Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter. Also whenever you’re going for an adventure in the Mojave make sure to bring enough Stimpaks and watch out for the damn Legion! And of course Deathclaws.
I've been to Mojave a number of times, but every time it's just been on the south end near the Granite Mountains. It's become our go-to place to sleep whenever we are adventuring between Southern AZ and the Bay Area. One of these times i'll actually do the Mojave Road proper, and I definitely want to check out the other places you mentioned. That lava tube looks really cool! Thank you for the info!
Thank you SO much! I go in about a week. I've never camped!!! Like never slept outside a building and we will take the 4-5 days to cross from Bullhead City to near barstow! Hoping the water crossings arent too deep!! Thank youso much for this video! I'm RE-Excited again!!!
There’s a way to get to Spooky Canyon without crossing Soda Lake or the river on the west side. I didn’t take the route, so I’m not sure, but I think you can drive South on a trail from I-15 that pops you right into Afton Canyon.
@@GetLostwithBrooks That explains the crowds... We did the whole road in 1995 in my old CJ-7 and my dad's bronco. Route finding was a challenge. Last time I have a track on my iPhone and we just followed the purple line. Glad you pointed out Kelso Dune and some of the off-trail spots. Many just stick to the road and do it too fast. -M
Hey thanks! Well it looks like Westworld was filmed outside LA and in Utah, not the Mojave. Here’s a link to some filming locations you can visit. www.cntraveler.com/gallery/hbo-westworld-filming-locations-you-can-visit/amp
@@GetLostwithBrooks You are welcome. Thank you so much for the link. I have not watched all of your videos yet but did you make any videos from these Westworld locations? Or any plans to make YT videos?
Brooks, excellent video, pal! One question: The link for the GPS Coordinates for the entire trails isn't working. Can you please post the entire trail link? We're travelling there in May and I definitely want to get the route right (don't want to get lost in the middle of nowhere ;) Thanks again.
Love this! Did you hear the “boom” the dunes are said to make sometimes? Such a cool phenomena! And great to see what’s up with Nipton. Haven’t been back since I wrote about it selling to a cannabis company back in fall 2017! www.thecannifornian.com/cannabis-news/cannabis-company-buying-historic-town-nipton-develop-420-friendly-resort/
Eureka Dunes blew my mind. Such a beautiful place. Stoked for you! Btw I did some videos on Death Valley as well. They’re a different format - not quite as guide book like - but probably still helpful for visuals.

I want you to witness the fate of the town of Nipton, to memorise every detail.

The Lava Tube is AWESOME! My boys climbed up and out the vent at the bottom end. It was a trip seeing them scramble through into the sunlight.

Thank you 🙏
Welcome back! Good to see your videos again.
Hey, thanks!
Great trip! We were there two years ago. We bailed before soda lake so we need to get back and see spooky canyon.
Happy Trails!

Awesome video man!! Please keep making more content. Great production, really meaningful insights for my California roadtrip this November.
THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT VIDEO 🤙
Planning this trip early summer 2022
Hi new subscriber here. Love how you captured cool Mojave Desert. Some scenes looked like from Westworld (HBO). Wondering they were filmed there?

YESS!! love it!
Thanks dude!!
I’d love to get your feedback on the video and the format.
Hi, about the unpaved road to lava tube, do you think the large size RV is drivable?
Very entertaining
Good video
Thanks
Nipton got rebuilt?
When is the best time to hike in the desert ?
Afton Canyon isn't in Mojave National Preserve. It's about 20 miles west. And its a trestle not a trellis.
Thanks for the corrections!

I was able to produce a small vibration sound, but nothing pronounced. I did experience the sound though at Death Valley's Eureka Dunes.
Whoa, looks like a fascinating story. Flagged to read later. Thanks for linking!
Get Lost with Brooks Oh awesome! We’re heading to Death Valley for the first time in March, so we’ll check it out!

Damn my Subaru can't do some of that!

Most importantly, take two vehicles… your casual video is cause for concern.
Bro an FJ Cruiser ? Really ? Come on man you can do better than that....ha
You’re funny
