I have been working hard for the last 40 years and paying my rent, bills, food, clothes and other basic needs. I never owned a house or car. I do not smoke, drink alcohol. Never gambled in my life. I am living in a capitalistic economy. 70% of my hard earned money has been sucked by the bank through my landlord as rent payment. I am one of the poorest in the world of capitalism. Is it fair?????

You will never own house in a socialist or communist country. I grew up in East Europe, not seeing a homeless. There were low cost rental from the state.... imagine the quality. You lived in what you got. we lived in an apartment that was divided into two, we lived in the bigger part, but in 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an entrance that was a kitchen too lived a family with a small child. Workers had a called munkasszallo, a hostal to workers, once I've seen inside, a huge room with 4 beds for 4 person, each plant had a small kitchen and a bath. And if anyone was sleeping on the street / it was illegal, they were taken to the prison.

I think it is more as a result of liberal politicians not imposing the rules outlined in the EU's Stability and Growth Pact. Greece became addicted to debt and is not going through terrible withdrawal symptoms. The international banking crisis didn't make Greek politicians run up huge debts to give overly generous benefits to Greeks. Of course you could argue that the lenders were also unwise to make the loans but this doesn't relieve Greece of its responsibility to pay them back. You could also argue that the ability the IMF has to effectively bail out countries that get into debt problems does little to discourage politicians from taking these risks.
