwork is definitely on display all over the earth. Really brings home Romans 1:20. I in turn really love everything about the ocean lol. I am planning a trip to Saddleback Butte State Park. It’s only about 15 miles away. Inspired by your channel. On a spiritual level I really needed these videos of the desert to remind me that even this desolate landscape is part of Gods wonderful creation.
@@FromFat2Phat Well-said! Love that verse! The end of Romans 1 has become the anthem for this current age. Have a fantastic trip and thanks for the kind words of encouragement.

That was a strange day! Never forget breaking my sunglasses and biting my tongue!
Looks like a great time exploring with friends.
Neat place, really coming to have greater appreciation for the BLM lands!

Looks like you were out there at the same time we were. We had gone out on the Saturday.
We might have just missed each other. We were there on Sunday. Just subbed to your channel. Enjoy life!
The lava tubes were awesome! Too bad you didn't have more time to explore them!
Agree!

Kelbaker road. Off the 15 or the 40. Off the 15 is closer to the Lava Tube, the 40 is closer to the dunes. Kelso is in the middle.

This is my neck of the woods or desert I suppose is more accurate. Not next door but close. I see more of the desert than I want to.
Such a beautiful area! Love the desert as it it such a different landscape that what we experience here on the Jersey Shore.
