I really think the friendship is the least important. Pietro is by far my most maxed out friendship (I have his framed photo) and he’s asked to move out twice while most of my other lower friendship villagers haven’t. Maybe it’s because I usually use amiibos or that I just have poor RDM when it comes to thought bubbles.
Yep friendship is the last advice I typically give folks so thank you for that good pointer! I usually get someone to show a thought bubble within about 10 mins. I’ve not tried it with amiibo! The amiibo might be what’s doing it.
@@1upPHILwith amiibo I’ve learned if target is an amiibo it’s going to be on its own separate counter per resident per card for that resident that would be in by this means It’s ok is what I learned in a group I follow, they are all re retrievable for free at any time as long as you have his or her card It will treat them as new copies with no memory of you, you’ll scan 3x again and they’ll be back in You have to form memory over again with him or her For the six Sanrio amiibo they as well Are re retrievable per amiibo per character where they and the items will return if any or all of them are directed to move out They’re immune to the adopt/pick up mechanic due to all actions they’d perform being exclusive to the cards

Haha Gigi was one of the first I kicked out using these steps. Another villager I’m trying for is Tucker! I thought the whole time it was a female I learned only last week it’s a male! I’ve never liked tucker since I started playing. Long overdue to kick out rofl
Okay, let me get this straight. I need to talk to the villager I want to kick out once, and completely neglect them for the next 30 days until the villager wants to move out. I'm talking bashing them with a net and pushing them around for the next 30 days. Then, when a bubble pops up, tell the villager to leave. When the bubble pops up on the wrong villager, tell them to stay and wait another day to try again. Every day the bubble doesn't appear, you try again the next day. Am I correct?
So, it's basically impossible for me to move Stinky out until I move someone else out since he was the most recent random villager to move to my island? I didn't ask him to come, he just filled the empty plot.
Once tank auto filled my plot so that means I can’t kick him I had to live with him. THEN when Lolly was my campsite visiter she choosed tank!. So that means Lolly is my recent villager. Well I don’t want her to leave anyways
DUDE SAME but with a diff villager tbh i got rid of my recent villagar in 2 DAYS! i just kept hitting him with my net and time traveling THANK gOD THAT ugLY VILLAGER I GOT IS GONE he doesnt fit my theme
I use the campsite and my villager cards to rotate my villagers . I make the DIY that villager wants and proceed to invite them back two more times in the next 48 hours and repeat that process and then that villager I invited asks Tom Nook, he will decline if you have no room for anyone and then the campsite villager will ask you who he should ask to move out, this has worked without difficulty for me many times over and over. This allows me to get the villager I want and the DIY projects that I don't have yet.
I pick the village I want, they visit three separate times, I make the diy they want and they they do the "leg work" to move in and ask the villager that I tell them to ask to move out. Not too many thought bubbles in my village. I don't like to time travel and avoid it at all cost. I just had Octavian in my campsite, I had him move in, but I noticed that when I talked to him a lot, he would get annoyed with me and have these scribbles above his head so I had him move out, he just got in last week but I don't like the way he was getting annoyed by me talking to him, so strange. I never saw this happen before.
Oh yeah! Some villager personality types get annoyed if you talk too much and they will all get the purple swirling cloud if you talk too much but some more than others! I time traveled.... and omg it took me 2 hours and he still wouldn’t frikin leave my village. I also caged his house to make sure he didn’t talk to anyone else, and he kept getting out.... UGHHHHHHH
@@1upPHIL That is the only reason I haven't tried this yet. If it lands on a villager you want to keep, is it possible for them to move out even if you skip ahead until the bubble lands elsewhere? Like can you lose them by mistake? Or will they ONLY move if you tell them to?

I'm not sure about the birthday. On my island i had Deena whose birthday was the 27th and on the 28th she had the bubble to leave. Maybe it's on 7 days before the birthday and not after.

Phil just to confirm...once my new villager moves in I still need to hop one day forward so they are unpacked. Once completely out of boxes I can time travel backwards to my current day and time. But only after they are completely done with move in.
i been tryin to get rid of this random person that moved in, they arent my most recent person to move in (fauna is) and they never ask to leave. I been tryin for 4 days. We have the lowest friendship too
Keep being real nice to others and keep being mean to this one. I’m guessing this villager has good friendship leveled with other villagers too! Keep trying and it’ll eventually happen! Well its not just birthdays that prevent your villager from leaving. If you skip 15 days ahead and it lands on an event like bug catching, fishing toury or a holiday, it cancels out the effect of the thought bubble.
I’ve watched the other videos and this is by far the best most updated one. Thanks for this! I recently moved out Gigi and now gonna try these techniques on tucker my least favorite since start of game!
Honestly I use the method you made since it’s one of the easiest for me :D also the naked floor part 😂😂😂 Edit: also now I know why reneigh wanted to move out so much 😭😭
Ok but check this out - I had Katt as one of my first 2 when I started. I don't like her; I stop talking to her. I un-decorated her yard, filled it with weeds, ignore her, push her, net-wack her, throw away her (DAILY) letters, put her on a cliff with no ramp... she's still happy as a clam. Whitney I moved to a prime location, talk to her every day, yard full of flowers, gifts every day, she uses my nick name... bam she wants to move out. All the pre-reqs were in place and actually I moved Whitney's house the day before she asked to leave. I really think the other villagers contribute - in my case Katt is sisterly and gets on with almost everyone, but Whitney is snooty and I didn't have any of her get-along villagers (I favour smug cranky and lazy). I think you can also drop your friendship points by giving them stuff they don't like such as shoes (no one wears them??) or ugly wallpaper. (sorry for the huge comment I don't know any other AC nerds
Idk if the 7 days thing changed but I had Kyle on my Island ask to leave today and his bday is on the 6th. I didn't want him gone yet also haha. But I did come here cuz I'm tired of waiting for this one villager to leave and I want to find the easiest way. This helped thanks ✨
I don’t think it’s changed but nintendo is always updating the game so you never know. And I’m glad it helped you out! I have a couple other villager kick out videos so be sure to check them out as well!
Well I actually also found a glitch so I used to have Kyle on my island, and he wanted to move out and I said “yeah sure” so I time traveled BACKWARDS and not only that, since I time traveled backwards somehow he wasn’t in boxes, it was like we never had that conversation!!

Quick question: once you do get your existing villager out and the new one in and they're out of their move-in boxes, could you travel back in time to the present after that's happened?

Well done procedure...but, the real way to give the boot to a villager is to simply invest in a set of amiibo's. The game is built around being friends and being famous. Making your neighbors angry seems a bit contrary. Once the campsite is finished and you get your sixth neighbor you can use the amiibo of your choice to come to the campsite. Once there the player makes friends with the new camper and upon the 3rd return will boot the misfit villager out for you. Thus keeping your friendship and fame points. Once the campsite is used there is always one villager who tests your friendship by considering to move. Asking them to stay and addressing their issue earns more points. Once KK plays your can change a villager a day if you have been diligent in recruiting all 10 of your bestie amiibo's. It's the way the game is built to earn money for the corporation. They already got a small fortune out of me so....I got my first set for 19.99.... small cost with big effect.

1upPHIL I already have all 10, I’ve tried time travelling a year, a month, 15 days , a day forward. But I still have never seen a single villager with the thought bubble ....

I had Pinky ask to leave the day before her birthday and she was in boxes on her birthday (so couldn't even celebrate it)💔 miss her but it was her time to go - just feel bad it was on her birthday.
Okay so say I travelled forward, had the convo with a villager, moved them out, moved a new villager in and they're all out of their boxes etc, can I go back to the 'normal' time (so rl time) and still have them or do I lose the villager?

From what I understand with the data miners, that’s correct. I believe you have to get someone else to move out first. I’ve not seen a thought bubble yet for my most recent move in... but let me know if you do!
nope! the only way you will see villagers on the mystery island tour is if you have an open house plot! Although, you will find campsite villagers with max villagers!
Why was it that when I saw the thought bubble appear over a villagers head, but it was one I didn’t want to leave so I didn’t even talk to them and closed my game and restarted it again. I saw a video that says that makes them not leave and another thought bubble would going to appear over someone else’s head after I reloaded, but no one did!! I haven’t seen another thought bubble again for days! How long until I see another one?

so after you get the villager you want to move in, and they have their house exterior and everything, is it possible to time travel back to the current in real life day that you’re playing? or are you stuck in the future forever? i haven’t been able to find an answer to this on any guide
Yeah! You can certainly time travel back! But like you said, in order to avoid the house exterior glitch, just make sure to never travel backwards when moving in/out a villager and only move 1 day forward at a time until they are fully moved in. I covered it briefly here in this video so you are welcome to watch if your bored or something. Yep! You sure can! Sometimes they are the hardest cause your friendship level tends to be a little higher since you have talked with them more than anyone (probably) so if you want them gone just be mean to them and really nice to everyone else! I have a question mixed with a theory, is it more difficult to get villagers to move out BEFORE obtaining KK? cause last night I spent hours (months in game) getting it to work but only 2 created thought bubbles. Everyone else was content
well, some of the restrictions are related to the amount of villagers you have. for example, you need to have at least 8 villagers on your island before thought bubbles start showing up. How many total villagers did you have?
@@1upPHIL I had 10 villagers at all times, they just moved in at undesirable times then no one wanted to leave. They all stayed content for the longest time.
So why aren't we looking at things from this angle? A villager you want to stay wants to move out so tell them no, then TT ahead a week or so then stay around that time for a few days and see if someone else wants to go and if not keep TT forward until someone does. I don't know, except for I've tried and I wore out long before I could get anyone to move out.
Yep! 30 days sets your chances to the max according to the data mining community! The game is coded to set your thought bubble chances to max at 30 days 😃
I skipped forward a month and I've had no luck, although I did try to do this before and I accidentally talked to someone who I didn't want to leave who had a thought bubble, does that affect it?
@@deletoblue9163 I dont believe so, if you talk to them when they want to leave, youd have to have them stay or leave, but i think youd know this. If they stay, another villager wont want to leave until about 30 days pass.
No one seems to tell me how what to do to see my friendship status... Everyone talks about points, but, not to check out point level. Got any pointers. Trying to get a villager to leave since aI have started the game in June 2020. Ugh.....
Talk to all other villagers everyday to increase friendship level with everyone else and start giving the bad villager spoiled turnips as presents and you can also push them around and make them mad to lower friendship level.
Overall I prefer using the campsite if someone shows up that I like--that's how I previously replaced two villagers. I wanted to have a proper villager hunt, though, and after trying and failing how all the videos said to get someone to move I decided to reverse it with great success. Instead of exiting without saving when one wanted to move I simply told them no because then they will not ask again for at least a couple of times and moved forward in time past the cool-down period. Another villager I currently want to keep asked to move out. Again, I told them no and move forward in time. Granted, this can take longer but I got lucky on the third villager.

So, for some strange reason I've been having a problem... I found a really good method but for some reason Timbra, Pietro and Marina (the last villager I brought to my island so she isn't really important) aren't getting the thought bubbles... I never gave them any present or even talked to them, so the friendship level was supposed to be lower than with the other villagers... Why could this be happening?

Keep being real nice to others and keep being mean to this one. I’m guessing this villager has good friendship leveled with other villagers too!

i time skipped a bunch through only one month, and i was very sad when the wrong villager wanted to move, but it works!
Yeah that happens! If it does, don’t save and close the game and time skip one more day at a time till it shows on the right villager!

Well its not just birthdays that prevent your villager from leaving. If you skip 15 days ahead and it lands on an event like bug catching, fishing toury or a holiday, it cancels out the effect of the thought bubble.
I’ve watched the other videos and this is by far the best most updated one. Thanks for this! I recently moved out Gigi and now gonna try these techniques on tucker my least favorite since start of game!
The villager in the thumbnail show up on mystery islands a million times and also show up in campsite. He's now haunting my HHP as well. Geez.

Ok but check this out - I had Katt as one of my first 2 when I started. I don't like her; I stop talking to her. I un-decorated her yard, filled it with weeds, ignore her, push her, net-wack her, throw away her (DAILY) letters, put her on a cliff with no ramp... she's still happy as a clam. Whitney I moved to a prime location, talk to her every day, yard full of flowers, gifts every day, she uses my nick name... bam she wants to move out. All the pre-reqs were in place and actually I moved Whitney's house the day before she asked to leave.
I really think the other villagers contribute - in my case Katt is sisterly and gets on with almost everyone, but Whitney is snooty and I didn't have any of her get-along villagers (I favour smug cranky and lazy). I think you can also drop your friendship points by giving them stuff they don't like such as shoes (no one wears them??) or ugly wallpaper.

I don’t think it’s changed but nintendo is always updating the game so you never know. And I’m glad it helped you out! I have a couple other villager kick out videos so be sure to check them out as well!
Well I actually also found a glitch so I used to have Kyle on my island, and he wanted to move out and I said “yeah sure” so I time traveled BACKWARDS and not only that, since I time traveled backwards somehow he wasn’t in boxes, it was like we never had that conversation!!

Yeah you can tell them to stay! But you can also just kill the game and go to the next day to get the bubble to switch to another villager
I think my thought bubbles weren't showing up because I simply COMPLETELY ignored them. Meaning I never talked to them after they've moved in.
Haha! Yeah that’ll do it I think! Plus you have to get at least 6 villager too.. but def ignoring them like that would cause issues

To increase the chance to move then out, you would want to increase friendship with everyone else and then decrease with that specific villager!

Well done procedure...but, the real way to give the boot to a villager is to simply invest in a set of amiibo's. The game is built around being friends and being famous. Making your neighbors angry seems a bit contrary. Once the campsite is finished and you get your sixth neighbor you can use the amiibo of your choice to come to the campsite. Once there the player makes friends with the new camper and upon the 3rd return will boot the misfit villager out for you. Thus keeping your friendship and fame points. Once the campsite is used there is always one villager who tests your friendship by considering to move. Asking them to stay and addressing their issue earns more points. Once KK plays your can change a villager a day if you have been diligent in recruiting all 10 of your bestie amiibo's. It's the way the game is built to earn money for the corporation. They already got a small fortune out of me so....I got my first set for 19.99.... small cost with big effect.

Yep just make sure that no villagers are moving in and out.. make sure the process is complete and then you can go back to the original time.

I had Pinky ask to leave the day before her birthday and she was in boxes on her birthday (so couldn't even celebrate it)💔 miss her but it was her time to go - just feel bad it was on her birthday.

Okay so say I travelled forward, had the convo with a villager, moved them out, moved a new villager in and they're all out of their boxes etc, can I go back to the 'normal' time (so rl time) and still have them or do I lose the villager?
nope, you won't lose them but don't time travel until you give them a chance to get out of the move in/out boxes or you'll likely get the house glitch where you are stuck with the existing villagers house exterior

From what I understand with the data miners, that’s correct. I believe you have to get someone else to move out first. I’ve not seen a thought bubble yet for my most recent move in... but let me know if you do!

nope! the only way you will see villagers on the mystery island tour is if you have an open house plot! Although, you will find campsite villagers with max villagers!
Why was it that when I saw the thought bubble appear over a villagers head, but it was one I didn’t want to leave so I didn’t even talk to them and closed my game and restarted it again. I saw a video that says that makes them not leave and another thought bubble would going to appear over someone else’s head after I reloaded, but no one did!! I haven’t seen another thought bubble again for days! How long until I see another one?

Otherwise, just restart the process over from the beginning... travel back to original date, save and start agsin
so after you get the villager you want to move in, and they have their house exterior and everything, is it possible to time travel back to the current in real life day that you’re playing? or are you stuck in the future forever? i haven’t been able to find an answer to this on any guide
Yeah! You can certainly time travel back! But like you said, in order to avoid the house exterior glitch, just make sure to never travel backwards when moving in/out a villager and only move 1 day forward at a time until they are fully moved in.
I covered it briefly here in this video so you are welcome to watch if your bored or something. I can’t remember exact time it’s in there but it’s only a few mins long :-)

1upPHIL okay i see. so just to briefly recap, i open my game, save, time travel 30 days ahead from where i am currently. save and close the game. then open the game, and time travel one day at a time until i get the bubble for a character to move? then once the bubbles come and i move them out, can i time travel one more day ahead and then move back to my current time? or am i missing a step? thank you for your help!
Yep you got it except that last part you need to TT 1 day at a time u til the villager is fully moved in, so no boxes in their house.
Alright well then I had a very very rare case because I COULD actually move out the most recent villager to move in

Yep! You sure can! Sometimes they are the hardest cause your friendship level tends to be a little higher since you have talked with them more than anyone (probably) so if you want them gone just be mean to them and really nice to everyone else! And then follow me little time travel guide and they will move!

well, some of the restrictions are related to the amount of villagers you have. for example, you need to have at least 8 villagers on your island before thought bubbles start showing up. How many total villagers did you have?

So why aren't we looking at things from this angle? A villager you want to stay wants to move out so tell them no, then TT ahead a week or so then stay around that time for a few days and see if someone else wants to go and if not keep TT forward until someone does. I don't know, except for I've tried and I wore out long before I could get anyone to move out.

Yep! 30 days sets your chances to the max according to the data mining community! The game is coded to set your thought bubble chances to max at 30 days 😃

@@deletoblue9163 I dont believe so, if you talk to them when they want to leave, youd have to have them stay or leave, but i think youd know this. If they stay, another villager wont want to leave until about 30 days pass.
No one seems to tell me how what to do to see my friendship status... Everyone talks about points, but, not to check out point level. Got any pointers. Trying to get a villager to leave since aI have started the game in June 2020. Ugh.....
Talk to all other villagers everyday to increase friendship level with everyone else and start giving the bad villager spoiled turnips as presents and you can also push them around and make them mad to lower friendship level.

No one on RUclips reveals actually how long it takes them. It’s really frustrating cause I’ve been trying for weeks all the different types too😞
Overall I prefer using the campsite if someone shows up that I like--that's how I previously replaced two villagers. I wanted to have a proper villager hunt, though, and after trying and failing how all the videos said to get someone to move I decided to reverse it with great success. Instead of exiting without saving when one wanted to move I simply told them no because then they will not ask again for at least a couple of times and moved forward in time past the cool-down period. Another villager I currently want to keep asked to move out. Again, I told them no and move forward in time. Granted, this can take longer but I got lucky on the third villager.

The campsite method doesn’t factor in here! Which is cool cause I’d you do get a camper you might be able to use them to kick someone out!

So, for some strange reason I've been having a problem...
I found a really good method but for some reason Timbra, Pietro and Marina (the last villager I brought to my island so she isn't really important) aren't getting the thought bubbles... I never gave them any present or even talked to them, so the friendship level was supposed to be lower than with the other villagers... Why could this be happening?
