Actually the Pixel was designed and engineered internally at Google and then the blueprints were sent to HTC to physically manufacture the phone. The Nexus phones previously were outsourced to other companies to design and engineer according to Google's specifications. You won't find HTC's logo anywhere on the Pixel but on some small text at the end of the quick-start guide discussing some technical and legal stuff.

Can you tell me how do you install Geekbench 2 in Android 1.0? I tried to install Geekbench 2 in my old Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab (Android 2.2 - 2010) tablet, but it won't work. Or, can you send me the APK file? Or, you install it from Android Market?
Remember a friend at school got the G1 and we were all amazed how great and advanced it was.

Not removable batteries = better design, thinner, waterproofness etc. I never had a problem with broken battery and I think this "I carry multiple batteries and switch them over the day" is bs.

Enoch Hart true... if Samsung didn't copy that shit idea from apple, their note 7 disaster could be way less than a serious problem. having a replaceable battery is very critical for having reliable phone over having power banks. for example the after market 10kmAh bettery for note 4 was super amazing with 3 days of battery life. also, I don't think having replaceable battery affects the design or waterproofing.... nokia and sony had waterproof phone with replaceable batteries.
Mahmoud Abdelaal You cant get this unibody design with a replacable battery, and these waterproof phones always had the problem that after opening/closing the seals multiple times they become leaky, espacially with battery sized openings
Lucas Marsula I don't care about how the phone looks unless the hardware effects the software. No one had to carry multiple batteries but it was nice to have the privilege to switch out a low battery instead of charging. The pixel, along with many phones, isn't waterproof anyways so having a removable battery for the cost of less waterproofing wouldn't have even been a loss. I know someone who had the same phone for more than a year and his battery died on him and he was able to simply buy a new one. People who don't upgrade often can experience battery deaths and not be able to replace them

The first Android phone I ever had was a Samsung Galaxy Appollo with Android 2.1. I still have it, but I dont use it anymore. I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 now.
Mine was HTC Wildfire S with Android 2.3, used it to read books during recess, finished entire Mistborn trilogy on that thing (due to small screen size it was like 18 000 pages). Also Opera Mini was the BEST browser ever.

The first Android phone I ever had was the LG Optimus Dynamic I which was a straight talk phone. Despite only running Gingerbread, it was an amazing little trooper once I optimized it's build.prop file and other modifications such as deleting Google Play Services, because let's face it, no one really needs them.
My first Android phone was a HTC Desire X on 2.3 then switched to a Nexus 5. Still have that. Recently broke it so on the lookout for a new phone. ZTE Axon 7 is leading
