Over the past few month i've been working to transform Boatem Town from season 8 of HermitCraft! Join me today as I work on Mumbo's mega base and other builds in the Boatem area!

To be honest, I want to see you build up Mumbo's sphere base. Mainly because I really want to see an aquarium built into the lower half finally added. He had promised one almost all season and never delivered

'Slightly larger' ah yes. Just a bit. Bro proceeds to create a mini mega base in it's own right and just moves on like it's nothing.
The creative-mode equivalent of "I did some off-camera mining".

I feel Mumbo’s waterfall and river ends strangely. You should continue it underground and eventually lead to a waterfall down the boatem hole

Mango: So anyway I decided to make the VolCarbo *SLIGHTLY* Bigger!
My man made an entire VolCarbo Biome
I feel like the boatem pole itself should be how it originally was, and the statue (which I also for sure think needs to be smaller) should be made out of stony blocks.
Also someone else said it and I want to help spread the idea. The waterfall and river doesn't go anywhere. It just comes to a dead end. Instead, make it go through an underground tunnel (preferably one a player can also go through) and down the boatem hole. You could probably even make it go through the meeting room. I think that would be a seriously cool feature that would do more to bring everything together.
After rewatching the video of Grian's base upgrade, I realised that the waterfall could go into a tunnel and connect as well. And the chocolate river. and possibly things from Pearl's and Scar's bases. All connecting up into a single river/tunnel. That seems like it would be so cool.
You are one of the only RUclipsrs I know who actually put in the time to heart and reply and read almost all of the comments, I really appreciate that and keep up your fantastic work!

One thing that bothered me is that I think the bridges were meant to be a bit dodge to walk on, hence the broken and dainty look

Also just some small additions to mumbos base and a tiny few for pearls
Mumbo should have a giant potato brain in the statue it would really affect the surrounding atmosphere
Pearls is just a few more trees and then a small picnic area where pearls would watch the sun set

I would love Mumbo and Grians season 6 bases, and also the whole season 7 jungle area including Stresses base, she needs more recognition :))
the temple aspect you brought back is nice but i think it clashes with the new statue. i would have prefered if it were kept square and stylized, as if it were an ancient god statue that the peace love and plant followers have build their village around, this more so looks like a goofy modern clay project. if anything it should incorporate elements of the ancient temple design, as if those same people cut it out of the mountain itself maybe

I've been loving this series so far. I would love to see your take on the shopping district from season 7
try adding glass fire gradient + cobweb trails to the flying potatoes to add more velocity and effect
edit: the large statue of the pole definitely needs to be included somewhere in boatem. maybe on scars' base next to his statue?
As someone whos done editing on videos like this, well done. Those small sound effects, like the night vision activation, do not go unnoticed!

Man, seeing what you're doing here really makes me wish Season 8 had lasted longer. I really want to know how all of these bases would have turned out if the actual Hermits had managed to keep working on them.

Amazing transformation once again! I'm really, *REALLY* running out of synonyms of good at this point...
One thing I'll mension is, I can't believe that you looked at the cute lil' volcano that Mumbo made, said _NAH, I could do better_ and literally made a mega volcano near Boatem, that's some unhinged stuff right there, it looks epic too. You forgot to include the potato-weilding zombie that lived in Volcarbo rent-free though, that's sad.
One more thing I'll add, is that although I love the dense village aesthetic of the Boatem as is, it's definitely worth mentioning that it's starting to become a tad overstuffed and busy for the eyes, which sometimes can be a bad thing. That's just me being annoying and nitpicky though.
I look forward to seeing how you'll tackle Impulse's factory, how you'll blend it with the rest of the Boatem crew and of course, how you finish off the boatem hole! And speaking of the titular hole, *6:54* You REALLY should have dangled a couple goats instead of pigs, as that's exactly what Grian did in Season 8 to intimidate the Octagon gang.

My primary suggestion would be to, instead of copying the boatem pole, reimagine it with some more realism. As a tribute to the original, maybe do some map art or import a custom painting of it somewhere in Boatem. One other one would be to edit the small mumbo statues in front of the base and add a beacon underneath the moon shrine. Otherwise it looks freaking incredible! Keep up the amazing work.
i love the trees and the ancient temple parts you added; they complement mumbo's theme well. personally, i think the moon on the shrine looked better in yellow and the statue on top of the base looked better in a blocky form because they felt kind of whimsical and colorful like the rest of mumbo's base. i also think the bridges need more wear to them, like holes and more broken bits, and i agree with another comment that suggested the river should connect to the ocean behind his base. a smaller boatem pole would be better; otherwise it completely eclipses the rest of the area.
your transformations are very fitting and beautiful, and i like how respectful you are of the original builder's visions. i look forward to more videos.

I think the big boatem pole fits really good with the larger builds you have created / transformed so far. I would also love to see the butterflies flying around the whole boatem area.
Maybe after boatem, you can finish Pearl's season IX base, its a beautiful base, and I think you AMAZING skills would look insanely good on it
i personally think the giant boatem statue is perfect lol. it’s how the place got its name and is really important to how it all started, and i like that it sort of looms over the whole area!

Omg! This looks amazing! Boatem was one of my favorite things in season 8 and you made it even better! I can't wait to see the finale with Impulsesv's chocolate factory! I became a big impulse fan on season 8 because of the theme and was really bummed down when he didn't have enough time to finish it, got excited again when he went back to it with his create series but he kind of stopped that as well because the ginormous and magical factory really is a lot to take in but now if there is one person who can do it it's definitely you! I'm super excited again! 🎉🎉
Since the houses on grian's base were intended to tie the bases together, in my opinion, you should add more. Looks incredible though!

the boatemhole statue should be smaller
Another amazing video! The only think I would improve upon, is adding some lights in the windows of the buildings (or atleast a few), so that it looks like there is life coming from the buildings.

One thing that 's kinda bothered me in the other videos is the fact that the heads you used for the hourglasses are the season 10 heads, which really stands out for Grian and Impulse.
I'm not sure if I'd be able to fix that, but I'll see if I can
The Big Bees and Parrots on the Thumbnail look great, maybe you could add them to the build aswell?

I got an idea mango if ur interested u could build a giant medieval fantasy city with a gigantic palace on a mountain top in the middle and a train station in the city too and maybe make the city look like its rich and full of power

I have a suggestion, You should change the roof of the interior in Mumbo's base to a Night Sky like grians. He stated his idea in Episode 24 : Chest Monster and the time stamp is 20:12

I think fitting a race track somewhere in mumbos base would be great given his Tokyo Drift phase, maybe even a racecoarse circling the volcarbo isle? With a garage and a couple of "bikes"

Removing the Pillbug before the explaination was a dangerous move, imagine a lot of pople paused, commented, and either left or wached on and hopefully changed / deleted the comment.
Also an idea that hit me when you tarted on Mumbo's Van. if you're willing to go back on it : Have you ever head of the german Kids show "Löwenzahn"? thought it might fit with it being a show about (amongst other things) Natue + Mumbo drives a German VW Bus so it would also tie into that.
